Chapter 1001 - 993: Fate’s Retribution!?
Chapter 1001: Chapter 993: Fate’s Retribution!?
Thirty years later.
The mining of Sands of Time is far more complex compared to many other resources; a Mechanical Puppet typically manages to collect only one or two grains a day on average.
Every month, Vine Manacles Waldman delivers the mined Sands of Time to Waterflame Mountain.
Of course, each time she secretly leaves behind a small portion, her never-ending greed obviously disregarding Green’s past warnings.
"So beautiful..."
The Sands of Time slide from between her fingers, falling into a high-grade sealed container as Waldman slightly parts her lips, emitting a soft sigh, utterly intoxicated, her gaze dreamy.
Whether it’s a Second-Level Wizard advancing to a Third-Level Great Sorcerer or a Third-Level Great Sorcerer ascending to Stigmata, Sands of Time can serve as an excellent aid for advancement. These Time-related Treasures are invaluable beyond imagination to Low-grade Wizards, even being rewarded as century prizes in Holy Towers, reflecting its astonishing value.
Even for Stigmata, it’s still a significant resource; for Low-grade Wizards, if Waldman steals just one to two percent of Sands of Time each time and trade it back in Wizard World after thirty years...
"Unable to restrain the endless greed for possession**, even as the trusted assistant wizard in charge can’t fulfill the role!"
At the seabed of Boiling Sea, amidst numerous shattered rocks where Mechanical Puppets are mining Sands of Time, a puppet that looks ordinary and unremarkable suddenly turns to gaze far away at the Witch.
This is where a strand of Green’s Soul Fire conceals itself within the Mechanical Puppet.
"Forget it, since it’s like this, let’s take the opportunity to observe the so-called superconductive time phenomenon; it’s a rare specimen for observation."
Saying that, the Mechanical Puppet continues to dig into the seabed rocks, working tirelessly.
Ten days passed, and the month-end arrived once again.
Thousands of Mechanical Puppets lined up, some with no harvest, others with abundant yields, submitting the Sands of Time they mined. The pile in front of Waldman grew larger and larger, combined with the portion she personally withheld, the total equaled three months of mining yield.
"What is this...?"
Suddenly, the Saint Trace Soul of Green concealed within the Mechanical Puppet sensed a strange fluctuation.
It was an indescribable sensation, like walking on a dark road in childhood when suddenly a chill enveloped the body!
On the surface, it appeared nothing was happening, yet there was an absurd anxiety deep within, unable to be suppressed.
This came from the instinctual sixth sense of life, rather than rational cognition; the mysterious and eerie Time Wizards, through space-time witchcraft, have been able to explain this strange phenomenon, known as string theory.
The world in the eyes of Time Wizards differs from that of ordinary Wizards.
In the eyes of Time Wizards, this second of our existence is a rebirth from the previous second, and the next second sees us as having already perished.
Within the three-dimensional space system formed by length, width, and height, a Lower Being gradually moves towards a higher-order being’s temporal axis, progressively forming.
In Ancient Times, there was a period when the Elemental Wizards in their exploration of the Truth Mystery believed that our perception of Endless World’s space seemed like a closed elevator shaft. As long as Wizards could make breakthroughs in time cognition and find the Sands of Time controlling the movement of the closed elevator, they could step into higher dimensional theory!
Just thinking about it fills one with immense anticipation!
For this pursuit, while the Slave Legion from Wizard World continuously explored and invaded space, the most elite among the Ancient Elemental Witches began venturing down the path of time exploration, aiming to break through the Endless World dimensional limits with knowledge, rather than becoming Ninth Level Beings of Mysterious Power.
The Wizards desired the Truth Mystery that could be demonstrated, the strength that could absolutely dominate the Endless World!
Not only did they want to break through this dimensional theory, but also return, and from a higher dimensional "god" standpoint, break any worlds, civilizations, or beings that dared to resist the Wizard’s Will within the Endless World dimension.
Manipulating time and space within one’s grasp, teasing those inside like a higher-order being outside the box — what a grand ambition!
Among the greatest and most outstanding figures since the birth of Wizard civilization, Antonio seemed to have reached the limits of Wizard exploration, admired by diminutive creatures as akin to the deities depicted in classical novels.
But then what was the outcome?
Even for one as powerful as he, ultimately adhering to the basic Wizard power formula, using an energy base point to pry into higher-level rules for personal use as a being.
Just as creatures from the Material World can soar in the Void World yet are not Void Creatures, beings living real-time can survive in the Superconductive Chrono, but they are not Superconductive Chrono Beings, unable to adapt to its rules.
Those Wizards researching the Truth Mystery of Time couldn’t find the Dimensional Gate to higher dimensions; they merely elongated and expanded Wizard’s cognition depth of the Endless World. It’s vast and boundless, seemingly without edges or endpoints; the more explored, understood, and recognized, the more one marvels at its greatness and fears the existence beyond dimensional theory.
What kind of power would beings need to stand above such a vast and boundless world, treating it as a box?
No one knows.
The beings that ascend to Ninth Level merely linger for an Hourglass in the Endless World, transforming into Mysterious Power outside of the Endless World, never to return.
According to Green’s speculation, perhaps some information was gleaned from Antonio, the Wizard civilization’s closest to the Truth, which Green has known as three clues.
Book of Destiny, Lever of Destiny, Dimensional Gap handkerchief.
Two of these point directly to destiny, while another relates to the Dimensional Gap, certainly implying this Ancient Wizard’s guesses regarding the limits beyond his cognition.
Green firmly believes only a Wizard standing at the same height as this Ancient Wizard could attempt a deeper exploration of Truth Mystery beyond his foundation.
Furthermore, maybe a Wizard with extraordinary wisdom and insight is already planning an even higher level of exploration, except the Ancient War disrupted his plans...
"Huh!"
Concealed within the Mechanical Puppet, this strand of Green’s Saint Trace Soul suddenly came up with a bold speculation never considered before.
Could it be destiny’s punishment!?
Though not reaching the punishment to the extent of Xiahe civilization Titan, it was far greater than the Dinosaur World’s punishment, punishing Antonio for daring to challenge it, even implicating the Wizard civilization!
This unprecedented bold conjecture made Green’s main body, engaged in rune drawing at Waterflame Mountain, involuntarily take a cold breath and pause.
"If one could know the exact time of Lever of Destiny’s birth, perhaps the speculation could be verified..."
Just as Green’s main body murmured to itself, it suddenly discovered through the Saint Trace Soul hidden within the Mechanical Puppet an anomaly in Alderman, who had become a specimen of observation.
