And so, Rir’s four subordinates went back to keeping watch over the area, while Rir and Setsu set off in search of their next prey. Yata, who had been on guard from the sky, let out a “caaaah!” cry, alerting Rir and the others.
After a little while, Rir also sensed the presence of the enemy that Yata had spotted.
The distance was still far away.
The enemy hadn’t noticed them at all, so it was possible to avoid it… but that was just right.

Setsu had also noticed Yata’s cry. When she asked “Dad, what is it?”, Rir simply replied, “Dad’s prey has arrived. This is a good opportunity, so let me show you how it is done,” and headed in that direction with his daughter.

Though humanoid, cyclopes were ferocious and lacked the intelligence to coexist with others, so they were treated as monsters.
But they were still creatures living in the wild.
Normally, a cyclops wouldn’t even think of approaching Rir and the others, but right now, because of Setsu’s hunt, they have completely erased their presence.
So Cyclops didn’t realize the difference in his and Rir’s strength.

To the girl who was frightened by the size and strength of the opponent’s presence, Rir simply implied that “Watch this,” and stepped forward.
“Guuuoaaaaaahh!!”
The Cyclops released a threatening roar.
The loud sound emanating from the giant’s body made the air tremble, and Setsu instinctively lowered her ears and hid her tail between her legs and stepped back, but Rir, on the other hand, remained cool.
The Cyclops was so noisy that Rir couldn’t help but sigh, and, perhaps irritated by his prey, Rir roared back as the Cyclops started to charge toward him, knocking down trees with and raising his club.
The distance between the two closed, and in the next moment, the giant, who was within range, swung his club down – but he couldn’t.
It was because Rir, who had somehow gotten close to the Cyclops, cut the giant’s body into three pieces with his claws.
It was just a simple swing of his claws.
The Cyclops didn’t even realize what had happened to him.
The club he had not even been able to swing completely spun around because of the momentum of his swing that was stopped abruptly and fell to the ground. Next, his torn arms and body parts followed. Lastly, the remaining parts of his collapsed.
Setsu was stunned for a moment, unable to keep up with the overwhelming result of the battle, but when she saw that her enemy had fallen and her father was still standing unharmed, she realized what happened.
“Kuu! Kuu!” (Setsu)
Setsu hopped around in excitement and implied that, “Dad is spectacular!”
Rir also let out a cry with relaxed expression, “Kuu, Kuuu”
Rir implied that, “A Fenrir’s weapons are his fangs, claws and speed. If you’re faster than your opponent, you can hit them first and avoid their attacks. You can be one or two steps ahead. Being fast can also increase strength. So play a lot, move your body a lot, eat a lot, and develop your body. I’ll teach you how to hunt little by little, but you have to grow up first.”
“Kuu…?” (Setsu)
