Chapter 1927: Bunny Leader Making A Move
Chapter 1927: Bunny Leader Making A Move
Grey could sense the destructive aura pulsing from the portal as Void attacked it repeatedly, and he was gripped with fear. He was about to tell Void to stop when he heard the voice transmission from the Bunny Leader.
‘Don’t worry about it, I can contain it, just focus on stopping that guy.’
When Grey heard this, he understood why Void attacked the portal. At first Void was only trying to seal it, and only when he noticed he would not be able to in a short time did he start attacking it. At first Grey thought Void had lost it, after hearing from the Bunny Leader, he realized the Bunny Leader was probably the one who told Void to destroy it and not think about the repercussions. The reason this portal was more dangerous than the others was due to how solid it was.
Although Grey was a little worried, he knew the Bunny Leader would not put him or Void in danger. Besides, it was also close by and if not for the fact that he did not like fighting, he would have been helping out with the battle.
The Gnome was still entangled with Grey, seeing that Void was showing no signs of stopping, he turned to Grey, “Little boy, I know that we all have our differences and you have every right to want to seal the portal, stop your Cat, I will let you seal the portal.”
The Gnome was willing to negotiate with Grey at the moment, he even wanted to allow them to seal the portal. If it was sealed, it could still be unsealed in the future. He was not even worried about the portal being destroyed, if he was not here, he would not care about it. Unfortunately, he was not just close by, he was only a few meters away from the portal which meant he would be the first casualties once the portal was destroyed.
Grey did not respond, attacking more viciously, his job here was to seal the portal, and even though it looked like he had the upper hand against the Gnome, it was only because of the confined space they were in; after all, the cave was only a hundred meters wide or so, so as long as he could keep a close distance between himself and the Gnome, there was no way for the Gnome to use his full strength.
The Gnome was aware of this, infuriating him further. As he realized neither Grey nor Void had any plans of stopping, and the destructive aura was getting clearer and clearer, he did not attack Grey, rather, he cut open a path in the cave, opening a path upward in an attempt to escape.
Grey did not expect this powerful Gnome to buckle under the pressure and show cowardice, well thinking about it, if the Gnome stayed behind, he believed it would be certain death if the portal was destroyed. Other than Void and Grey, he did not receive the transmission from the Bunny Leader, so he naturally had no idea there was a way to deal with the portal.
Grey did not even bother to give chase, panting heavily, he collapsed to the ground, hurriedly bringing out a healing tonic from his spatial storage before emptying its content into his mouth.
“Come out, how do you plan to deal with this thing?” Grey’s expression was solemn. At the moment he was almost regretting not stopping Void from destroying the portal. Spatial distortions had already started to appear in the cave, covering most of it. This was also the reason the Gnome decided to escape and not fight any more.
The Bunny Leader appeared in front of the portal that Void had already stopped attacking. He did not need to attack it any more as the spatial distortions were already doing that.
The Bunny Leader suddenly took on a weird stance standing on its hind legs while his small paws started to make quick hand seals. This was the first time Grey was seeing the Bunny Leader show such a serious look.
Void retreated, moving closer to Grey, he asked in a whisper, “What’s he doing?”
Grey shook his head, clueless as to what the Bunny Leader was doing. At first there were no changes as the spatial distortions not only increased, but they also became extremely violent. Even Grey who was a Space Elementalist did not dare to get close to any of them.
Void looked at the spatial distortions with interest while placing his paw on his chin as if in deep thoughts.
The Bunny Leader’s paw movements did not only, rather, its speed increased. After a few seconds, the Bunny Leader gave a loud shout before palming both paws forward. To Grey and Void’s surprise, an array-like seal flew out from the Bunny Leader’s paws and shot straight into the portal.
The portal that was shaking violently a few seconds ago suddenly saw a change as it shook even more, spitting out more spatial distortions.
Seeing this, Grey’s expression turned blank. He did not know if what the Bunny Leader did worked or made things worse.
“Quick, I need help from you two. Destroy the spatial distortions coming out.” The Bunny Leader ordered in his small voice.
Grey and Void reacted immediately, using their space elements to confine the spatial distortions before they destroyed them. The duo were very efficient, dealing with the multiple areas that had spatial distortions. They noticed the space in the cave showing signs of collapsing, turning to the Bunny Leader.
“We should leave now, staying here any longer will be dangerous.” The Bunny Leader urged.
“I thought you said you could deal with it?” Grey asked, perplexed. If the Bunny Leader could not stop the calamity, then why did he confidently tell them not to worry?
“I can contain it, but I can not stop it. At most anything inside this cave will be tossed into the void.” The Bunny Leader replied.
