Chapter 1939: New Space Ability

Chapter 1939: New Space Ability

Grey could hear the urgency from the Bunny Leader’s tone, hurriedly setting out with the others. He knew for a fact that there was no danger and the Bunny Leader most likely discovered something he wanted him to see.

As they flew closer to the place where the explosion happened, Grey could sense the space fluctuations clearer and stronger. The only time he had sensed something like that was when Void destroyed the portal a few months ago.

‘Did someone accidentally destroy a portal?’ This was the thought that came to his head as they drew closer.

A few minutes later, they had already covered a few kilometers, getting to the location of the explosion. From afar, they could see the clouds of smoke rising to the sky, most of the trees around the blast site were shattered from the impact of the explosion.

Before them was a five hundred meters crater that was around a few hundred meters deep. Looking down, it was almost as if they were staring at a bottomless pit. They could not see the bottom of the crater due to the black smoke.

“Are we going down?” Klaus asked with a nervous chuckle, he could feel a dreadful aura from the pit and genuinely did not want to go in.

Grey shook his head, he did not know what to expect from this so it was better if he went in alone, at least he had the space element and should be able to deal with anything that happens, “I’ll go in alone. If it’s safe I’ll let you guys know when to come in.”

The others did not have any problems with his arrangement, they were not good at escaping and even though the Bunny Leader would not necessarily betray them, there are chances of things going wrong in such a place, so the fewer the number of people that went in the better.

Taking a deep breath, Grey plunged into the pit. At first sight, Grey thought the pit would be only a few hundred meters deep. After falling for a few seconds and not reaching the ground, he realized he miscalculated, this place was even deeper than a kilometer. Unsure of where to go due to the darkness, he followed the aura of the Bunny Leader. He slowed his descent, carefully investigating the area as he descended. The further down he went, the stronger the space fluctuations. He could even sense signs of spatial distortions around him, making him heave a sigh of relief he did not come in with the others.

He could sense the spatial distortions thanks to having the space element, his friends could not. If they were to accidentally get caught in it, they would be in serious danger as the possibility of being sent to the vast void was very high. Even for Space Elementalists like Grey and the Bunny Leader, the void is not something they would want to be trapped in. From what Grey learned during his study of the space element, the void was a limitless area with no way to even know which way is east or west.

Another minute went by before Grey’s feet touched the ground. As soon as he landed, a foul stench attacked his nose, making him almost puke. Covering his nose, he tried to look around and observe his surroundings, only to see he could not see more than twenty meters away from where he stood. A Sovereigns’ vision is amazing and they could even see ants moving a kilometer away, yet he could not see more than twenty meters in this strange pit.

Following the aura of the Bunny Leader, he walked towards his right, stepping on multiple bones on the way. A few seconds later, he noticed an opening, and the Bunny Leader’s aura came from within. He boldly walked into the place, removing any fear from his head.

The cave was unexpectedly not as dim as he thought it would be, even the foul stench did not seem to invade this place, giving him a little comfort. The foul stench annoyed him even more than the spatial distortions in the way.

Walking into the cave, about fifty meters from the entrance, he saw the Bunny Leader staring at a floating liquid. What shocked Grey was the strong space aura coming from this floating liquid. The liquid was three inches wide and ten inches long.

He walked over curiously and asked, “What is that?”

This was the first time he was seeing something like this, his curiosity was naturally piqued.

“This is something only found in the void. As you know I’ve explored the void on a few occasions and was able to see this thing once. I don’t understand how it appeared here.” The Bunny Leader explained while his paws were on his jaw, seemingly in thought.

“Is it something good for us?” Grey asked, that was the only thing he wanted to know. If this thing could help him improve his space abilities, then he would be elated, if not, he would just take it as a chance to learn about something new.

The Bunny Leader nodded, “It’s indeed helpful to Space Elementalists, unfortunately, we can’t use this one.”

Pointing at the middle spot of the liquid, he explained, “You see that dark spot there? It has been corroded by something dangerous. If any Space Elementalists try to refine this, they will only cause their own deaths.”

“Is it that dangerous?” Grey asked wide-eyed.

“It will slowly expel parts of your body into the void. Now tell me, is it dangerous?” The Bunny Leader asked in a serious voice.

“If it’s useless to us, why did you call me over then?” Grey felt like this trip was a waste of time if he could not benefit anything from it. If the liquid was useful, he would have been happy. The Bunny Leader’s words said otherwise, so he did not see the point of the Bunny Leader calling them over.

“It’s useless if you try to refine it, I didn’t say you can’t study it or even use it as a weapon. I noticed you’ve been trying to create some sort of crystal to store some attacks, with this thing, you will not only have a better holding container, you will also be able to deal more damage if you can utilize the space element in it properly.” The Bunny Leader has been watching Grey try out his crystals so when he saw this, he had the thought of helping Grey use it.

“Oh, why didn’t you say that first.” Realizing the liquid was useful brought some relief to Grey, at least he did not waste his time.

Looking at the liquid, Grey was indeed intrigued by it. It was unfortunate he could not refine it as that would be the best way for him to have a better understanding of it. Furthermore, it would also help with his control and mastery of the space element. He was still miles behind both Void and the Bunny Leader in terms of spatial abilities. His space element has mostly been used for teleportation and switching places. Not just that, he has been restrained from using the space element by countless opponents while Void and the Bunny Leader could still access their space element. This is something that has always bugged him and he hoped his space element would one day be as strong as the Bunny Leader or even Void.

Grey took out a strange-looking container that gave off an eerie aura, trying to use it to seal the liquid.

As soon as the liquid made contact with the container, Grey’s eyes bulged out as he saw that it was slowly eating away the container.

“Huh?”

The more he watched the liquid in action the more his eyes brightened. His eyes were not the only things brightening, even his body started to give off a glow.

The Bunny Leader was still thinking about what could have brought this liquid here so he did not notice Grey trying to use the container to take the liquid in time, he was about to speak when he noticed Grey’s abnormality. Taking a closer look, he realized Grey was having some sort of epiphany just by watching the liquid.

‘How is this possible?!’ The Bunny Leader has been with Grey for a while now and knew that he was different from others and did not think there would be anything Grey would do that could surprise him again. Nevertheless, he was blown away right now. He could tell Grey was comprehending something as he watched, and the spatial fluctuations he could sense from Grey’s body frightened him.

The more he looked at Grey the wider his eyes got.

‘So that’s it?’ He thought to himself in realization. The element that had the highest corrosive ability is naturally the darkness element, however, the space element could be used in an almost similar manner, just that compared to the darkness element that visibly eats away whatever it corroded, the space element chops out bits of the item, sending it into the vast space.
