Chapter 1785 Sir Xavier II

1785  Sir Xavier II

'Oh, a Third stage Sovereign.' Grey raised a brow when he sensed the strength of the approaching figure. He could deduce that this place was definitely the City Lord's Manor, and no one would dare to fly this wantonly in Raging Flame City. When Grey first came into this special world, he realized that he couldn't fly, which placed him in a difficult position as at the time. However, after spending a few days studying the locals here, he quickly found out that he could use certain methods to keep oneself afloat. Having the wind element being the easiest method. Grey naturally had the wind element so it didn't take too long before he got a hang of how to use it to properly keep himself afloat and fly. The only disadvantage of this method is that one has to be fully focused on it, so fighting under such circumstances is almost impossible and not very favorable. Grey kept a calm expression on his face as he waited for the arrival of Sir Xavier. Outside the building Grey is drinking tea, a stoic figure landed on the open space. Sir Xavier's eyes radiated a sharp glint as he looked around. He looked to be around his early forties, and was adorned in grand clothings. If one looked at him properly, they'd see a slight resemblance to a certain figure, Mark. As soon as Sir Xavier appeared, he locked his eyes on the floor where Grey was seated, "I wonder why the Protectors called me back." The Blue and Black Protectors appeared by his side, and the Blue Protector went on to tell him about everything that happened.

"Hmph! You can't even handle a little boy? So what if he's powerful? Do you think that he's stronger than this Master?" Sir Xavier was irritated after he heard about how the two Protectors acted in the presence of others. Even if they wanted to take a step back, they should've at least killed the boy from the McCall Family. Since the McCall Family dared to embarrass them, then they naturally needed to pay the price. Yet the two Protectors not only spared them, but even invited Grey with them. Knocking out his son in the process after he protested. One had to hand it to the Blue Protector, he didn't omit any details from what happened. So the part of them knocking out Mark, as well as the reason behind their actions were revealed to Sir Xavier who spat on disdain. "Black, go wipe out that Mcwhatever Family. Blue, follow this Master to see the little kid who doesn't know his place." Sir Xavier gave out commands as he headed in the direction Grey was seated. He didn't even care about Grey's presence here. It's not that he hadn't thought about the possibility of Grey being from a top force given how young the Protectors said he looked which was in contrast to his strength. Nonetheless, he didn't believe any top force would want to offend the Raging Flame Faction over a mere McCall Family. From the Blue Protector's words, he could tell that Grey only stepped forward when the situation for the McCall Family had gotten dire. If he were acquainted with them before this event, he wouldn't have allowed them to be embarrassed to such an extent. Putting all these together, Sir Xavier believed that he could go ahead and wipe out the McCall Family to clear the shame brought upon them by the decisions of the two Protectors. Even if Grey was powerful, there's no way he could be at the Peak of the Sovereign Plane.

Unknown to Sir Xavier, he wasn't far from the truth with his deductions. Grey wasn't acquainted with the McCall Family and wouldn't even hear of them if not for Sir Astarot giving him the chance to enter this place. Since the opportunity had presented itself, he naturally took it. At first he was confused why Sir Astarot gave him this opportunity and not someone from the Vaergahl Family, after all, the genius is from said family. But according to Sir Astarot, the first requirement needed to have a shot at this treasure was a physique almost as powerful as a Magical Beast or higher. Once one has fulfilled this, the next requirement was to have a transformation like the one Grey does where he could make use of Dragon scales. None of the geniuses from the Vaergahl Family over the past years had met this requirement, so Sir Astarot hadn't told them about it. Also, since the war was coming, Sir Astarot decided to give this opportunity to Grey to further strengthen himself. The Black Protector nodded to Sir Xavier's commands and rushed out of the manor. The second he was about to leave the manor grounds, something incredulous happened. Sir Xavier and the Blue Protector hadn't left the open space they were previously standing on. They were walking in Grey's direction when they suddenly saw a figure mysteriously appear before them. This figure was surprisingly the Black Protector. Sir Xavier's expression turned dark as he yelled angrily, "Black! What is the meaning of this?!"

Black, however, stared at Sir Xavier in a dazed manner. A moment ago, he was about to leave the City Lord's manor, and all of a sudden he was standing in front of the City Lord. His heart started to pound as he couldn't understand what just took place. "Sir… Sir… X…" He stuttered, trying to figure out what happened. "Speak like a normal person. How did you appear here?" Sir Xavier asked coldly. But deep in his eyes, a ray of confusion flashed by. He clearly saw the Black Protector leaving after his command, yet the Black Protector appeared in front of him in such a mysterious manner. No matter how he thought about it, he couldn't wrap his head around how the Black Protector was brought to him, it was almost as if the Black Protector had teleported to his front.
