Chapter 1819 Taking A Trip With City Lord Vaughn
Chapter 1819 Taking A Trip With City Lord Vaughn
Grey noticed City Lord Vaughn's gaze and shrugged, "When do we set out?"
"Tomorrow morning. I've already informed them, so they'll wait for us." City Lord Vaughn explained.
Grey gave a thoughtful expression, a smile appeared on his face then he said, "If that's the case, I'd like to make a few preparations."
"Alright. I'll wait for you outside the eastern gates. There's a hill close to the eastern City walls, I'll be at the peak." City Lord Vaughn didn't have any problems with Grey making some preparations. The reason he was just calling Grey over was due to him making preparations for this trip.
With the duo coming to an agreement, Grey left the City Lord's Manor, but he didn't immediately head back to the McCall Manor, rather, he decided to take a stroll around the City. Raging Flames City was a large City, one of the largest Cities Grey has been to. The City is easily over seven hundred square kilometers, and he had barely seen the place. The possibility of having this chance again is low. He wasn't certain he would return to Raging Flames City after this trip. He still had some time here, so he wanted to see if he could grow as much as possible while he was still here. He might've gotten Jacob's lifetime legacy, but since there's still an opportunity to grow here, why not take it?
A day went by in the blink of an eye. Grey and Void spent the entire day taking in all the sights of Raging Flames City. There were a few things they were introduced to for the first time, after all, this was a different world and they will naturally have their native treasures and other things. Seeing some of these things for the first time, the duo investigated all of them, and anyone that piqued their interest was acquired.
The next morning.
McCall Manor main hall.
Grey was in the audience of all six Old men, addressing them. He informed them about leaving with the City Lord, and the possibility of him not returning to Raging Flames City. The truth is, although the McCall Family were very welcoming to him, it's all due to his strength. If he wasn't this powerful, the chances that he would've been allowed to take what Jacob Vaergahl left behind would've been impossible. Helping them deal with the strings attached to their cores is already repayment for keeping it all this while. Of course, everything has to be attributed to Jacob's terrifying array formation, without it, the McCall Family would've ransacked the hill long before Grey arrived.
The Old men didn't have any issues with Grey leaving, he even gave them access to the Hill which could be said to be the safest place in the McCall Manor. Even the City Lord will not necessarily be able to get through it in a short time.
Grey left the second he finished speaking with them, rushing straight to the hill outside the eastern gates of the City. Although he was early, he saw City Lord Vaughn and Lord Harry present there.
At the peak of the Hill.
"All set?" City Lord Vaughn asked when he saw Grey suddenly appear before him.
"Yes." Grey nodded as a form of greeting to Lord Harry, before walking closer to City Lord Vaughn.
"Haha, if that's the case, then we should be on our way." City Lord Vaughn laughed heartily before taking flight.
'Oh, there are no teleportation arrays here.' Coming from a place like the Aurora Continent where there were teleportation arrays in big cities such as Raging Flames City, Grey thought they'd be using a teleportation array. He forgot that this secret world doesn't seem to have any knowledge of the space element, so there was no way for them to have teleportation arrays. Even his space element is greatly restricted by this world, and he could only use it within a limited range.
Not wasting any time, Grey used the wind element to lift off and follow behind City Lord Vaughn.
The trio flew in silence for five hours nonstop, and only after the fifth hour did City Lord Vaughn slow down. According to him, they were entering a territory he wasn't too welcomed. Grey didn't ask why, nor did he really care. He was always alert, ready for any possible dangers. To be in a safer position, he even asked the bunny leader for help. The bunny leader has been out recruiting bunnies into its army since they entered this secret world. Void and the bunny leader could contact each other if they were within a certain distance, and the bunny leader tends to never leave this range.
With the bunny leader's bunnies scouting the area around them, Grey is certain that setting up an ambush for him is near impossible.
The group silently navigated through the territory, and after a few hours of flying and occasionally walking, they soon left the area.
A few days later.
The borders of the Raging Flames Territory.
Grey, City Lord Vaughn, and three others could be seen standing at the foot of a mountain.
Of the other three people with Grey and the City Lord, Lord Harry is naturally one of them, the other two were actually City Lords of two other Cities, but they aren't as strong as City Lord Vaughn as they were both in the Seventh stage of the Sovereign Plane.
"This is the place?" The one dressed in a red robe asked as he stared at the mountain that didn't seem any different from the ones around.
"It looks ordinary now, but by nightfall, you'll see what makes it different." City Lord Vaughn didn't say much, after saying this, he looked for an empty spot and sat down cross-legged, closing his eyes. They've been flying continuously for days now, since they were here, he wanted to recover as much as he could before nightfall.
Grey followed suit, while asking for reports from both Void and the bunny leader who were currently observing the mountain.
