Chapter 926: The Devil of Dreams (III)
Chapter 926: The Devil of Dreams (III)
"Dream Expansion: Dance of Dream and Reality,"
A silent golden ripple phased through the world, appearing before Ryuk before he could blink.
It phased through him, continuing into the distance until it was all over the skyscraper world.
Ryuk immediately noticed the cracks he had made on the dreamscape rapidly healing back as if it had just been massively boosted, negating all the unfurling he had been doing since the beginning.
He turned back to Aizelren, who had raised one of his hands, his fingers clenched slightly in the motion of a pre-flick.
"You might not know, but..."
FLICK!
He flicked at Ryuk, whose eyes widened when he felt the force.
"Within this realm, I am God."
He claimed that what followed next was a powerful explosion, as a line of about a hundred skyscrapers was blown to golden ashes.
Ryuk was roughly flung through each of them, with insane speed, slamming into the ground and carving open an abyss of golden ash.
The only one who stood in the sky was Aizelren, never once having moved from his initial position.
One of his six arms moved, reaching to the side, and a golden prism consisting of interlocking golden layers rapidly bloomed from the end of his fingers, recreating itself again and again until a full golden barrier with countless layers surrounded Aizelren.
GLITCH!
The sound of space droning rang out from a sudden unleashed force, and out from its depths came a jade blue claw that smashed against the golden barrier.
CRAAAACK!
BAAAAAANG!
The sound of a barrier layer shattering into pieces rang out, and Ryuk’s claw continued, tearing about fifty barriers in a single swipe before the motion exhausted itself.
His brows furrowed as he looked to see a hundred more barriers already conjured in the span of a millisecond, and quickly, Ryuk himself became divided into five.
BAAAANG!
BAAAAAANG!
BAAAAAAAANG!
For the next five seconds, there was an endless barrage of claw attacks against Aizelren as Ryuk destroyed countless barriers within mere moments, yet Aizelren remained unmoving.
He simply conjured the barriers faster and faster, matching the speed of Ryuk’s destruction of them.
"It’s useless,"
Aizelren claimed as Ryuk smashed through barriers so fast that it left just one in the end before he could reach Aizelren.
His claws reached for the last,
BOOOOOOM!
BOOOOOOOM!
BOOOOOOOM!
BOOOOOOOOM!
A punch slammed into the faces of the five Ryuks all at once, forcing them to take three steps backward, but at the same time,
SHATTTERR!
The final golden barrier that protected Aizelren was smashed into pieces, leaving him open.
The space exploded beneath the feet of the Ryuks, who rushed forward toward Aizelren, surrounding him from all sides.
Claws slashed out instantly, yet they were all matched by Aizelren’s six arms.
Arms and claws flew with terrifying speed.
BOOOOOOM!
Another punch slammed into one of Ryuk’s faces, sending him flying, only for him to rejoin the fight again.
But three seconds after, and another Ryuk was sent flying once more, and then another, and then another, until three had holes blasted through their head, leaving just two Ryuk left,
"You cannot defeat me,"
Aizelren claimed as Ryuk kicked forth toward his head.
Dozens of triangular prisms appeared on the path of his legs, but this time, they didn’t act as shields; instead, with a force, one familiar:
Aizelren began getting smaller.
He was being pushed back again.
Exploding forth with Aetheris, he shattered the force, coming to stand exactly three kilometers away.
VROOOOM!
The air flapped as Ryuk’s hands reached, grabbing the shoulder of the last Ryuk who had a circular hole blown through his face, and soon turned into motes of light in his grasp.
He stared silently at Aizelren, who remained floating in the space surrounded by his six arms.
"How troublesome,’’ Ryuk mused to himself.
Ability to reverse distance, create an unending amount of shields within the span of seconds, possess enough physical power that is a level greater than even his, and also see attacks before they could even be delivered.
The Sixth calamity was a troublesome opponent to deal with.
If Ryuk had fought him back in the Knullic domain without having fused with his new body parts, he doubted he would have been able to win against this quiet monster.
"I can beat him,"
The words suddenly resounded just as Ryuk prepared to move, only to halt in shock.
"Isha!?"
He asked, hearing the voice in his mind.
Normally, Isha and Void were in the Meturasa Garden, and unlike the pet space, it doesn’t allow for them to witness his actions from in there, meaning they should be unaware he was currently in a fight.
"Yet..."
"Let me out. I will defeat him."
Isha said from within his mind, as Ryuk paused for a moment, his brows creased, but only for a while.
In the next moment, a rift appeared, and from within, snow-white feet came, followed by a figure of white, a truly contrasting color compared to Aizelren.
It was Isha, but Ryuk couldn’t help but notice her long ice-grown dress had changed into something shorter and closer to her figure.
Isha didn’t converse; instead, silently stepping forth toward the calmity who had one of his fingers silently flick.
All of a sudden, Isha’s hands reached to the side, and Ryuk watched as sudden frozen runes appeared in the air.
’Where does this come from?’ He mused confusedly.
KAAAAAAABOOOOOOOM!
A terrifying explosion made him turn his head forward, and all he found was skyscrapers being blown to golden ashes while Isha remained standing, her hands outstretched in a palm strike.
She took a single step forward, and an intense tempest erupted through the world.
It formed a cyclone of ice that reached into the farthest depths of space above and beneath the ground.
It coalesced together to form a massive tsunami that raged through the dreamscape, sucking away the skyscrapers and crushing them into bits.
For the first time, Aizelren had been forced away from his position, and for the first time, he also decided to be the first to attack.
Rushing out from the golden ashes he had been blown into, he disappeared into the colossal ice tsunami that
When he stepped in, he found her, Isha, covered in frost flake runes that glowed both within and outside her humanoid form.
A horn had grown from her forehead, its tip glowing with freezing silvery white light.
"An Ice Dragon?"
