As murmurs traversed the square, Li Luo glanced at Chi Li briefly before turning his attention towards the crimson and violet-robed Hall Master Zhu Ze with a smile. "Your Excellency, are you a Hall Master of the Imperial Beast Hall?"

Zhu Ze's expression remained serious and his hands remained clasped while he responded, "My name is Zhu Ze. I am the humble Hall Master of the Vermillion Bird Hall of the Imperial Beast Hall."

Even without considering Li Luo's background, the youth standing before Zhu Ze was powerful enough to confront three Triple Crowned Devil Kings. His Dual Crowned King strength was nothing before him, despite the difference in age.

Li Luo nodded nonchalantly. "The reason I came all the way to the Chi family was to resolve some grudges. I believe you heard me say that Chi Li will not become the Patriarch today."

Those words brought a frown to Zhu Ze's face. No one had expected that this ceremony would be interrupted, and by someone like Li Luo, no less! The two parties were located countless miles away from each other and had no connection whatsoever.

Zhu Ze turned his attention to the graceful figure beside Li Luo, and a smile appeared on his face. "Does this maiden have a grudge against Chi Li? If Chi Li has done something to offend her, I'm willing to sincerely apologize on his behalf."

Chi Li's expression changed as he said in a low voice, "Hall Master Zhu Ze, she is from the branch family. She was betrothed to me many years ago, but she ran away."

Zhu Ze's eyes narrowed. He could sense that a huge headache was brewing. He was well aware of the grievances and conflicts that existed between the main and branch families. After all, the main family treated the side branch as slaves and had constantly exploited them. Although they were of the same blood, the branch family treated the main family as mortal enemies. If this lady had escaped from Chi Li's engagement, it was certain that he had exacted his revenge on her family members, considering his venomous personality. This sort of enmity wouldn't be resolved with just a few simple sentences.

Li Luo wasn't interested in arguing, so he indifferently said, "Let's not waste time. No matter what happens today, Chi Li will not be allowed to become the new Patriarch of the Chi family. The position must be given up."

Those words were spoken calmly, but they possessed an incredibly domineering meaning. Chi Li's gaze turned furious. He had never thought that Li Luo would act so tyrannically, making him give up his position with a few simple words. However, considering Li Luo's terrifying power and background, Chi Li didn't dare to retort. He could only shoot a pleading look towards Hall Master Zhu Ze.

Hall Master Zhu Ze helplessly sighed. "Federation Chief Li Luo, this is the Mythical Spirit Divine Continent. Please give the Imperial Beast Hall a little bit of face."

Before he could speak further, however, Li Luo's gaze, which was as deep as a bottomless pit, focused on him. Zhu Ze felt a frightening pressure envelop him, as though the space around him had solidified. His expression changed, and his two crowns materialized above him. Vast amounts of source origin flowed out of his body, wrapping around him and resisting the oppressive pressure. The pressure that Li Luo exuded was even greater than that of Supreme Hall Master Lin Miao. The peak of the Eighth Transcendent Duke Stage was truly fearsome.

"Your Excellency, who do you plan to pass the position of leader to?" Zhu Ze asked.

"Her," Li Luo responded as he looked at Chi Chan.

An uproar erupted across the square. Countless curious gazes were now directed at Chi Chan's lithe figure. No one had expected that Li Luo, a dragon who waded in the figurative seas of the East Divine Continent, would travel all the way to the Mythical Spirit Divine Continent for the sake of competing for the position of the Family Head. Just what sort of relationship did they have?

The members of the branch family were wide-eyed and dumbfounded, especially Chi Chan's parents. They glanced at each other with a complicated expression. Their little daughter had left for so many years and now that she had returned, she possessed such overwhelming backing?

"Chief of the Eastern Region Federation, peak eighth-grade Transcendent, Ten Resonances King Li Luo..." Chi Song, the leader of the branch family, fell silent for a few moments. He then coughed dryly. "I see that Chan'er has high standards. It's no wonder she always looked down on the likes of Chi Li."

Zhu Ze forced a smile as he said to the silent Chi Chan, "This matter might require the old Patriarch's approval. After all, he is still in charge."

Chi Li hurriedly nodded in agreement, his attention turning towards the elevated seat where the dying Chi Wenwu sat.

"Patriarch, I've done everything for the Chi family!" exclaimed Chi Li.

Everyone's attention turned to Chi Wenwu, who had a complicated expression on his face. He had never expected that a girl from the branch family who had run away would return in such a dramatic fashion with such an overbearing backer after tens of years. Even the usually arrogant Hall Master was showing obvious fear.

Chi Wenwu looked at Li Luo and Chi Chan with a dark gaze as he asked, "Your Excellency Li Luo, is Chi Chan your woman?"

Li Luo's eyes narrowed as he glanced at Chi Chan momentarily. The latter's face was covered by gauze, and although he couldn't see her expression, her fair, white ears had turned red all of a sudden as embarrassment and anger appeared in her eyes. They had never expected Chi Wenwu to speak so directly.

Li Luo dryly coughed. "Chi Chan is my mentor. When I was weak and defenseless in my adolescence, she protected me and stopped some of my powerful enemies. I owe her a favor that is deeper than the deepest seas."

Chi Wenwu frowned, a little bit of disappointment welling up within him. He then sighed. "Your Excellency Li Luo, based on the Chi family's rules, the new leader must be the strongest expert within the family. Chi Chan is only a ninth-grade Pinnacle Duke and cannot compare with Chi Li. If she were to become the Matriarch, it would be difficult for her to control the family."

A look of joy appeared in Chi Li's eyes upon hearing this. Zhu Ze also secretly heaved a sigh of relief. Although Chi Wenwu knew that Chi Li would lead the family to ruin, Chi Chan wasn't strong enough to overcome him. Therefore, she would be unable to lead the Chi family to new heights.

Li Luo remained expressionless as he stretched his hand out and pushed it in the direction of Chi Li. Worldly natural energy rumbled, and a palm manifested over him from the heavens, blocking off Chi Li's vision.

"Li Luo! You!" Chi Li was taken aback, having never expected Li Luo to directly make a move. He let out a loud roar as he released all of the resonant power in his body, summoning his one and only crown.

However, a golden wheel of light descended from Li Luo's incoming palm. To Chi Li's utter shock and horror, Li Luo's golden wheel of light swallowed the crown he had spent immeasurable amounts of resources to forge. After which, the wheel floated down with the crown, forming a golden mark on Chi Li's forehead. He immediately spat out a mouthful of fresh blood. Chi Li's aura swiftly weakened to the Ninth Duke Stage.

"Did you just... seal my crown?!" Chi Li's expression was feral, and he almost went insane at this point.

Li Luo couldn't be bothered to respond; he merely nonchalantly retracted his hand. His original intention was to speak nicely with these people, but they seemed to think that they were qualified to negotiate with him. Family rules? Were they harder than his fist?

Li Luo raised his head and asked the stunned Chi Wenwu, "Is there another Single Crowned King in the Chi family?"
