Chapter 2577 - Demon Realm Amusement Park ⑧

Thanks to the Fast Road we used right away, we quickly arrived in front of the Dragon Adventure attraction we were aiming for, but the rocky mountain really was absurdly huge.

And in front of that rocky mountain stood a building, which apparently served as the starting point. Since this was a pre-opening event, there were quite a lot of invited guests due to the sheer scale of the amusement park.

That was because anyone who received an invitation could bring along as many companions as they wanted, so long as they declared them beforehand. That was why nearly all of us had come together, and along the way here, I’d also seen groups like families and coworkers visiting together, so there were definitely a fair number of people around.

Still, unlike us, who had prior knowledge about amusement parks and, thanks to Hina-chan’s advice, had narrowed down the attractions we wanted to visit with the intent of covering the entire park, most people weren’t making a beeline for Dragon Adventure, which was located relatively near the center of the Aqua Area.

They were probably stopping by the attractions between the entrance and here first.

At the very least, there didn’t seem to be any line, making it feel like we were the first visitors for this attraction.

[Are we the first ones here? Let’s go in already!]

[……Does this mean that rocky mountain over there actually has nothing to do with it?]

[No, I think the attraction probably takes us inside that mountain. This building’s just the reception area, I guess.]

[Ahh, I see……]

Watching the visibly excited Hina-chan, I gave a brief explanation after Sieg-san muttered his confusion. From our perspective, it was easy enough to guess that some kind of coaster would take us into the mountain, but for someone unfamiliar with amusement parks, it probably looked like we were heading toward a completely separate building from the rocky mountain itself.

Once we stepped inside, the first thing that caught my eye was a sign labeled Entry Restrictions, which read: “Reduction to under 3 meters mandatory”. It should refer to large species adjusting their size through Humanization or Body Shrinking Magic. It was actually a fairly common size restriction even in cities…… apparently, “under three meters” was treated as a general standard.

Further ahead…… was an area that somewhat resembled an Adventurers’ Guild reception desk, where we checked in for entry. There didn’t seem to be any other waiting guests, so we were immediately guided onward as we followed the attendant.

Waiting for us there was a 10-person coaster, and thankfully, it matched our group size perfectly, so it looked like all of us could ride together in one go.

[Aoi-senpai, let’s ride in the very front! The very front!]

[Eh? N- No, the front seat is a bit…… my hairstyle will get ruined……]

[Then Kaito-senpai! Let’s ride in the front together!!!]

[Ahaha, sure.]

Watching the unusually high-energy Hina-chan with a smile, I sat in the front seat beside her as requested. I’d thought we’d be secured with some kind of solid safety bar, but when the attendant operated the coaster, a ring-like band made of magic wrapped itself around my waist.

I guess it was basically the equivalent of a seatbelt? Since it didn’t secure our shoulders or anything, either the ride wasn’t the type that reached extreme speeds, or the coaster itself was protected by some kind of anti-fall magic formula.

Before long, the coaster started moving. At the same moment, part of the scenery ahead blurred, and a humanoid bird figure appeared, wearing a survival jacket and goggles, giving off a cool adventurer vibe.

“Yo, so you’re the adventurers who accepted the investigation request alongside me huh? Name’s Falcon. I may not look it, but I’m a fairly well-known adventurer. Well, since we’re doing this joint investigation together, let’s get along.”

Apparently, the setting was that we had accepted an investigation request regarding that rocky mountain as adventurers, and this Bird Beastman named Falcon, who would be conducting the investigation with us, served as the guide for the attraction.

[Eh? That’s amazing. Is this some kind of hologram?]

[They probably used Illusion Magic or something like that.]

[Whoa~~]

As Hina-chan let out an impressed voice beside me, the coaster continued moving forward at a slow pace while Falcon kept speaking as the guide.

“So apparently, all sorts of dragons have been gathering around that rocky mountain. Normally, dragons tend to be highly territorial, so it’s rare for multiple species to gather in the same place…… but maybe there’s something in that mountain attracting dragonkind…… hm!?”

Falcon’s expression suddenly turned serious mid-explanation, and he started glancing around warily.

“This is bad. A Red Dragon and a Wing Dragon are fighting nearby. Getting caught up in that would be trouble. We’re heading into the mountain immediately!”

The moment he said that, a roar like that of dragons echoed out, and ahead of us, a red dragon and a green dragon could be seen engaged in aerial combat.

They obviously weren’t real, just another Illusion Magic performance, but the sense of presence was overwhelming, and as we got closer, the Red Dragon suddenly breathed flames straight toward us.

“Tsk, we’re pushing through!”

The coaster accelerated toward the approaching flames, and we plunged directly into the inferno. I instinctively braced myself, but…… as expected, it was only an Illusion Magic effect, and there was no heat at all.

Even so, the quality of it all was incredible…… This attraction really looked like it was going to be amazing.

[Red Dragons and Wing Dragons…… indeed, ecologically speaking, they’re two species unlikely to share the same habitat. However, there have been a few recorded cases where both were sighted simultaneously……]

Also, there was apparently an actual enthusiast sitting behind us…… it was just Lilia-san though……
