Chapter 1370: The Fetus Descends

When the humongous eye turned toward him, Li Jingzhe, who was standing atop the Heavenly Dragon Pavilion, felt as though the entire world had gone silent.

The apocalyptic rain that caused even the void to shake had subsided and the dense corruption that lay outside the city seemed to have turned gentle.

The countless Others that emerged from the corruption began to prostrate themselves on the ground, giving off a pious attitude.

The numerous experts in the city were shocked by this development. They felt a sense of unease as this scene was simply too abnormal.

Li Jingzhe's wizened face turned solemn. He could sense that a terrifying aura was condensing.

When he raised his head and looked towards the gap in the World's End River where the three-pupil eye was, he could sense its gaze penetrating through the void and locking onto him.

It contained power that even the Quasi-Triple Crown Li Jingzhe felt pressured by. This was something he had not experienced in years.

So long as the Heavenly Emperors did not make a move, there were few in the Heavenly Origin Divine Continent that could incite such a feeling within him. "Tri-Pupil Enigmatic Fetus Grand Devil King," Li Jingzhe softly murmured to himself. It was a Heavenly Emperor-level existence, and it was a true peak existence even amongst the Others in the Shadow World.

Thus, its mere gaze brought about an incredible sense of oppression and terror.

Meanwhile, this particular Grand Devil King was focused right on him.

Li Jingzhe didn't mind it. He was the strongest being in the World's End River Region, and if it wanted to successfully descend, he would be its largest stumbling block. Thus, it would have to take action against him.

The only bright side was that if the opponent managed to project its strength here, it would not be complete, and that meant that it wouldn't be unstoppable.

As Li Jingzhe's mind pondered over the possibilities, a sound resembling a massive bell chiming echoed throughout the entire region. No defensive ward was able to stop it.

This sound seemed capable of enlightening people and allowing their spirits to awaken.

Everyone was absolutely drunk over this sensation.

However, Li Jingzhe's expression turned cold. After all, the sound that was seemingly capable of cleansing the spirit had originated from that terrifying eye that hung in the skies. At the same time, one of the pupils had transformed into a wisp of gray light that broke off from the eye itself. The gray light descended towards the World's End River Region, penetrating through the layers of the void. It continuously weakened, and by the time it reached the World's End River Region, its size had been reduced by more than half.

The numerous high-grade Dukes were completely unable to even see the gray light. Only Li Jingzhe and the other Kings were capable of sensing it.

Within the gray light was a gray fetus that was curled up into a ball. Countless strange runes were engraved on its tender skin, making it look capable of resonating with the heavens and the earth.

Li Jingzhe’s expression turned grave when he saw it.

One of the things he knew about this enemy was that the Tri-Pupil Enigmatic Fetus Grand Devil King had three fetuses within its eye. One was a human, another was a beast, and the last was a devil. The three fetuses had different abilities, and the current one seemed to be the human one. There even seemed to be traces of resonant power coming from it.

The three fetuses were each at the Triple Crowned King Stage. Only when all three were combined would it reach the Heavenly Emperor Stage. It was clear that the Tri-Pupil Enigmatic Fetus was borrowing the aid of the power within the Treasure Domain to allow its human fetus to descend and open a path for it. The good news was that piercing through the void caused the human fetus to lose some of its power. Li Jingzhe could sense that it had been weakened to the Quasi-Triple Crown Stage. As time passed by, its strength would likely recover to its peak, especially if the luring platform within the Treasure Domain was complete. At that point, Li Jingzhe would no longer be its opponent.

"As expected of a Heavenly Emperor existence. Just a single fetus is capable of causing unrest within me," Li Jingzhe said to himself. As he spoke, the gray fetus arrived above Heavenly Dragon Peak. The fetus then opened its eyes, revealing ashy gray eyes that gave off an ominous sensation.

“Wah! Wah!”

The fetus then began to bawl as loudly as it could. As its cries rang out, all the worldly natural energy within the World's End River Region was violently agitated. It then transformed into innumerable torrents of light which were then swallowed into the mouth of the fetus.

After which, it began to shake its immature body and stretched its feet. The gray fetus then began to step forward, its body starting to swell. Ten steps later, the fetus transformed into a gray-robed man who silently stood in the sky above Heavenly Dragon City. The man's eyes were dark gray and his appearance was average. He had a slight smirk on his face as he stood in the void with majestic amounts of vitality radiating from his body. If everyone had not personally seen the human fetus transform into its current shape, they would have assumed the man was a King from the human race.

The gray-robed man completely ignored Heavenly Dragon City's countless terrified gazes. His focus was on Li Jingzhe.

"Li Jingzhe, do you plan to stop me from descending?" it asked.

Although this was the first time it had even set his eyes on the old man, it was able to glean information about him from the frightened emotions of the crowd. The gray-robed man smiled. "Actually, our strength is relatively comparable right now. This is your last chance to leave the World's End River Region. Otherwise, if things drag on... then your Quasi-Triple Crown bones will be buried here."

Li Jingzhe remained silent. Worldly natural energy surged around him, looking as though a massive energy tide was forming in the world. Three crowns appeared above him, each giving off a pristine aura. Each wisp of pure energy contained energy fluctuations that would shock even a ninth-grade Duke.

However, the third crown was relatively illusory when compared to the other two. Li Jingzhe stretched out his right hand, and an ordinary-looking bamboo pole appeared in his grasp. As the bamboo pole gently swayed, the void seemed to be screaming due to it bearing an immense pressure. This was the Kingslayer Staff! At the same time, he stretched out his left hand, and a crimson veil appeared. Within it were nine coiled flaming dragons. This was the Nine Dragon Fire Sword Veil. Clearly, even someone as strong as him didn't dare to underestimate the Tri-Pupil Enigmatic Fetus. He had directly pulled out his two strongest venerated heirlooms.[1]

Li Jingzhe took a step forward and appeared in the void above Heavenly Dragon City. This sort of battle was something that even the Golden Dragonscale Cloud Formation was unable to effectively influence.

The old man stood outside the city with a bamboo pole in one hand and a veil in the other. He calmly observed the gray-robed man as his indifferent voice rang out.

"Greetings, Grand Devil King. I am the Dragon's Fang Lineage’s Lineage Chief, Li Jingzhe. I have no ambition to protect all of the hundreds of millions of living beings that occupy this world. I only wish to make sure that the children in my family remain safe and sound. This is why even though you are a Heavenly Emperor... I... will fight you to the very end."
