Chapter 946: The Truth of the Knull-Dragon War (I)
Chapter 946: The Truth of the Knull-Dragon War (I)
He was the one influencing Knull, trying to have him use his help.
But that was something Ryuk would never do.
"I know you can hear me, Knull."
"I want to know everything about the Knull-Dragon War!" he shouted, as Theth’Vorgath paused his grin, his brows furrowing as he turned to Knull.
"Knull-Dragon?" he asked, and Knull cackled evilly.
"Knull-Dragon War is a ridiculous name! Where’d you even get that from!?"
Knull asked with a loud harrumph, turning to Ryuk, who furrowed his eyebrows.
Knull-Dragon was a name he had coined by himself.
"Stop messing around, Knulls."
"The Knulls fought the dragons, and they all suddenly disappeared. What happened to them?"
"Hmph, why should I even bother telling you? Go to hell!" Knull roared back, but his eyes widened in the next moment, bulging as the chains of red blood tightened over him, squeezing tightly.
In the next moment, he was forcefully raised upright from the blood sea, his eyes coming to stand before Theth’Vorgath.
"Tell me what happened after your little trick, Knull," he called out to him.
"My little trick kept you in imprisonment for a century, so maybe it isn’t that little," Knull hmphed, but then Theth’Vorgath’s hands reached to the side as the sea began to tumble and coil.
A thick killing intent surged through the world as Ryuk watched the entire realm suddenly turn crimson.
Space broke apart, and blood came pouring down, and even the sky itself began raining blood.
"Fine. Fine. If you want sad news, I’ll give it to you."
Knull said as Theth’Vorgath returned his hand, everything fading off as if it was all only an illusion.
"After you were locked up," Knull said, turning to Theth’Vorgath.
"The Daughter of Vel’Zhyraka gathered the draconic army to fight upon hearing the news of your imprisonment."
"She did?"
Knull said, as Theth’Vorgath’s serpentine eyes turned circular once more.
It occurred to Ryuk that not even Theth’Vorgath was aware of the Dragon-Knull War, but that made sense.
Theth’Vorgath had already been imprisoned before that time and had no idea what happened afterward.
"What happened to the dragons?" Ryuk asked from below, as Knull rolled his head.
"Isn’t that obvious?"
He paused, a groan finally leaving his lips as the chains tightened upon his hulking frame.
He turned his eyes, finding Theth’Vorgath’s serpentine gaze looking at him.
"Where is she, Knull?"
"Hey, Theth’Vorgath," Knull called out with a smirk on his lips, even as dark blood ran down from the thick chains binding him.
"Do you remember Halowyrita?"
The question made Theth’Vorgath pause.
"Halowyrita?" Ryuk mused.
He had no recollection of that name whatsoever.
"Let me give you a quick rundown of your father, Ryuk," Theth’Vorgath said, turning to Ryuk, but the chains tightened around him again
"Really, Theth’Vorgath? You want to start keeping secrets from him, too?"
"Secrets were the reason why we both fell out, remember?"
"Your relationship with your son is already as bad as it can be."
"You sure you want to add more to it?"
Knull said, flashing a vile grin at Theth’Vorgath, who paused, his narrowed eyes turning to look at Ryuk, who was currently staring at him in confusion and caution.
GROOOWWWL
A silent growl left Theth’Vorgath’s lips as the chains binding Knull slightly released.
"Kekeke. I thought so."
"See, Ryuk, Theth’Vorgath was a celebrity back in his heyday," Knull began, but he was cut off.
"I don’t care if he was a celebrity. Where are the dragons?"
"Tsk, kids, and impatience."
"You want to hear the Knull-Dragon War story or not!?" he shot back in anger, and Ryuk paused for a while before keeping quiet..
"Kekeke. I thought so," Knull replied triumphantly.
"As I was saying, Theth’Vorgath was quite a celebrity in his past, unlike your nameless self, with so much power yet zero recognition."
He poked as Ryuk’s eyes dimmed.
"Theth’Vorgath was excellent in both power and fame."
"To everyone else but us Knulls, his name was terror."
"Theth’Vorgath coming to a world meant the doom of that world, and he sent even the mightiest warriors running away from that world."
"But while his name was terror upon this world of ours, to the three supreme races who view us all as ants, Theth’Vorgath was an interesting ant,"
"And like anyone with fame, he had a few admirers from among the beauties of the supreme races."
"I bet your nameless self doesn’t have one, though," he added, giving a side-eye to Ryuk, who had finally had enough.
"Are you telling a story or poking at me?"
"Kekeke. Jealous."
"Of all the ladies of the supreme race that are in love with Theth’Vorgath, there’s one who is the most crazy about him."
"Her name is Halowyrita."
"And she’s not just any admirer."
"She is the only and spoiled princess of the mighty Halowyrms!" Knull declared grandly, as Ryuk’s eyebrows creased in confusion before they widened in disbelief.
There were three supreme races, and one of them was the Halowyrms.
The princess of the Halowyrm race!?
"Crazy, isn’t it?" Theth’Vorgath said, noticing his shock.
"And how’s that got to do with where the dragons are, though?"
He asked, quelling down his shock.
"One thing about Theth’Vorgath is, he doesn’t really have that much in terms of emotions, especially the emotion of love."
"He’s lacking that one specifically."
"Many women had tried to propose to him, but he didn’t even look their way. "
"That had created some sort of competition amongst his admirers."
"Just who could tame the untamable Knull of Carnage, make him grovel beneath their feet, eyes coloured in pure obsession."
"Tsk, tsk, tsk, females and their foolish fantasies," Knull cursed.
"Halowyrita, being the spoiled princess that she is, thought to herself that she would be the one to tame the so-called Knull of Carnage, but, just like any other girl, Theth’Vorgath didn’t look her way."
"She wasn’t actually that annoyed by it at first. The type to be fine with things so far, nobody changed it."
"But then, she heard the news:
"News of Theth’Vorgath having fallen for the Daughter of Vel’Zhyraka and even having a child with her!"
"That set Halowyrita aflame."
"So she got jealous, wow? I’m impressed," Ryuk said boredly, but Knull continued.
"She wasn’t just jealous."
"You might not know, but the Halowyrms and the dragons are very similar."
"The dragons are like lesser versions of them, and Halowyrita could not imagine that a lower race than her would be able to conquer the one she could not manage to do."
"What should have been simple jealousy led to unbridled rage."
"And that rage of hers not only started the ’Knull-Dragon War,’ but also turned your life upside down, Ryuk.
