Chapter 1972: Return To The Gnome World IV

The Bunny Leader knocked out the other Gnome, to ensure they did not disturb Grey as he worked on the teleportation array. After completing the array, Grey woke the two Gnomes up. He had no idea where he was currently standing, without the duo, there was no way he would be able to figure out where to go.

When the duo regained consciousness and noticed there was a masked Human standing before them, they instinctively wanted to attack, only to notice they could not make use of their essence. Their expressions darkened at the realization of what happened to them.

“I have no intention of killing you, I just need you to point me in the direction of the nearest City.” Grey brought out the Seventh Prince’s token he had with him since the last time they entered the Gnome World and showed it to the duo.

When they saw the Seventh Prince’s token, they relaxed, thinking the Human before them was one of the Necromancers under the Seventh Prince.

“If you have no intention to kill us, why is our essence sealed then?” One of the Gnomes asked with a cold expression. He would never believe the words coming out of the mouth of a Human. He could sense that this Human was strong, and after thinking about how he did not sense anything before he passed out, he was confident about his thoughts. Of course, he would never show a weak side to this Human.

Waving his hand, Grey unsealed the duo. Before waking them up, he had already searched them and made anything they could use to contact anyone unusable.

Seeing Grey remove the seals on them, they heaved a sigh of relief before asking condescendingly, “What are you doing here?”

Grey squinted his eyes at the tone of the Gnome, holding back the urge to slap the Gnome to death, he explained, “As you can see, I’m under command of His Highness the Seventh Prince to capture a thief. He should be the one that knocked you two out. I’ve searched around and he’s nowhere to be seen.”

The eyes of the two Gnomes widened as they exclaimed, “The passage!”

“It’s too weak to transport him.” Grey replied, looking at the duo he continued, “Is there any City around this place?”

The Gnomes nodded in unison.

“Which direction?”

As long as he could locate a City, getting to the Capital would be easy. It would also be a means to gather information as he passes these Cities. From what he gathered while he was controlled the Seventh Prince, he could tell most of the powerhouses were gathering their forces in that region. This will make his journey in the Gnome Would safer without having to worry about encountering too many experts.

Compared to the last time he came here, if he even faces a Peak Sovereign now, he could fight back. Even if he ends up defeated, he can always run away. This was the reason he was confident enough to come here.

The duo pointed him in the direction he wanted, before leaving, he placed them under his control. Both Gnomes were in the Sage Plane, making it easy for him to control them without any drawbacks, unlike the case of the current Seventh Prince.

Following the direction given by the duo, it took close to an hour for him to get to the nearest City. When he arrived, from the City gate, Gnomes were trooping in and out. Not just Gnomes, there were even some Humans. Most of the Humans had chains on their necks connecting them together, but there were a few walking freely.

“Necromancers…” He muttered under his breath as he walked into the City.

He wore a black robe, his mask did not make him seem suspicious as most of the Necromancers wore masks. Entering the City, he headed straight for the market area. The currency of the Gnome World was different from the Human World, and he had enough with him to purchase a map. He did not leave the City immediately after acquiring the map, he needed information on what has been happening in the Gnome World and the probable next step of the Gnomes.

It did not take long before he located a group of Necromancers sitting together in an Inn. The cultivations of these Necromancers was relatively weak with the strongest being an Eighth stage Venerable. When Grey approached them, they were in the middle of a discussion. Sensing his approach, they all turned to look in his direction. Not all Necromancers liked wearing masks, and a few were in this gathering.

“Can we help you?” A Necromancer with bushy beards asked in a hoarse voice. Wariness flashing across his eyes as he asked. He was the strongest person seated here and could not sense this stranger’s cultivation. He would have mistaken him for an ordinary person if not for the fact that they were in the Gnome World and it was impossible for normal Humans to appear here. Normal people were a rarity even in the Human World, much less the Gnome World.

There is only one reason he could not sense this stranger’s cultivation, the gap in their cultivation must be massive. He had been with Sovereigns before and could sense their cultivation, at least those in the Early stages of the Sovereign Plane

Grey nodded before replying in a cold voice, “I don’t mean to intrude, but is what he said true?” He pointed at a Man dressed in white.

The Man in white looked at Grey, nodding, he replied, “A hundred percent true. I heard this from the Commander I was stationed under. The seal has been broken, and a large scale battle will commence in the coming days.”

“When did this happen?” Grey pressed on.

The Necromancer went on to tell him how he overheard his Commander conversing with another Commander. At the time, be was walking past when he heard the shocking news of the seal being broken.
