Chapter 896 - 888: Trusted Wizard
Chapter 896: Chapter 888: Trusted Wizard
In the high sky of the Screaming Cockroach World, a blood-red full moon emanates an ominous aura, its glow undimmed even at midday under the blazing sun, slowly drifting towards another part of the world where a similarly ominous blood-red moon radiates its presence.
Even in a state of hunger and torpor, the cells of weak Screaming Cockroaches tremble from the powerful destructive aura inadvertently exuded by a formidable creature from an unknown Foreign Domain.
Rumble... Rumble...
High above, the Origin Will Space Fortress of the Wizard World emits a deep resonance of high-frequency rumblings, surrounded by three Great Witch Hunters, temporarily summoned Third-Level Medal of Honor Sorcerers, and Tegreen, temporarily deployed.
As they pass, busy Demon-Hunting Wizards respectfully make way, continuously greeting "Great Stigmata Sorcerer of the Oblivion Tower."
"Anything unusual recently?"
Green, like a lord surveying his domain, gazes down at the Space Fortress, inquiring.
In the distance, more than ten Flapwing Cockroaches, using the hazy fog for cover, draw near the Space Fortress, only to be slain by the surrounding Demon-Hunting Wizards, their bodies plummeting to the ground.
"Master, nothing else, but a few days ago, a non-mother Third-Level Screaming Cockroach appeared, catching two Demon-Hunting Wizards off guard, leading to their demise. Their bodies have been collected by the Space Fortress."
Oh?
Green showed slight interest.
"Where’s the specimen?"
Another Great Sorcerer in the form of a young girl, with butterfly-like colorful wings on her back strikingly similar in color to Green’s Seven-Colored Runes Self-sealing Technique, wore a rare round pink spectacle frame, apparently a Light Wizard.
"I personally handed it over to the Combat Command and exchanged it for numerous contribution points. Hehe, Stigmata Sorcerer of the Oblivion Tower, I inadvertently discovered something good in this world, interested?"
This Witch, taking advantage of her proximity to Green, had the audacity to propose a trade, showing considerable confidence in dealing with a Stigmata Sorcerer.
"Wagagaga, the Sword of Destruction belongs to my young master’s senior sister, one day the entire world will be my young master’s. Just contribute the information, and my young master will not let you down."
On his shoulder, Xiao Ba appeared quite eager about this so-called good thing.
Even the other two Third-Level Great Sorcerers beside them could not resist glancing at the Witch.
"I discovered this!"
A silver-gray raw ore, speckled, was quietly observed by Green’s Face of Truth, his two-colored eyes eventually expressing slight astonishment, "Mithril?"
Previously, when exploring the resource distribution of this world, not a trace of such precious resources was found.
Now discovering a Mithril mine in this world indeed adds some value to the world beyond simply nurturing slaves.
"Hmm, not bad, report the information to the Combat Command and collect two hundred points."
Green nodded, yet not with the enthusiasm the Witch perhaps expected.
For a Stigmata Sorcerer, unlike an Official Sorcerer, wealth and status are calculated on a world scale; the gain or loss of a single mine is insignificant.
...
One month later.
In the crystal ball, Green and Youquan faced each other, their Space Fortresses drawing near.
"Unexpectedly, these Screaming Cockroaches are a biological disaster overflowing from another world, and in just a few thousand years, all local creatures of this world were exterminated. Even these Screaming Cockroaches are now self-destructing! With their tenacious vitality, consuming almost anything as food, these Screaming Cockroaches are far more valuable than I imagined."
The so-called value, naturally, is the worth of the world coordinates gifted to Green.
From Green’s perspective, these Screaming Cockroaches are indeed quite superior as slaves.
"What, does senior sister regret it?"
Lightly jesting, Green made a swift gesture, revealing a Screaming Cockroach, two meters long, confined in a twisting space cage.
Unlike other Screaming Cockroaches, this one had been fed by Green and was brimming with energy, visibly advancing from an insignificant biological tier to now reaching the Level 1 Biological Tier.
Most terrifying of all, the double-jaw of this Screaming Cockroach could emit a howl capable of disrupting the mental will—an ability Green had only seen among certain sonic creatures in the Nest World’s underground nests.
This capability posed a significant threat to wizards who fought relying on mental will.
"Observe these tenacious little creatures; give them sufficient food, and they develop robust combat capabilities. Truly, an ideal weapon of war, heh heh heh heh..."
Green’s laughter sounded eerie, reminiscent of the lingering will of the ancient dark wizards.
"Alright, since the Screaming Cockroach Matriarch’s Nest has been located, resolve it early for peace of mind. I wonder, if this Cockroach Matriarch’s power is restored, will it reach the Fifth-Level Biological Hierarchy."
Youquan showed some concern, having faced a Fifth-Level Creature head-on in the Earth Vein World, giving her a direct understanding of their power.
"Hmm, if it’s the Queen’s Nest, it should retain enough resources to sustain these Screaming Cockroaches in good health. Alert the Combat Command about these howl-screaming creatures that shatter enemy will, and let Junior Wizards, especially the Body Refining Sorcerers, take heed."
Closing the crystal ball, the wills of the Stigmata Sorcerers descended from the two Space Fortresses, beginning the final preparations for war.
...
Three days later.
Out of six assessed loyal Demon-Hunting Great Sorcerers who set out, only four returned, and among them, only two successfully completed Green’s task of exploring the Screaming Cockroach Matriarch’s Nest.
"Stigmata Sorcerer of the Oblivion Tower, these are two newly appeared cockroach types from the Mother Queen’s Nest: Frenzied Roach and Suicide Roach."
This male wizard, wearing a pale mask, his eyes dark and deep, held a Second Level Honor Medal. Green sensed his formidable power. A mere opportunity might grant him the First-Level Honor Medal.
Of the two specimens the male wizard brought, the Frenzied Roach had a fiery-red body, was of a Second-Order Creature tier, and its shell was incredibly thick. Under Green’s two-colored eyes of the Face of Truth, it was estimated that the thickest part of the Frenzied Roach’s frontal shell could withstand attacks below 700 degrees.
Meanwhile, the Suicide Roach was wrapped in black silk threads, currently sealed.
"Suicide Roach! What is its attack intensity level?"
Green looked towards Night Shadow Sachi, a loyal Demon-Hunting Wizard who would accompany him in future battles. Having completed energy mass transformation yet lacking a First-Level Honor Medal, Sachi, if proved valuable, might obtain the Medal before the upcoming civilizational war.
"Ranges from 300 degrees to 3000 degrees. We encountered three in total; the first was 300 degrees, the second, 3000 degrees, and the third is in your hand."
"Heh heh..."
With a smile, Green’s annihilation force flawlessly erased the seal on the Suicide Roach he held. Once freed, the Suicide Roach immediately triggered a sudden internal reaction.
Boom!
The powerful explosion compressed within a relatively small space, Green smiled coldly, increasingly satisfied with the slave legion of this world.
"Three thousand five hundred degrees, it seems this Queen’s Nest harbors even more slave varieties!."
Turning to another Third-Level Great Sorcerer, a Witch proficient in life energy, who produced two eggs the size of goose eggs, wrapped in green leaves.
"Stigmata Sorcerer of the Oblivion Tower, these are the Queen’s Eggs—the mothers of most screeching cockroaches in the Screaming Cockroach World are born from the Queen! In other words, these two eggs have the potential to become the Mother of Cockroaches in the future."
The Witch’s eyes earnestly watched Green, unlike Night Shadow Sachi, the Vine Manacles Waldman, possessing nothing remarkably outstanding. (To be continued.
