Chapter 1688: Ten Devil Kings of Sin

Qi Huang shouldered a heavy responsibility, having to watch over the peak Triple Crowned Devil Kings of the Shadow World. Despite that, he had opted to come here and save them. This was something Li Luo truly appreciated and was thankful for.

"Keeping an eye on the Origin Reversion Institute has always been the responsibility of the Divine Continent Federation. The Torch Dragon Underworld King having escaped our supervision to run to the East Divine Continent has brought you trouble and was our mistake," Qi Huang responded. "When Federation Head Tantai left, she also asked us to take good care of the two of you."

The Divine Continent Federation was a collective of the Heavenly Emperor powers within the divine continents. Although its main function was to coordinate between the numerous parties and had a relatively loose system, it played an important role when it came to critical battles against the Shadow World and the Origin Reversion Institute.

The position of the Federation Head would rotate between the peak experts who were trusted by all parties. In the past, after Tantai Lan had reached the Ninth Transcendent Duke Stage, she had shaken the world and served as the Federation Head for a while. Now that she had left the divine continents, the role had been passed onto Radiant King Qi Huang.

When Qi Huang spoke of Tantai Lan, his words were filled with admiration. "Federation Head Tantai possesses great potential. She is probably the first individual in the last thousand years to have reached the ninth-grade. This is an achievement that we truly envy and respect."

At this point Li Luo couldn't help but sigh in his heart. "Mother sure is relentless."

Tantai Lan had surpassed Radiant King Qi Huang and the Torch Dragon Underworld King, the most powerful of Kings, demonstrating just how frightening her foundation was. Li Luo estimated that it would take him years of tempering and consolidation to make his next breakthrough. Unless, of course, he was able to make up for his one flaw.

The single "flaw" that was holding him back was the middle ninth-grade resonance he possessed, the woodearth resonance. If it could reach the upper ninth-grade, he would have five upper ninth-grade resonances, and the ninth-grade would be within reach. However, how could he upgrade it? Could he luck upon another Divine Fruit crystal resonance? Or a Divine Fruit windflame resonance? Those were the legacy objects of a Divine Fruit Heavenly Emperor, the most supreme of treasures. How could he obtain something like that so casually?

Li Luo changed the topic and asked. "Oh yes, Federation Head Qi Huang, what did the Torch Dragon Underworld King mean when he said that the Shadow World is gearing up for a massive assault?" Qi Huang's expression gradually turned serious.

All of them are at the peak of the Triple Crowned Devil King Stage and have potential to become Grand Devil Kings. The Saturnine Hydra Devil King was one such individual. Fortunately, he fell victim to the plot of a few Devil Kings and was then slain by you."

Li Luo's brows furrowed. Although the Saturnine Hydra Devil King had met a tragic end, at his peak he was probably an exceptional enemy that even Qi Huang had to treat seriously. And ten other opponents of comparable power were on their way? This was terrifying to behold. If the Ten Devil Kings of Sin were to descend, the divine continents would be under great pressure.

Li Luo and Jiang Qing'e curiously asked, "What would that be?"

This results in the worldly natural energy being shaken. As a consequence, many ancient seals throughout the world will loosen, revealing their presence to the world. That includes the seals keeping the Divine Fruit resonances of the Legendary Sect Master hidden."

Li Lu's heart shook upon hearing those words. Two dual resonances of the Legendary Sect Master had yet to be revealed to the world, the withering glory resonance and the spatial fog resonance! Was it finally time for them to be unveiled? That said, the Shadow World was not planning to sit idly and watch this time—they planned to seize it for themselves.
