Chapter 1976: Six-colored Fusion Orb

Chapter 1976: Six-colored Fusion Orb

“Interesting.” Grey muttered when he heard about the strength of the Family the Principal was sold to. It was as he feared, they had a Half God Plane expert, two at that. The space element was not omniscient, in the presence of experts in the Half God Plane, it could be restrained.

Glancing at the Gnome, a thought came to Grey’s head, “You’re coming with me.”

Grabbing the Gnome by the shoulder, he disappeared from the shop. With a few teleportations, he was out of Velin City. He had to make appropriate preparations if he wanted to sneak into a compound with two Half God Plane experts. According to the Gnome, there were also multiple Peak Sovereigns. The Peak Sovereigns did not scare Grey much, he had crossed blows with multiple Peak Sovereigns. Though he was not fully confident he could beat them in a one on one fight, he was at least eighty percent certain he could escape from any Peak Sovereign if faced with one.

In a cave a few tens of kilometers away from Velin City.

Grey tossed the Gnome to one side of the cave and got to work. On his way to the City the previous day, this was one of the caves he discovered. Well hidden, and a good distance away from the City. The reason he did not bring the group of four here after rescuing them was for fear that they would want to go out after discovering they were out of the City. Of course, the possibility of this happening was quite low, nonetheless, he would rather keep them in the City than take them out.

“Where are we?” The Gnome asked, horrified. A few minutes ago they were still in the City. His vision blurred repeatedly while the scenery changed in quick succession, only to be thrown harshly to the ground.

Grey did not bother with the Gnome, focusing on the task at hand. He took out a strange-looking liquid that gave off a terrifying aura.

The Gnome, armless, looked at the liquid in fear. He did not know what it was, however, his senses were screaming danger to him. He explicitly knew that if covered by this liquid, he would die without the shadow of a doubt. Gripped by fear, he wanted to stand up, only to fall to the ground due to his lack of hands. Cursing under his breath, he crawled to the edge of the cave, using the help of the wall to slowly get to his feet.

“Sit, if you don’t want to lose your legs.”

Grey’s voice made him pause, petrified. He had already lost both arms, losing his legs would be no different from losing his life.

“I’ve told you what you wanted to know, why must you treat me like an animal?” The Gnome said, his voice filled with indignation.

“Oh? I never thought a Gnome would ever feel this way, given how you treat Humans.” Grey replied in a sarcastic tone. Gnomes have always treated Humans like they were nothing, yet this Gnome was speaking in such a manner? Just the thought of it filled Grey with disgust.

The Gnome froze, unsure of how to reply. He was livid, unfortunately there was nothing he could do. He was the weaker one, and since he had been captured by Grey, he knew his life and death were no longer in his hands. Grunting in displeasure, he sat down.

Throughout the conversation, Grey did not even spare the Gnome a glance. Without his arms, there was nothing the Gnome could do. Even so, Void and the Bunny Leader were watching his every movement. The Gnome’s space ring was presently with him, there was no way for the Gnome to contact anyone, except there was a way Grey had no knowledge of.

Focusing on the liquid in front of him, he sighed. This was something he thought he would not use anytime soon. After acquiring the space liquid, he comprehended a form of space elemental attack which he had used once. The attack was effective, only the time it took was too long. It could be best used against protective shields and arrays. It is not completely ineffective against an opponent, just not ideal since it requires the other party to stand idly and watch it eat them away. At least for now, he was not able to use it in a way that it could ignore the actions of others.

‘A fusion orb with six elements should be enough, right?’ He thought to himself as he looked at the liquid.

With the help of this liquid, he wanted to produce a six-colored fusion orb. This was his strongest ability at the moment. There was also his fusion inscription. Unlike the fusion orb, fusion inscription can only be created and used in the moment.

The Bunny Leader helped him with the method to use this liquid to store his fusion orb for a long period. This was the first time he was attempting it. Bringing out the Bunny Leader, he had him assist him. There was no room for errors, and given the quantity of the liquid, the Bunny Leader is the only one that can guarantee his success.

The duo went to work, while Void watched the Gnome who was sitting by the side with a gloomy expression on his face. The Gnome was watching each of Grey’s actions. He had tried to see if he could peer through the mask and see his captors face. Unfortunately, the gap in strength was massive. Even when trying to use his Mental Sense, he still failed to achieve anything. With no other choice, he watched whatever Grey was up to, wishing he failed. As soon as he sensed the aura coming from the six-colored orb, he stopped wishing Grey failed. If Grey fails, the explosion from the six-colored orb will wipe him off the face of the world. Even at his peak, his survival was practically zero, much less now that his arms were gone.

Time trickled by second by second, the six-colored orb started showing signs of instability. The Gnome’s heart almost jumped out of his chest the moment this started. Beads of sweat covered his forehead as he watched. If he still had arms, they would both be clenched into a fist as he watched. It was as if his survival depended on this evil Human’s success. As much as he wanted Grey to die, he only wished for him to succeed with whatever he was up to at the moment.

A few seconds later, both Grey and the Gnome heaved a sigh of relief.

Grey could not help taking a look at the Gnome, a little surprised that he was also worried. Chuckling, he played with the orb in his palm. If he was not wearing a mask, a big smile would have been plastered on his face.

He did not expect things to go without any hiccups. Given his usual trials, he was worried it would have exploded in his face. This was all thanks to the Bunny Leader who assisted him. The Bunny Leader’s control of the space element was miles ahead of Grey’s.

“Let’s make three more, just to be safe.” He said to the Bunny Leader.

His objective with these fusion orbs is purely to cause chaos in Velin City as he tried to rescue the Principal. If he could drag the Half God Plane experts from the top Family away from the compound, he would have no issues with taking the Principal away. Of course, it would be best if he did not encounter any situation that needed him to make use of the fusion orbs.

The Bunny Leader complained under his breath, but continued to work with Grey while making the fusion orbs. He was tasked with using the liquid to contain the fusion orb while Grey created the six-colored fusion orbs and maintained them.

After the first one, making the second one was easier and faster. By the time they made the fourth one, it took only three to four seconds.

Looking at the liquid, Grey felt his heart clench. More than half of the liquid had been expended in just four fusion orbs. From what was left, he could only make at most three more fusion orbs.

Heaving a sigh, he carefully kept the fusion orbs in his spatial storage. Now that he had the fusion orbs, it was time to return to Velin City. Walking over to the Gnome, he grabbed him.

“What do you want to do, I’m warning you, I have people in places that can kill you in the blink of an eye.” The Gnome threatened.

Grey’s cold eyes lingered on the body of the Gnome, making the Gnome shiver. Even without saying a word, he believed his message has been sent across. The Gnome closed his mouth, only grumbling internally. He could not help but regret ever being the one to buy the group the Principal was with.
