Chapter 1637  Getting The Treasure

"Think about it. You're just going to take it from me and give it to them?!" The man asked with a cold expression. Old Light didn't respond, he paused and looked behind them. He could sense the aura of the two Eighth stage Sovereigns getting closer, and behind them, there were multiple auras approaching. A smile formed on his face. "It's not that I don't want to share it, it's just not with you." The face of the Sixth stage Sovereign changed. From the looks of things, Old Light and the two Eighth stage Sovereigns had already planned on sharing the treasure, and it looks like Old Light is very confident in their deal. "With just us two, we'll have a bigger benefit. Why do you want to take the short end of the stick when you can have an equally long one?" The man didn't believe he couldn't convince Old Light. A wicked smile appeared on Old Light's face as he said, "With our speed, of course we can escape from them. But why will I share it equally with you?"

"Sixty forty." The man said without hesitation. He didn't even need to think about it. As long as he could get a share from it, he was satisfied. He didn't want these guys to catch up to them. From what he knew about the lady among the duo in the Eighth stage, unless he leaves the treasure behind now and escapes, she was definitely going to kill him.

"Seventy thirty." Old Light said slowly.

"You…." The face of the man changed, but he calmed down and nodded, "Fine, let's go." "Hand it over." Old Light commanded. "Not here. I'm not as strong as you are Old Light, I can't beat you, nor am I faster than you are. You'll get it when we are safe." The man could agree to giving Old Light seventy percent, but he wasn't that dumb that he'd hand over the item to him now, when they were still in such a position. "Light! Keep him there!"

A powerful roar came from behind them. "They already know we're here together, either we leave now, or you share it with them." The man said with a cold expression. "Hand it over, you don't have a choice here." Old Light said. 'Come on, give it to me now!' Old Light was roaring in his heart. He didn't have the thought of sharing it with any of them. He wanted to take it and escape. Among everyone present, he was basically the fastest, as long as he wasn't stopped, he could escape. Even if it's just a second, he could escape. However, it all depends on if this guy was going to hand it to him. The man had a cold expression on his face, he had paid so much for this, and now he was caught in a dilemma. Hand it over to Old Light who was stronger and probably get a share from it, or pass it on to the Eighth stage Sovereigns and probably lose his life as well. His eyes darted between Old Light and those approaching. "Heh! Old Light, do you take me for a fool? I should hand it over to you so you can escape with it and leave me stranded?!" The man was vexed, but there was no way he would allow Old Light take the treasure for himself. He was a cunning person as well, if he were in Old Light's position, he would want to take the item and then escape before the others came close. He waited, and just when the two Eighth stage Sovereigns were close, he gathered all the energy in his right hand, and the item appeared, and with a powerful force, he threw the treasure in the direction the two Eighth stage Sovereigns were coming from while he ran in the other direction. Old Light instinctively chased after the treasure. He didn't care about the man, as long as he could get to the treasure before the two Eighth stage Sovereigns, he might still be able to escape. Old Light tore through the sky covered in light, shooting straight for the treasure. The two Eighth stage Sovereigns overheard what the man said and knew there was a probability that what he said was true. Knowing Old Light, they knew that he could indeed think of something like this. "Old Light if you dare?!"

The man roared angrily as they went towards the treasure. "I'm just trying to make sure it's the right one." Old Light yelled back. Just when he was about to get it, a figure stepped out of the void. The figure looked so familiar, and in front of him, the figure grabbed the item with a smile on his face and a mocking laughter. "Haha, your stupid greed made everything easier." Grey laughed as he kept the item. Old Light attacked, but Grey was able to block it with ease. After blocking it, his figure entered the void once again. "Ahh!!"

Old Light screamed at the top of his lungs. He couldn't believe the treasure that within his grasp disappeared right in front of him. What was worse was that if he dared to rush to the Capital, he might get executed by the Royal Family. "Old Light! Where's the treasure?" The lady among the duo in the Eighth stage asked with a cold expression. "Are you blind? Didn't you see the kid take it?!" Old Light was pissed off, he didn't have the time to show any form of courtesy to these two at the moment. He just missed the chance to become a top powerhouse in a short period. Not just that, but he knew that the duo saw what happened, they were just asking so they could attack him. He didn't have the time for that. After asking this question, Old Light, like a ball of light, rushed towards the island. He might not be well versed in the space element, but he could sense that at the end of the spatial tunnel which Grey used, he was headed towards the island. The duo exchanged glances and rushed after him. The others who were rushing in that direction saw the ball of light flash past them at breakneck speed, not just that, but the imposing auras of the duo at the Eighth stage of the Sovereign Plane. They were confused, but they turned around. ….

Grey appeared at the cave where he recuperated the last time. 'Haha, I thought I'd have to waste this flower. Looks like luck was on my side.' He was delighted. The truth of the matter is that he threatened the man who had the item while he was conversing with Old Light. Well, he offered something in return, a treasure. First off, he'll make sure the man wouldn't be chased by Old Light and the others, and he also told him the location of a treasure. The man didn't dare to go against someone like Grey. He didn't know where Grey was at the time, so even if Grey didn't offer him anything, he would've still tossed the item in that direction. As much as it would hurt, he will only be able to make use of the treasure when he is alive. It was best if Grey and the others fought for it. All that mattered was his life. Grey didn't bring the treasure out, he looked around and shook his head. "People keep dying for treasures." He sighed and went to the place where the miasma was located. At the entrance, he left off the aura of the treasure and stepped into the miasma. He left immediately while hiding his aura. ….

Old Light and the others just got to the island where the treasure was located, and they were about to search the entire island when they sensed the aura of the treasure from far away. Their eyes turned in that direction and they rushed towards it. When they appeared in front of the miasma, their expressions changed slightly. They didn't expect Grey to step into the miasma. "Do you think he's inside?" Old Light looked at the duo with a cold expression. "Impossible, there's no way he would dare to enter this place. He's messing with us." The man among the duo in the Eighth stage looked at the miasma with fear. "He's sent by the Second Prince, correct?" The lady asked. "We should go out to stop him. From here to the Capital is still very far. I have a few tricks we can use to intercept them midway." The man replied. "You know he's a Space Elementalist, right?" Old Light reminded them. "Don't worry about that. I'll gather all there is to know about him within the day." The lady said. The trio moved out. Not bothering to stay on the island any longer. The only thing they could do at the moment was stop Grey before he got to the Second Prince. ….

Grey went back to where his friends were located, and after sealing the place to ensure not a single aura would leak out, he brought out the treasure. "This truly is a good treasure."

They all clicked their tongues when they saw it. Just from the aroma, they could feel their cultivation bubbling. All three who just broke through used it to consolidate their realm.
