I was relaxing at the inn with Lefi and Sakuya.

We looked at the sleeping Sakuya and lay down next to him.

We weren’t taking a nap, but our heads were resting on the tatami mats.

I looked at my child and wife.

Sakuya was sleeping peacefully and cutely, and Lefi was gently stroking his head.

Although Sakuya wasn’t as big as Setsu, who had grown so quickly, Sakuya was also growing rapidly and the day when he would be able to crawl like Riou would be coming soon.

The familiar scent of my wife.

I touched Lefi and hugged her tightly, but when I went closer…

If Riou was a friend, then Sakuya was like a master. When it came to Setsu, the pets didn’t seem to be bothered about her position in the current hierarchy at all.

You guys were supposed to be my pets… Well, it was fine if they ended up serving my son.

By the way, unlike Sakuya who was not afraid at all, Riou had keen senses and was a bit of a scaredy-cat, but she didn’t get scared even when she saw the rather terrifying Orochi. She actually was happy to see him, so she probably realized that they were our pets.

By the way, Seimi was someone that both Riou and Sakuya loved and got very excited when she was around. Apparently, the babies loved the soft, bouncy movements of the water spirit.

“Kaka, that’s true. Rir and the others seem to be looking forward to the day they can put our son on their backs. They’re just as excited as you, and it seems like they’re looking forward to seeing him grow up.” (Lefi)
