A Sorcerer’s Journey

Chapter 977 - 969: One After Another

Chapter 977: Chapter 969: One After Another

Swish, swish, swish, swish, swish, swish, swish, swish...

The numerous plant people corps in front of the world rift looked at the terrifying monster trying to squeeze into the Parasitic Spore World. For the world they loved behind them not to be violated, for their own persistence, and for the eternal inheritance of the Parasitic Spore Will, some strong individuals recklessly rushed toward this monster to prevent it from entering this world!

Breaking through the dense protective layer of the Slave Monster Corps, some strong plant people were surrounded by more slave monsters halfway through their charge, falling from the sky, while others fortunately broke through the plant people corps, charging towards this gigantic creature that made their souls tremble incessantly without hesitation.

The merely energy materialized head that peeked in was nearly a hundred meters. The Steel Body Stigmata Sorcerer’s elemental embodiment transformed into this metal monster. If it indeed entered the Parasitic Spore World, the consequences would be disastrous.

Clang, clang, ding dong...

Though numerous, the attacks of these lower beings were negligible for the Level Five Stigmata, known for its defensive power, but still caused severe hindrance, delaying its steps, ensuring it could not swiftly invade the world’s interior.

"You are seeking your own doom."

Roaring, the Steel Body Stigmata Sorcerer endured numerous attacks from low-level plant people and even withstood attacks from two nearby World Divine Trees, inching bit by bit into the Parasitic Spore World. These low-level plant people, trapped heavily surrounded by slave monsters, were soon torn to shreds by the ferocious, savage creatures from all sides.

The metal head had some negligible dents and pits left on it.

"Evil monster, get out of the Parasitic Spore World!"

With an angry roar, the King of Fern descended from the sky with the destructive power of a Level Six Creature, as the Steel Body Stigmata Sorcerer, with a third of its body already squeezed in, raised its head and unleashed an energy beam with an attack power of hundreds of thousands of degrees.

Rumble, rumble!

The energy explosion wave and metal collision sound echoed, shattering and vanishing thousands of monster troops and a few plant people who couldn’t evade in time.

For lower beings, the wars between high-order beings are akin to an apocalypse.

"Hmph! I am not a Fourth-Level Wizard!"

With only a small part of the twisted metal head struggling to remain in the Parasitic Spore World, the Steel Body Stigmata Sorcerer stood firm, roaring. Bearing a direct attack from a Level Six Creature from the world rift was no easy feat, even for him, known for his defensive power.

Fortunately, the world rift was spacious enough, and the Steel Body need not expend extra energy to hold open the rift, leaving residual strength even after a blow from the King of Fern.

"The monsters squeezing in are indeed getting stronger."

The Sycamore Guardian wrapped in countless leaves around the Sporefern Legacy Statue, the doppelganger left by the former King Ferns, contained a lingering breath of Dominator’s Power within. Even if now the Sycamore Guardian could only exert a tenth or so of its power, it was definitely not something the Lord of the World level creatures could easily contend with.

The Sporefern Legacy Statue pointed a withered branch hand towards the Steel Body Stigmata Sorcerer, releasing the source power of the Parasitic Spore that almost ignited the water element in the air, engulfing the metal head protruding from the world rift.

Whoosh...

The green flames of life burned fiercely.

The metal head, unable to withstand the attack, retreated completely into the depths of the dark rift, yet a metal hand remained exposed, grabbing towards the Parasitic Spore World, unwilling to retreat.

Swish!

A life-binding vine shot through the air, precisely piercing the center of this metal hand. A heart-wrenching cry resonated from within the dark rift as the metal arm quickly retracted.

"Hmph."

The Viscount King, a Level Five Creature, snorted coldly, a hint of smugness on its face as its life-binding vine slowly retracted.

"Watch out!"

The alarmed voice beside him left the Viscount King stunned. Before he could react further, he saw a Death Scythe, burning with dark green soul flames, sever the vine he hadn’t fully retracted. An excruciating pain shot through him.

"Hehehehehehe..."

Far more agile than the Steel Body Stigmata Sorcerer, the Skeletal Bell Tower Stigmata Wizard lunged forward, the upper half of its giant skeleton squeezing into the Parasitic Spore World with agility beyond imagination, as if about to slip entirely into the world interior, making the World Divine Trees break out in cold sweat, nearly too late to stop.

Clatter, clatter!

Suddenly, from the vibrant green Sea of Life in Fern Overlord City, a tea-green seaweed whipped up a monstrous wave, with a hundred-meter-diameter column of water soaring into the sky, mixed with some high-order energy rushing upwards, halting the bone giant, who had mostly charged in. Forced, it swung out the Death Scythe.

"Damn!"

A severed life-binding vine nearly permanently diminished the source power of the Viscount King.

All this happened because of his momentary carelessness, truly a cause for regret and heartache.

Turning around, his eleven life-binding vines launched a full force attack, nearly risking life for life. The enraged Viscount King’s presence made the Skeletal Bell Tower Stigmata Wizard glance in its direction, its skeletal eye sockets quietly burning with two flames of soul.

"Quickly, stop it!"

A World Guardian covered in bristling fur quills, like a peculiar scarecrow, gathered green fluffs flying throughout the sky, entwining like serpents around the Skeletal Bell Tower Stigmata Wizard.

Another master of the Parasitic Spore World, leading followers, the King of Fern, launched a high-purity corn energy explosive device.

"Heh, quite a gathering indeed..."

With a grim mumble, the Skeletal Bell Tower Stigmata Wizard opened its skull jaw, releasing a black skeleton bat that flapped its wings to retaliate forward while retreating nimbly back into the world rift.

Thud, thud, thud, thud, thud...

Boom, boom, boom, boom, boom...

As numerous attacks missed, causing energy fluctuations, the sparse Slave Monster Corps, previously flowing out of the world rift due to the surge of Stigmata Sorcerers, were now completely blocked.

For a moment, the previously emerged Slave Monster Corps could only crowd within the relatively narrow space at the rift’s exit, unable to spread out.

The energy fluctuations gradually subsided.

Looking into the world rift again, at its center, nearly three hundred meters in, a Black Flame Giant burned fiercely.

The relentless invasions left one overwhelmed.

Because the Black Flame Giant was much weaker compared to the previous two monsters, it could stand upright at the rift’s center; a rift of this scale could support the unimpeded entry and exit of Level Four Creatures.

"Hmm!?"

The Parasitic Spore World wouldn’t be careless with any creatures emerging over there.

Though puzzled why a relatively ordinary monster appeared after two consecutive Level Five Creatures, the King of Ferns did not hesitate to act. A vine infused with the power of a Level Six Creature lashed down, stirring the air into a turbulent unrest.

Under the Green Truth Mask, Green’s dual-colored pupils glanced at the formidable attack he could hardly withstand.

Though unable to accurately gauge, he was sure its attack power exceeded two hundred thousand degrees, a truly devastating force from Green’s perspective as a Fourth-Level Stigmata.

"Hmph..."

With a light chuckle, Green didn’t seem worried at all.

The extreme abyss magic staff and "Book of Truth" were long gone. Green’s black flame hands clapped fiercely, and the rules of the World’s Veil within him shot out in all directions.

In the nick of time, as the King of Fern’s mighty attack was about to land, a giant hand generated from countless howling skull head phantoms and panic emotions suddenly and quietly emerged from the depths of the dark rift, grabbing the overwhelming vine with a crisp slap!

"Hehheh, the passage width is sufficient now."

A black-red cloud of terror spewed from the black rift, the ominous aura boiling, filling the vision with death. (To be continued. If you like this work, feel free to vote for it on Qidian (), with your support being my greatest motivation. Mobile users, please visit m. for reading.)
