After the Full-Level Boss Entered the Infinite Game By Mistake

Chapter 713

Chapter 713

At Emil’s persistent pleading, Bai Lixin reluctantly agreed to share a room with him.

Bai Lixin had never imagined that the proud and aloof Emil could talk so much.

“Bai Lixin, what do you think is the origin of that snake demon?”

“All those believers were eaten, all eaten! Wouldn’t their families report them missing?”

“Will there be a missing persons case soon?”

“What about before? Were there other people sacrificed like me? Were they all eaten too?”

“Bai Lixin, am I going to die?”

Bai Lixin wanted to cover his head with the blanket. “No.”

Emil: “If I make it out of this alive, I swear I’ll be a better person and never act like a big shot again.”

“That master you called, are they reliable? I’m Emil, after all, world-renowned Emil! Yet she abandoned me just to have some alone time with a man? What kind of man could be more attractive than me?”

“Do you think it would be rude if I showed up empty-handed? What should I bring?”

“Wine? Luxury goods? Flowers? Or maybe just cash?”

“Forget it, saving my life is more important. Let’s just go straight to her and ask for help. Time is life.”

“Why am I so unlucky, getting dragged into something like this?”

Bai Lixin: “…”

‘Why am I so unlucky to have to share a roof with such a chatterbox?’

“Can you shut up?” Bai Lixin’s temples throbbed. “It’s almost midnight, and we have filming early tomorrow.”

Emil turned over and looked at Bai Lixin in the next bed. “I’m really not in the mood to film. I might have a lot of NGs tomorrow, so please bear with me.”

“No, it should be you who bears with me. I’ll probably have a lot of NGs, too.”

Emil tilted his head. “Why? Are you also afraid of that snake demon?”

Bai Lixin: “I’m afraid of water…”

Emil: “…”

The next day, the director looked at his two dejected leads, who seemed burdened with endless woes.

“You two…” The director searched for the right words. “Did you both have nightmares last night?”

Bai Lixin shook his head.

The director was about to breathe a sigh of relief when Bai Lixin spoke slowly, “But soon, my nightmare will start. I’m afraid of water.”

Director: “…”

‘This isn’t just your nightmare, it’s now mine as well.’

To capture the essence of the jungle scenes, lighting in the forest was crucial.

A slight haze hung in the woods, and sunlight filtered through the gaps in the leaves, creating beams of light. The entire forest took on the atmosphere of an enchanted woodland, making it the perfect time to shoot.

The director decided to film Emil’s scenes first.

Bai Lixin stood alone by the lake, mentally preparing himself as he looked at the water.

The director had explained that the lake wasn’t deep, and Bai Lixin would only be filming at the lake’s edge. The height of the place was such that Bai Lixin’s feet could touch the bottom of the lake

They would shoot from the side to create the impression that Bai Lixin was in the middle of a deep lake.

Since his character was an elf, Bai Lixin had to undergo some makeup.

After more than an hour in makeup, Emil’s scenes were finished, leaving only the final shot of the two of them by the lake.

“Don’t worry, everyone here will be watching you, and if anything seems wrong, we’ll pull you out right away.”

The director noticed Bai Lixin’s fear. Although he was even more frightened, he forced himself to reassure his actor.

Bai Lixin was still steeling himself, and was showing no intention of stepping into the water.

While they were caught in this tense standoff, a car slowly drove into the private woods.

A person got out of the car.

The moment everyone saw this person, they immediately became respectful.

Bai Lixin’s brow furrowed slightly.

It was Xuan Chishui.

Why was he here? Sun Ning had said he wouldn’t supervise such a small advertisement shoot.

The director was exchanging pleasantries with Xuan Chishui, but Xuan Chishui’s eyes slipped past the director’s shoulder and landed on Bai Lixin.

Bai Lixin’s muscles tensed instinctively; he couldn’t shake the feeling that there was a hint of malice in Xuan Chishui’s gaze.

Xuan Chishui raised his hand, interrupting the director’s small talk, then turned to retrieve a large bouquet of roses from his car and walked straight toward Bai Lixin.

Under everyone’s shocked stares, Xuan Chishui offered the flowers to Bai Lixin in a gentlemanly manner. “Thank you for your hard work these past few days, Xin Xin. May I call you that?”

Bai Lixin: “…”

The people around them kept glancing back and forth between Bai Lixin and Xuan Chishui.

‘Xin Xin?’

An ambiguous atmosphere began to spread around the two.

Bai Lixin only felt terrified.

He took a big step back, forgetting he was at the edge of the lake, and one foot plunged into the icy water.

A flash of panic appeared in Xuan Chishui’s eyes. Seeing the other party reaching out to pull him up, Bai Lixin shouted at the director, “Director, you can start shooting!”

Compared with the water, he seemed to be more afraid of Xuan Chishui.

Xuan Chishui’s eyes darkened as he stared at Bai Lixin in the lake, then he turned and sat on a nearby chair, still holding the bouquet.

The director didn’t know what to say, so he quickly signaled the crew to set up the camera to shoot.

With Xuan Chishui’s hunter-like sharp gaze fixed on him, Bai Lixin found it difficult to adjust his emotions.

He shot take after take, but he kept getting NGs.

The lake water was freezing, and Bai Lixin was shivering uncontrollably.

With Xuan Chishui’s presence, the director was hesitant to scold Bai Lixin, so he could only plead with the young man in the water, “Try again with that seductive look of a siren. If you can nail it, we can wrap this up in one take.”

‘Otherwise, you’d be stuck in the cold water, and President Xuan might lose his temper due to distress.’

Bai Lixin’s lips trembled from the cold.

He was freezing.

He barely registered the director’s words.

It was cold, so cold.

Suddenly, a sharp pain shot through his leg, and he stumbled in the lake. If he hadn’t braced himself against the edge, he would have fallen into the water.

Had his leg cramped?

Bai Lixin looked at the director in pain, but the director wasn’t paying attention to him.

As he turned his gaze, he locked eyes with Xuan Chishui.

He opened his mouth, trying to call out for help, but the red-haired man continued to watch him with that terrifying look, his eyes filled with disdain and contempt, as if he were a superior being calmly witnessing the suffering and death of someone beneath him.

The surrounding sounds gradually grew numb.

Just as he was about to lose consciousness, a warm stream of water enveloped his numb leg.

The water flowed upward, coiling around his waist, slipping down his tailbone, and easily finding the soft flesh of his body.

He couldn’t believe that the stream of water would dare to do such a thing in front of everyone. Just as he tried to resist, a rush of warm water flowed along and filled his limbs and torso, restoring feeling to his frozen body.

The director’s eyes suddenly lit up. “Bai Lixin, yes, that’s the expression!”

“Everyone, get ready! Nobleman, prepare!”

“Scene twelve, take five, action!”

The water flowed in and out of his body.

Bai Lixin tried to focus on Emil in front of him.

—The elf in the water revealed an innocent yet alluring smile, entrancing the dazed noble walking on the edge of the shore.

—The elf swam forward and reached out with two slender arms.

—The noble let the elf wrap his arms around his neck and inhaled the enchanting scent emanating from him, his gaze mesmerized and entranced.

—The elf bared his sharp fangs and bit into the noble’s neck, dragging him into the water.

“Good! Good! Good!” The director finally shouted in satisfaction, repeating “Good!” three times in a row. “Bai Lixin, you finally got it right. That was an amazing performance!”

“This ad is definitely going to make you famous!”

Emil: “Is it over, Director?”

Director: “I don’t think we’ll get a better take than that. Let’s wrap up.”

The agent hurried over with a towel, and Bai Lixin felt the water inside his body slowly withdraw and he climbed out of the lake.

Xuan Chishui continued to watch Bai Lixin in silence, his thoughts unreadable.

Emil stood beside the director and pressed him for confirmation, “Did we finish all the scenes?”

The director reviewed the script carefully. “Yes, we’re done. It’s a wrap. Thank you for your hard work these past three days. Mr. Emil, if you’re free, we could—”

But Emil had already rushed off after Bai Lixin without looking back.

Director: “…”

‘What is going on? Is Bai Lixin really some kind of siren? One by one, they are all drawn to him.’

The agent had driven a nanny car, and as soon as Bai Lixin got in, he immediately handed him a change of clothes. “The heater’s on in the car. Take off those wet clothes and put these on, don’t catch a cold. I’ll step out so you can change.”

When Bai Lixin had finished changing and got out of the car, Emil was already waiting impatiently. He grabbed Bai Lixin and pulled him toward his own car.

Bai Lixin stumbled, and a large hand immediately reached out to steady his arm.

Bai Lixin regained his balance. “Thank you.”

“You’re welcome,” a cool voice responded. Bai Lixin was startled and he looked up. It turned out to be Xuan Chishui.

He subconsciously pushed Xuan Chishui away and took two steps back.

Xuan Chishui raised an eyebrow at Bai Lixin’s reaction. “You seem afraid of me?”

Bai Lixin: “No, you misunderstood.”

Xuan Chishui: “If not, then accept these flowers I prepared for you. Congratulations on finishing the shoot.”

Bai Lixin looked at the large bouquet of roses being handed to him, feeling an indescribable strangeness.

Xuan Chishui’s gaze remained fixed on him, as if he would stay there indefinitely unless Bai Lixin took the flowers.

Bai Lixin had no choice but to accept them. “Thank you, President Xuan.”

“There’s no need to be so formal,” Xuan Chishui’s expression softened and he gently stroked Bai Lixin’s damp hair. “As long as you like them. See you next time.”

As Xuan Chishui’s hand lingered on his head, Bai Lixin’s whole body broke out in goosebumps and he fought the urge to push Xuan Chishui away and run.

Even after Emil came to the rescue and pulled him into the car, Bai Lixin was still in shock.

He couldn’t understand why he felt this way. He had only met Xuan Chishui twice, so why was he so afraid of him?

Xuan Chishui hadn’t even done anything to him, it was as if he naturally feared this person.

By the time they reached Bihai Bay, it was already dark.

As soon as the car stopped, Emil hurriedly got out, and from a distance, Bai Lixin could see Song Yuantian’s border collie wagging its tail, tied up by the gate.

As they got closer, the border collie sniffed around Emil’s feet and suddenly started barking furiously.

It was exactly like how it had barked at him in the past.

Emil was startled and hid behind Bai Lixin. “Oh man, what kind of scary creature is this, so aggressive!”

Bai Lixin: “It’s a border collie. Don’t you recognize it?”

Emil: “Of course I know. But who keeps such a fierce dog though? It’s terrifying. And did it just pee? Hahaha, that’s hilarious! Is this dog an idiot?”

Bai Lixin rolled his eyes.

‘The scary one here is probably you. Is there a chance you’re the one who scared it into peeing?’
