A Sorcerer’s Journey

Chapter 1226 - 1227: Abyssal Demons

Chapter 1226: Chapter 1227: Abyssal Demons

Around the Thunder Demon Eye, the thunder gradually subsides into tranquility.

The once idle Ancient Heart has now become the guardian of the Demon Feather Phoenix, preventing any interference from those attempting to awaken it from its fearful illusion. Two human-faced spider avatars that tried to interfere were thwarted one after the other.

Under the gaze of all, with a "poof" sound, the dry rotted wooden axe in the one-armed mummy’s hand fell, aiming at the motionless, blood-soaked Demon Feather Phoenix and striking its body!

"Success!"

In disbelief, the will of the Thunder Demon Eye exclaimed with excitement.

The body of this Demon Feather Phoenix was too formidable, even with the power of the Terror Magic Eye, it could only tear away a small piece of flesh. Despite being trapped in a fearful illusion, the body continued to regenerate ceaselessly. It was impossible to completely seal the Demon Feather Phoenix using the limited number of Terror Magic Eyes.

Thus, this terror-inducing mummy became one of the last resorts of the Thunder Demon Eye.

With its powerful terror deterrent, if successful, even the strong physique of the Demon Feather Phoenix could be dragged into the deepest part of the Terror Rift all at once.

At this moment, as the rotted wooden axe in the one-armed mummy’s hand struck the shoulder of the Demon Feather Phoenix, visible sweat began to trickle down some relatively intact patches of skin. The innate regenerative speed of the body obviously slowed down, and even came to a halt.

Black smoke from the mummy’s body poured into the Demon Feather Phoenix through the axe. Simultaneously, disgusting insects with skeletal patterns and wails that covered the mummy seemed to receive an order and crawled out from under the mummy’s bandages, drilling into the Demon Feather Phoenix!

The powerful physique had no effect on these insects; they followed the rule of fear rather than physical rules!

Wherever these insects drilled into, it left a black hole as thick as a finger on the Demon Feather Phoenix’s body, slowly rotting and corroding outward.

"Why don’t you kill me? Why don’t you let me be free? Why..."

The one-armed mummy roared low and hoarse, the bandages connecting its back were being dragged within the Ripple Mirror Screen by an unknown presence, producing a noise like someone rubbing two pieces of rotted wood, echoed by the Thunder Demon Eye in the Ripple Mirror Screen, dragging it back into a fear-inducing rift with low sand and sinister laughter.

The Demon Feather Phoenix seemed to be integrated with the mummy’s axe, allowing the rotten bandage filled with sinister snickering to drag it towards the illusion of the Ripple Mirror Screen.

Closer, even closer, nearing!

Only the last short distance remained, and the monsters in the depths of the Terror Fissures within the Ripple Mirror Screen began to laugh insidiously with anticipation.

Behind the Ripple Mirror Screen, the shrunken Thunder Demon Eye trembled slightly.

Having honed itself within the Dimensional Esophagus, it realized it was no longer the same inferior little Demon Eye it once was!

Contemplating the sturdy physique and the pure demonic qi swirling around its feathers, raised battle instincts reaching their peak, the Thunder Demon Eye’s spirits rose.

From this moment, emerging from the Silk Nether Palace will be the strongest predator, setting new rules for the Convergence Grounds of the Piercing Gate!

As for itself...

"Heh heh heh, fooled you."

Suddenly, just as the Thunder Demon Eye reached its peak of excitement, pulling the one-armed mummy to the last segment of the Ripple Mirror Screen, equally close to the Thunder Demon Eye, the Demon Feather Phoenix let out a cold, cruel, and sinister laugh.

Or rather, it came from within its body!

The pupil of the Thunder Demon Eye contracted suddenly, and almost without thinking, the surrounding thunder roared, yet a black shadow was faster, ignoring the devastating thunder, a claw covered with dense black scales grabbed the Thunder Demon Eye!

"An interesting ability, caller of the Terror Magic Eye."

In the terror of all within the Silk Nether Palace, the Demon Feather Phoenix, controlled entirely by the one-armed mummy, revealed a half-emerged humanoid monster from its chest, infant-like and plump, yet covered in black scales.

The monster bared a chilling grin, lacking eyes, a head, or ears, possessing only a wide-open mouth stretching across its face. Among its rows of teeth was a crimson tongue extending out, still stained with remnants of disgusting skeletal-patterned insects that wailed as they drilled into the Demon Feather Phoenix’s body.

"Abyssal Demons!"

Having initiated a counter-attack during the Nether Spider King’s weakened state, Green inhaled deeply upon witnessing this scene, his three-colored light eyes widened violently.

The time had come!

"Laphie’s Wonderful Moments Self-Sealing Spell, unseal!"

Buzz!

Vast and majestic power burst from within Green, contending against the suppressive force of the Silk Nether Palace from all sides, his aura spiraling upwards, causing the Netherified Nether Spider King to abruptly pause mid-air pursuit, its restored dark eyes wide with awe.

Elsewhere.

Crackle, crackle, crackle...

Within the monstrous claw, the Thunder Demon Eye struggled almost hysterically, the entire Silk Nether Palace echoing with rampant thunderclaps. Light and shadow flickered constantly, each shattering thunder consuming the abyssal demonic qi on the claw repeatedly, yet this monster seemed to possess inexhaustible demonic qi, unaffected by it all.

"Why not kill..."

The one-armed mummy, hollow eye sockets emitting black smoke, swung the axe into the Demon Feather Phoenix’s body, its hoarse wailing echoed once more as terror-ridden black smoke continuously poured into the Demon Feather Phoenix, hoping to affect the Abyssal Demon emerging halfway from its abdomen.

Boom!

Suddenly, a crimson tongue directly punched through the mummy’s head!

The fear and ominous aura of the just-speaking mummy seemed laughable.

As the red tongue pulled the mummy back in front of itself, the demon creature’s other hand, not holding the Thunder Demon Eye, swiftly pulled the Terror Axe from the Demon Feather Phoenix’s right shoulder, and repeatedly chopped at the incessantly murmuring "why not kill me" one-armed mummy...

In an instant, the once shriveled mummy was chopped into countless pieces.

Nearby, the Ancient Heart, originally protecting the Demon Feather Phoenix from interference by the human-faced spider avatars in the illusion, was startled by the sudden turn of events, extending a Temporal Fault arm to rescue the Thunder Demon Eye.

"Heh heh, Temporal Fault?"

The Demon Feather Phoenix, liberated from the fearful illusion, let out a cruel, sinister laugh with a tone different from the Abyssal Demon within, gathering an unthinkable amount of abyssal demonic qi on an arm almost instantaneously. In the next moment, it plunged directly into the Temporal Fault, reaching for the Ancient Heart enveloped in the dull yellow gem!

The Temporal Fault disassembled the abyssal demonic qi on the claw at an astonishing rate, then continued with the feathers and flesh, yet the Demon Feather Phoenix remained undeterred. Within a "poof" sound, the skeletal claw gripped the dull yellow gem tightly.

"Ah..."

Within the scream of the Ancient Heart, a rule-based creature of time, its form twisted and collapsed as demonic qi invaded it.
