Chapter 1947: You’ve Had Enough Fun, Let Me Go
The Gnome did not give up, “You can see the Human Race will fall. You’re not the first to come over to our side.” After saying this, he turned to the Man, “You can join us as well, although we have enough Peak Sovereigns, there’s no harm in having one more.”
The Man laughed when he heard this, finding the Gnome’s offer funny. They were currently engaged in a life and death battle and the Gnome thought he would be able to convince him and Grey to join them with just a few words.
“I don’t know if you’re stupid or just dumb.” Grey commented after the Gnome finished his statement.
The Gnome frowned, not pleased being insulted by someone so young, he snorted and said, “Boy, this is your last chance. If you miss this opportunity you will only have yourself to blame for losing your life.”
“I’d rather die than work with Gnomes.” Grey did not even want to hear the Gnome speak again, sending out a lightning strike his way.
The Gnome dealt with the attack with a wave of his hand, staring at Grey he said, “You’re not the first to say these words and join us in the end. Don’t worry, maybe when you’ve seen our power you’ll understand you Humans are doomed.”
Swoosh!
The Gnome noticed something moving quickly through the wind, turning his head to the Man, he noticed the Man had attacked.
“You talk too much.” The Man said as he thrust his spear forward. Multiple spears appeared in the sky, seemingly trying to overwhelm the Gnome.
It was not that there were multiple spears, the Man was just thrusting it forward too fast that it appeared like over a hundred spears appeared.
The Gnome snorted coldly and reacted. Just like the Man, he was also a Wind Elementalist, and also had a weapon with him that was just as powerful as the Man’s spear. Using his lance, he matched the Man’s spear, blocking each attack.
When he thought he was done, he felt a powerful attack coming from his back. A sea of blue flames tried to swallow him.
Using his darkness element, he protected himself as soon as the sea of flames got to him. No matter how hot the flames burned, they could not burn past his protection made from the darkness element.
The Man attacked at this moment, striking with one of his strongest attacks. A gale came from below the Gnome, forcing him up.
The Gnome steadied himself, only to be met with a blast of hot flames from above. Gritting his teeth, his lance appeared, striking it at the flames above. He knew the gale the Man made use of would be harder to deal with, so he opted to focus on Grey’s attack.
Grey knew the Gnome would focus his attention on him, using his space element, he made sure not to get too close to the Gnome while also attacking with precision.
Boom! Bang!
All three quickly became entangled in a brawl with the Gnome pushed into a corner by the duo’s continuous attacks. When the Gnome was fighting with just the Man, he was able to fight back, against the two now, he was forced into a passive state, defending and not having the opportunity to attack. Even the times he managed to create opportunities for attacks, Grey was always able to make his efforts futile.
The Gnome might be stronger and having the wind element made him fast, but Grey’s instantaneous movement gave him the advantage in terms of speed here, especially when there’s another Wind Elementalist to restrain the Gnome.
The longer the fight became, the more frustrated the Gnome was becoming. Grey was making it too hard for him to do anything.
Boom!
He was struck by an attack from the Man, using the momentum, he charged at Grey.
The Man did not expect the Gnome to allow himself to be struck by an attack just to use it to charge at Grey.
A vicious smile appeared on the face of the Gnome as his chance had finally come. Once he incapacitates Grey, he would be able to bring out his Puppet and make short work of the Man. His plan was flawless as there was no way Grey would be fast enough to dodge this attack. His lance was aimed at Grey’s head.
Seeing the Gnome coming his way, Grey did not panic, his lips curled into a playful smile as his figure changed.
‘Huh?’ The Gnome was taken aback, the reason for this was because the figure his lance was aimed at was no longer Grey, rather, it was the Man.
The moment Grey realized what the Gnome was planning to do, he sent a voice transmission to the Man not to resist his space element. There was no way he could switch places with someone as strong as the Man, so he had to inform him beforehand. Voice transmissions could be done in the blink of an eye, so before the Gnome’s lance got within twenty meters of Grey, he had already changed places with the Man.
The Man smiled at the Gnome, swinging his spear at him.
The Gnome did not expect an attack of this level to come when he tried attacking, with no other choice, he had to retract his attack and block the Man’s attack. During the process of blocking the Man’s attack, two snakes made from blue flames swooped in from the side, both opening their mouths with the intention of swallowing him in one bite.
Both Snakes were well over fifteen meters long, given the size of the Gnome, it was barely a snake for either of them.
The Gnome was infuriated at the sight of this, but there was nothing he could do as he had to deal with the Man’s attack.
As soon as he blocked the Man’s attack, he threw out an item that blasted one of the Snakes to smithereens. He was unfortunately swallowed by the other Snake.
The Man knew this was not enough to deal with the Gnome, a tornado appeared, enveloping the Snake.
“Argghh!” A roar of rage came from within the Snake as it exploded, showing the Gnome who was in a sorry state. The Gnome thought he had escaped, only to notice he was caught in a tornado. The tornado infused with blue flames burnt his flesh.
While he was inside the belly of the Snake, he had already suffered some degree of burns, now, he was faced with flames reinforced by the wind. An item appeared on his hand, and he attempted to crush it.
Grey was watching from the side, the second he saw the item in the Gnome’s hand, his expression turned serious as his domain spread out, “You think you can escape with me here?”
He sensed the potent space elemental aura coming from the item in the Gnome’s hand and knew that it was definitely used for teleportation. Given how strong the aura coming from the item was, the possibility of it being a long distance teleportation item was very high. There was no way he would watch the Gnome escape under his watch. The last time a few Peak Sovereign Gnomes escaped, this time, faced with just one Gnome, he would not give him the chance to escape.
As soon as the Gnome crushed the item, Grey eyes turned pitch black.
The Man saw the Gnome’s figure vanish from within the tornado, confused, he tried to locate the Gnome to no avail. He was about to speak when he saw the figure of the Gnome appearing eight hundred kilometers away, crashing into the ground.
The Gnome was forcefully thrown from the void, and being someone that was not a Space Elementalist, it was impossible for him to regain his balance, crashing into the ground.
The Man rushed in that direction, Grey right behind him.
When they arrived, they did not see any signs of the Gnome. Grey did not worry as he did not need his eyes to track the Gnome, he could sense the Gnome running underground.
The Man saw Grey pointing at the ground, and a second later, the Gnome’s enraged voice could be heard from the ground before his figure shot out from the ground.
If the Gnome’s previous state was sorry, now he was looking wretched, and the Man almost felt pity for him.
The eyes of the Gnome had turned red, if looks could kill, then the Gnome would have killed Grey with his eyes ten times over by now.
Grey smirked when he saw the Gnome, “Did you think you could escape from me with that toy?”
Hearing Grey call his life-saving item a toy, the Gnome wanted to retort but looking at his condition he did not speak. In truth, in the presence of a real Space Elementalist, the item was indeed a toy.
“Boy, you’ve had enough fun. Let me go and I promise to never return here.” The Gnome knew his chances of escape was practically zero with Grey here, swallowing his pride, he decided to plead with them.
