Chapter 1945: Asking For Help II

Chapter 1945: Asking For Help II

The young Gnome’s mind was racing how he could deal with the rumored nemesis of the Gnome Race, he had already brought out his Puppet, not just that, he also felt the link being severed. His body was currently in place, unable to make any movement.

Klaus appeared before the Gnome with a single step, crossing a distance of fifteen meters like it was nothing, he looked at the Gnome with a smile before patting him on the shoulder. The Gnome Race’s small stature always makes them look like kids whenever a Human is standing close to them. The action of Klaus patting him on the shoulder was like that of an elder brother consoling their younger sibling.

The other Gnomes did not understand why the Gnome could not react. Everything happened within a second and even though they could tell that Klaus was strong, the few Gnomes around the Fifth and Sixth stage could tell Klaus and the Gnome were both Seventh stage Sovereign, and there was also the Puppet that stood there like a statue.

The distraction in the Gnome’s eyes faded away as he regained his clarity, dread filled his eyes as he wanted to retreat only to find out his legs were frozen to the ground. He raised his head only to see a mocking grin on Klaus’s face.

“You said you’ll make sure I stay alive as long as possible to make sure I feel myself slowly turning into a Puppet, correct?” Klaus looked at the Puppet, poking it playfully and said, “Experience what it feels like to slowly turn into an ice sculpture.”

The Gnome shivered, his breath visibly turning cold in the presence of everyone.

If the First stage Gnome losing a hand without being able to react frightened the Gnomes, watching someone who is seen as the strongest Gnomes in their midst slowly turning into an ice sculpture without even being able to even struggle freaked them out and filled them with dread and despair.

The question in each of their heads now is; how could they fight against this?

They did not know how the first Gnome lost his hand, and now even this Gnome did not make a single move before he slowly started to lose his life.

“Once the Elders come out you’re all dead! ” A Lady Gnome who did not lose her wits about her spoke up.

When the Gnomes heard about the Elders, their dim eyes started to glow once again.

“Which Elders? Those six guys inside?” Klaus raised a brow and asked casually.

“Since you know they’re inside, stop whatever you’re doing to him and maybe you will keep your head.” The Lady Gnome threatened. She knew how strong this young Gnome was, if even he did not stand a chance against this freak, none of them could, except for the Elders. This was the reason she brought them up.

“Oh, would you like to meet them now, or are you going to wait?” Klaus suddenly asked.

His question caught the Gnome by surprise and she unconsciously nodded her head; of course she wanted to meet the Elders now. The only thing she did not understand was why Klaus was the one asking the question.

Klaus sighed, “If you had been patient, you would have at least lived longer than this fool.’

Saying this, he pointed his index finger at the Lady Gnome, and a thin ice needle appeared, before anyone could even get a proper look at it, the needle vanished. Looking in the direction Klaus pointed, everyone saw that the Lady Gnome had turned into a complete ice sculpture.

“What?!” Exclamations rang out among the Gnomes. They did not think a Fourth stage Sovereign would die just like that. The Lady Gnome was not even able to resist once again, making it three times the Humans have made a move that they were unable to react.

The Gnome Klaus patted was still in the process of completely turning into an ice sculpture, already frozen to his waist, yet the Lady Gnome’s freezing process was almost instantaneous. This was clear proof that Klaus was purposely making the Gnome experience the torture of turning frozen. The Gnome was already pale from the cold, but for some reason, he was still perfectly alive.

Klaus made sure the Gnome could not speak or scream, only the sound of his teeth clattering came out from his mouth.

The Gnomes all sucked in a deep breath as they watched the events unfold, it has not even been more than two minutes or so since these Humans arrived yet two people were basically dead, another seriously wounded, and their Elders have still not come out of the already collapsed mountain. There are only two reasons the Elders did not come out, either they were helping the Senior, which was highly unlikely, or they were dead. At the moment, they were leaning towards the latter rather than the former. Just from the shockwaves alone, the Seventh stage Sovereigns knew there was no way an Eighth stage Sovereign would be able to survive and they would only get in the way of the Senior if they stayed close.

‘Could it be the Human scum that attacked the Senior killed them first?’ The Gnomes thought.

Klaus was about to continue playing around with them when Grey suddenly said with visible distress, “Teacher just contacted me, there’s trouble on his end.”

Klaus’s playful smile disappeared when he heard this, his father was with his Uncle, Chris. During their last meeting, he was informed that his father was not able to restore his cultivation, which meant he was basically a normal person at this point. Even the shockwaves from Sages fighting might be able to kill him, much less Sovereigns. His mood changed in an instant and the Gnome he was standing close to exploded into bits of ice pieces.

The sudden change shocked the Gnomes, their emotions in turmoil. They wanted to run, yet they could not as the Senior was probably watching from above.
