After Mistakenly Binding The Matchmaker System

Chapter 139

Chapter 139

Li Shu took his phone and glanced at the time. It was 1:30 AM. He turned his gaze to the person above him, his eyes filled with confusion.

The room was dark, with only a small lamp illuminating this small world. Li Shu propped himself up on the bed, trying to sit up, but before he could get up, he was easily pinned down by the merman.

Lu Xi did not speak. He merely looked at him with eyes full of unreadable emotions. After a moment of staring, Li Shu was the first to give in.

“Lu Xi, what are you trying to do?”

At the base, Li Shu had not restricted Lu Xi’s freedom much, and now that they were here, even less so. Lu Xi could move in and out of the house freely. For safety reasons, Li Shu had advised him not to expose himself.

At least not for now.

Only Li Yan knew about bringing the merman out of the base. It wasn’t that Li Shu didn’t trust the rest of the Li family, but sometimes, the fewer people who knew about certain things, the better.

Apart from the people guarding outside, only Li Shu and Lu Xi were in the house now.

“I know how to transform into legs,” Lu Xi easily restrained Li Shu’s attempt to sit up. As soon as he said this, Li Shu paused.

“What way?” Remembering the words Lin Luo had mentioned, Li Shu couldn’t help but wonder if Lu Xi was referring to another method.

Li Shu was skeptical about Lin Luo’s conclusion that “mating can turn the tail into legs”. This idea was even more bizarre than the previous claim that merfolk could make men pregnant.

Since Yasu could transform into human form after sleeping with Lin Luo, it proved that merfolk could indeed become human. That act might be a trigger, but it certainly wasn’t the decisive condition.

Clearly, the current situation was going to disappoint Li Shu. Because Lu Xi was talking about the very method Lin Luo had mentioned.

Darkness did not hinder the merman’s vision, as one could infer from their life in the deep-sea. Even now, although the room was dimly lit, it didn’t prevent Lu Xi from seeing Li Shu’s face clearly.

Having just woken up, Li Shu’s eyes were still misty, and his cheeks were flushed, lacking the coolness of the daytime and looking quite enticing.

Lu Xi’s gaze fell on Li Shu, like a large predator eyeing its prey, full of danger.

His eyes moved from Li Shu’s delicate eyebrows down to his moist lips, then to his small Adam’s apple and the exposed collarbone due to his movements…

It was as if his gaze carried flames, burning wherever it passed.

The exposed skin trembled slightly. Lu Xi made no effort to hide his thoughts. His gaze was bold and wanton, filled with the desire to devour the person before him.

He moved. One hand propped on the pillow and the other reached out to the young man before him. His hand landed on the young man’s face—it was the touch he remembered. He caressed the tender skin under his palm, enthusiastically enjoying the tremors of the body beneath him because of his actions.

“You know, I know you know.” Lu Xi’s voice was soft, with a seductive whisper at the end. He allowed himself to be immersed in the warmth given by the person in front of him.

Through a blanket, he embraced the mate he had chosen.

His body and mind were screaming madly: I want him! I want him! I want him!

Merfolk always acted on their desires. Whatever they wanted, they did. Just like how he wanted to come in the middle of the night, so he did. And now, it was the same.

The words were obvious. Li Shu wanted to escape to the side, but the person above had turned himself into shackles, trapping him in this small world and making him unable to move.

What was worse was that under the merman’s gaze, Li Shu had unconsciously begun to succumb. All his resistance was suppressed, something wild and fierce repressed any rising defiance within him. Anything unfavorable to its master was swiftly eradicated.

Merfolk were domineering creatures; once they desired something, they didn’t allow any thoughts of refusal.

No matter the circumstances.

It was as if his consciousness had fallen into a colorful swamp, floating and sinking without reaching the bottom or finding a way out.

The fish tail that was initially cold gradually warmed. The blanket between them had fallen to the floor at some point. The temperature rose, and Li Shu could no longer think clearly.

With Lu Xi’s movements, he felt like he was on a small, rocking boat in a stormy sea. He grasped the only thing he could hold onto, his fingers digging in as if trying to penetrate.

He was entangled, unable to break free, trapped in an endless sea with nowhere to cling to except for the small boat that carried him. It was his only support.

At first, it was cold, and the approaching movements made him shiver. His body was hot, and the intense heat blended with the coldness until he felt nothing but warmth. It was all hot and steaming.

Sweat trickled down his back and was gently licked away. The beautiful shoulder blades resembled a butterfly about to fly away. If you had a moment of inattention, it would fly into the sky, never to be found again.

The sudden panic made Lu Xi flustered and he lost control of his strength.

Li Shu gasped, barely regaining a bit of sanity, only to quickly be submerged again in the overwhelming tide of emotions.

The moon was especially large that night, hanging high in the sky like a jade plate, illuminating the world as bright as day.

Lin Luo didn’t sleep. He sat by the outdoor swimming pool draped in a loose coat. He couldn’t sleep because of the day’s events.

His knowledge of merfolk came from Yasu. In fact, he didn’t know much about this race. He met Yasu while traveling, was naturally attracted to him and quickly fell in love. Although they hadn’t known each other long, their feelings were intense, or so he thought.

Until he met Li Shu today.

Lin Luo was a smart child. He often saw things clearly and could quickly adjust his emotions, avoiding dead ends. This proves that he is a very rational person.

His family has never had to worry about him. He usually managed just right when dealing with people, except for Yasu.

All his irrationality was given to this person. He thought Yasu felt the same way. Even if they were different species, they could love passionately.

He thought that was the case.

His hand on the table clenched tightly. His face remained calm, but his tense body showed he was anything but calm.

How could he be calm?

“They can easily invade our minds and control our actions.” This sentence echoed in his mind like a curse, and he couldn’t ignore it even if he wanted to.

He had poured all his passion into this relationship, but now he didn’t even know if his feelings were genuine. Was his and Yasu’s relationship true love, or a one-sided farce?

Yasu came to human society with a mission. Lin Luo knew this. He also knew he shouldn’t dwell on it. When it came to Yasu, the rationality he was proud of seemed nonexistent.

“Why are you out here?”

A man’s deep voice came from behind him, and Lin Luo trembled. This was once his favorite voice, but now he didn’t want to hear it at all.

Yasu didn’t notice his lover’s odd behavior. He embraced the young master from behind, his hot breath spraying on the young master’s sensitive ear. “It’s cold outside, let’s go in.”

It was cold. Lin Luo wanted to hug himself. His heart felt like it was soaked in icy water, almost numb.

“Let’s go.”

Yasu sensed his lover’s unusual mood. However, he had little experience with humans and didn’t understand that humans often hid their feelings. If Lin Luo wouldn’t say it, Yasu would never know what troubled him.

Yasu placed his hand on the young master’s waist as usual. Yasuo paused, hesitated but finally didn’t say anything and continued to walk inside.

Perhaps everyone in love experiences this anxiety. He knew he shouldn’t dwell on it but he couldn’t control himself. He also knew the fastest solution was to ask directly and normally, he would have, but now, he hesitated.

He backed down. The usually fearless young master of the Li family became a timid coward in this matter. He was scared, and he didn’t want to face it even if there was a 1% chance it was true.

He chose to deceive himself. Leaning on Yasu, Lin Luo closed his eyes. If he didn’t ask, he could pretend their love was genuine, without any ulterior motives.

Yasu kissed the top of his little lover’s head and held him tighter in reassurance.

The next morning, Li Shu woke up in Lu Xi’s arms.

Initially groggy, Li Shu burrowed into the man’s embrace to avoid the intrusive sunlight.

“Heh.”

He heard the man’s low, magnetic laughter from above, and his sleepiness disappeared in an instant. After waking up, he couldn’t ignore the soreness in his body and became acutely aware of his current situation.

With their skin pressed together, he felt the constant warmth from the man’s body. He tried moving his legs, only to realize that what he touched was no longer smooth scales but warm skin like a human’s.

Li Shu: !!!

It had really turned into legs!

He sat up abruptly and wanted to lift the blanket for a look. But before he could move, he fell like a butterfly with broken wings. Lu Xi quickly caught him, preventing further injury.

“Be careful!”

Carefully holding the person in his arms, Lu Xi glanced at the marks on Li Shu’s body, then looked away uncomfortably. He quickly turned back, his eyes full of distress, but the tips of his ears slowly turned red.

Li Shu’s face was pale from the pain. His entire body felt like it was on strike, his limbs weak and powerless. If it weren’t for Lu Xi supporting him, he wouldn’t have been able to maintain his current position.

But the person who was looking at him with such a distressed expression was the very culprit behind his current state. Li Shu now had mixed emotions.

Leaning against the man sitting up, Li Shu struggled to support himself and moved back a little. Now he could see Lu Xi’s appearance clearly. Besides those crimson eyes, Lu Xi no longer had any characteristics of a siren.

Lu Xi’s hand was still on Li Shu’s waist. Dissatisfied with the sudden distance Li Shu had created, he pressed his hand down and easily closed the gap again.

Li Shu was unprepared, and Lu Xi succeeded effortlessly. The inertia brought him even closer to Lu Xi.

“Lu Xi!” Li Shu scolded in a low voice. His voice was hoarse, and he hadn’t realized just how hoarse it had become until he spoke.

Suddenly, Li Shu’s expression changed. Because their skin was touching, he could feel a certain change in Lu Xi clearly.

This man was simply…
