Chapter 704: Tide of the Void

Chapter 704: Chapter 704: Tide of the Void

Without realizing it, five years have passed.

In five years, Cappuccino has transformed from a wild girl who only knew how to play and was forced to learn witchcraft knowledge under her grandfather’s compulsion, into a graceful and captivating young woman, constantly exuding feminine charm. Rumors of this beautiful girl have spread not only in Biselle City but also throughout other cities of East Coral Island.

In comparison, another distinctive feature of Cappuccino is the uniquely characteristic Eight Brother on her shoulder, which has become an iconic part of her persona.

...

On the other side.

For five years, Green has been hiding in the caves of the mountains surrounding Biselle City, only appearing once every one or two months to exchange the Wizard Books he had studied in the basement of the Lord’s Manor for new ones, and then disappearing again.

After five years of continuous effort, assisted by the astonishing otherworldly creature summoning and communication knowledge accumulated by the old wizard, Green’s spatial and temporal knowledge has been advancing rapidly. This is a significant help in the nearly complete ’Grand Sorcery of Sacrificial Descent.’

On the altar, energies intertwined, and a Phantasmal Clock slowly rotated.

Green, quietly waiting on the side, prepared three Destiny Contracts he had signed, exhaled lightly, and muttered in a low voice, "Just in time."

One of the prerequisite conditions for casting the Grand Sorcery of Sacrificial Descent is the necessity of utilizing the Tide of the Void. The Tide of the Void around the Wizard World can occur from several times a year to once every few thousand years. Fortunately, according to Green’s calculations, the closest Tide of the Void to Wizard World would happen today.

As such, under the pressure of every second counting, Green completed this Foreign Domain communication sorcery a month ago.

This would be Green’s first attempt to proactively contact a Creature of Another World using his witchcraft knowledge.

Ding dong, ding dong, ding dong, ding dong...

As the clock ticked closer and closer to the time Green had calculated for the arrival of the Tide of the Void, taking a deep breath, Green gathered a large amount of Force of Nature with his hands and suddenly tore at the space before him.

The relative boundary of space!

In the eyes of ordinary creatures, people seem to live within a three-dimensional world of length, width, and height. The only way to break through the world’s boundaries is to venture into the Void Turbulence above the Chaos Layer. But in the eyes of creatures with an understanding of the relative boundary of space, we are merely living on layers of ’spatial sheets.’

At any time, whenever we recognize the sheet beneath our feet, we can travel through this layer of relative spatial boundary sheet, traversing from within the world to the outside world, becoming a mystical creature playing with space in the eyes of ignorant creatures.

Witchcraft is just like this. To a wizard who understands it as fundamental knowledge, everything is natural. But to other creatures who only see the surface phenomena or wizards who don’t understand the knowledge, Green is an unexplainable being who suddenly disappeared, leaving this world inexplicably.

Within the Endless Void, whose area equals that of the endless worlds combined, void energy and void creatures are pervasive.

Void Energy is relative to any energy or matter in the Material World, encountering it results in an annihilation effect.

Just as void creatures will gradually dissipate and die within the world, creatures from the Material World experience the same process in the Void World. Living in the Void World is like inhabiting the shadow of the Material World, with completely different and incompatible rules.

These void creatures, entirely different from endless world life forms, even the most basic unconscious Void Worm, can range in size from tens to hundreds of meters, forming the foundational order of void rules.

Meanwhile, void creatures with self-awareness and devouring talents range from hundreds to thousands of kilometers in size; these are considered ordinary. The truly powerful, top-tier void creatures, their size even exceeds a world itself, and they are in the process of world’s birth.

Upon entering the void, Green immediately activated his magic power to protect himself, resulting in the annihilation effect between magic power and void force.

For a creature to venture into the Endless Void truly, a basic standard must be achieved where its self-generating energy can counteract the consumption of void energy. Only the Endless Dominators can achieve this.

As for the World Masters and Sorcery Instruments like the Spy Shadow Falling Star, they can only resist the void force’s erosion for a long enough time, allowing them to replenish energy in the countless worlds within the void.

"The Tide of the Void, it’s here!"

Under the Face of Truth, Green sensed a magnetic field and light waves beginning to disturb the balance rules in this dark, chaotic void world, heralding the arrival of the Tide of the Void. Although Green needed the power of the Tide of the Void to cast the ’Grand Sorcery of Sacrificial Descent,’ Green would by no means encounter the Tide of the Void directly.

Being lost in the Tide of the Void poses a risk even to Stigma Sorcerers and World Masters, not to mention a weak life form like Green who can only briefly remain in the Void World relying on his own strength.

As the balance rules were disrupted, Green saw threads of time begin to unravel.

Threads of time, occasionally flickering and twisting, suddenly drilled into some illusory world, disappearing without a trace.

"A temporal rift!"

With quick reflexes, Green cast the Grand Sorcery of Sacrificial Descent, sending a Destiny Contract into the Illusory World through this temporal rift. But the result made Green’s heart give a slight "screech," as the Destiny Contract failed.

Not giving up, Green performed the Grand Sorcery of Sacrificial Descent again, yet the result was still the same, a failure!

Under the Face of Truth, Green’s breathing became slightly rapid.

Not only because two of the only three times he prepared the Grand Sorcery of Sacrificial Descent had already failed, but also because the Tide of the Void had drawn near. Faced with the Tide of the Void, Green was as small as an ant facing a raging flood, the inherent fear from the Soul Fire making his concentration unmatched.

Finally, with intense focus, Green achieved the intended effect during the final performance of the Grand Sorcery of Sacrificial Descent. The temporal rift carried the Destiny Contract into a distant, unknown world, waiting for the intelligent creatures there to sign this "Devil’s Contract."

Yet, in this endeavor, Green failed to notice some changes in himself.

Due to the Tide of the Void’s proximity, some Void Force penetrated Green’s magical protection, even piercing the rainbow light of the Robe of Appearances. However, because of his World’s Veil physique rules, Green’s body not only wasn’t annihilated but rather experienced some strange annihilation effects vastly different from Green’s Water and Fire Hedging Destructive Force.

The "purer" annihilation force generated by the collision between material energy and void energy was actually absorbed by Green’s World’s Veil physique!

With rapid breathing, faced with the terrifying Tide of the Void, Green dared not linger any longer. With a spatial twist, he returned to the Wizard World beside Xiao Ba. (To be continued.
