Chapter 2005: I Found Him

Chapter 2005: I Found Him

‘Hm?’ Grey raised a brow as he felt the existence of something he felt was foreign. He could not figure out what it was, but he was certain that it was something he had never felt before. Furthermore, it was something that he felt from the essence around him itself and not like there was something close by.

‘What’s happening?’ He furrowed his brows in confusion. First there was the sense of being watched throughout his stay in the Gnome World, and only after returning to the Human World did this feeling disappear. However, the moment he arrived in the Human World, he suddenly felt a strange and foreign aura in the world, something he had never felt before. Given the fact that it was also something that he felt from the world essence itself, it meant that it was something that was fairly new.

“Are you alright?” The Principal walked over to Grey’s side and asked.

He did not see the person that attacked them when they were about to leave, nonetheless, he sensed the shocking power of the attack from the place they stood. Even though Grey blocked most of the attacks, just the aftershock made him almost cough up blood.

Grey stood back up, “I’ll be fine.”

After saying this, he took out his communication device. He was back, and he successfully found the Principal, so it was only right that he contacted Klaus the moment he returned. He sent a message to Klaus, asking for his whereabouts. After waiting for some time, he did not get a response. Not thinking too much into it, he decided he would head to Red City with the people he rescued first. Since Klaus did not respond instantly, he should probably be preoccupied with something else.

Calming himself, Grey looked around and just when he wanted to lead the group back, he froze and almost facepalmed. Now that he thought about it, although Red City is not far from his current location, it would still take them at least three days to complete the journey. There was a way to shorten the time needed for their journey, teleportation arrays. Being the one who created most of the teleportation arrays in the Azure Continent, he could naturally create one in this City that could be used to teleport the group directly to the teleportation array in Red City in the shortest time possible.

Although the making of the teleportation array took some time and energy, it was not something that was too difficult for him. Telling the others to rest, he immediately got to work.

Two hours later.

Grey was done with the teleportation array, standing inside it with the four others, he activated the teleportation array and they were all covered by a glowing light.

….

Red City.

This was basically known as the sanctuary of the entire Azure Continent. Being that the Azure Continent was cut off from the Aurora Continent all those years ago, it was incredibly difficult for people to get to the Aurora Continent from here. There were a few teleportation arrays that could help with transporting people there. Sadly, the number of the people that could be teleportated at a time was very low. Even with Grey’s current attainments in teleportation arrays, he found it impossible to connect any of the arrays in the Azure Continent to the ones in the Aurora Continent, a testament of just how difficult it was.

The teleportation array in Red City was guarded by a master in the Ninth stage of the Sovereign Plane. Although it has been impossible to make use of Grey’s teleportation arrays without his presence, someone was still stationed here to make sure anyone did not sneak into Red City, especially Gnomes. He was also given another task, and that was to report to Lucas the moment Grey appeared.

The Ninth Stage Sovereign had been keeping an eye on the teleportation array for a while now and although the job was a little boring, he took the chance to cultivate. Some of his companions were fighting in the front lines against the Gnomes, and he was forced to keep an eye on a teleportation array that does not seem to be working. He had tried using it on a few occasions, and failed to get a response from it, so he assumed it was not working.

On this day, he was focused on his cultivation when he suddenly noticed a strange glow. Opening his eyes, he realized the glow was coming from the teleportation array. As he stared in astonishment at the supposedly useless array, he saw five figures appearing all of a sudden.

The size of the figures made him heave a sigh of relief that it was not Gnomes. When the light died down and he took in the face of the newly arrived figures, he saw a handsome young man in the lead of the group. Looking at the face of the young man, he found it oddly familiar. The young man was dressed in full black attire.

Opening his mouth, he asked, “Grey Dawson?”

“Uh?” Grey was taken aback when he heard his name and turned to look in the direction of the person calling out to him. Seeing the Ninth stage Sovereign, he replied, “Yes?”

The Ninth stage Sovereign was a middle-aged man who was somewhat chubby, confirming Grey’s identity, he laughed causing his fat face to jiggle, “So it’s Young Lord Grey, Lord Lucas told me to report to him the second you return.”

“My Father?” Grey frowned, but when he thought about it, it is normal that his Father would be worried after finding out that he rushed to the Gnome World, nodding he said, “Don’t worry, I’m heading to meet him now.”

He did not forget to thank the middle-aged man before leaving. He could guess that the latter has been standing guard here since he disappeared. Bringing out the communication device, he noticed that his parents were close by, but Klaus, Alice, and Reynolds were not in Red City. Furrowing his brows, he rushed in the direction of his Father.

The middle-aged man smiled as he watched Grey leave with the others. He had wanted to ask Grey where he came from since he could see that the four with him looked like they just experienced a certain death situation. Thinking about it, it was normal to see people like this these days, after all, the Azure Continent was currently plunged in chaos and people were dying day by day. The passage in the Magical Beast’s Forest might be the main focus, but the Gnomes were still using other passages to sneak into the Azure Continent as well as the Aurora Continent to cause havoc minute by minute.

Grey soon arrived in front of a large Hall, sensing the aura of not just his Father, but others as well, he told the Principal and the others to wait outside before arranging his clothes and walking in. He had already changed his bloodstained attire before coming, only that it was still evident to notice he was slightly injured due to his pale complexion.

Inside the Hall.

A discussion was currently ongoing between Lucas and almost twenty other figures of both genders. They were all having serious discussions when they all turned to look in the direction of the door. At the moment they turned to the door, the door was pushed open and Grey walked into the building.

He bowed as soon as he entered, greeting all the people present. Every single individual present was not just his Elder, but the aura coming from their bodies made him feel inexplicable pressure.

“You’re back.” Lucas was the first to speak.

“Yes, Father.”

“How was it?”

“I found him.”

A sharp glint flashed through Lucas’s eyes when he heard Grey say this. At the time he heard Grey rush to the Gnome World in search of a person, he felt his head ache, however, he did not feel too confident Grey would be able to locate the person he went in search of, after all, the Gnome World was very large. Even larger than the Human World. Although he did not say it, during the process of creating the God’s Tomb, he snuck into the Gnome World along with a top expert. They did not stay for long, only just coming and ensuring they could create a passage that led to the God’s Tomb from this side. If not, how else would they be able to get the Gnomes to come in from their side?

This was the reason he did not think Grey was going to find the person he went in search of, so hearing him say that he found him came as a great surprise to him.

“That’s good, your friends are currently stationed somewhere else. I will give you more information later, you can leave.”

Grey nodded, bowing once more before leaving. He had already guessed his friends were fighting busy somewhere, so hearing it from his Father, he confirmed it.

Leaving, he left a message for Klaus in their communication device; I found him.
