“*Ahem…* Well, Zhiyi, let’s focus on the task at hand. We need to find the Array Core first.” Qin Yichen scratched his head awkwardly, coughed, and said.

“Brother Yichen, with so many Arrays overlapping each other, how can we find the Array Core?” Gongshu Zhiyi scanned their surroundings, finally pouting with a sulky expression as she looked at Qin Yichen. Qin Yichen attempted to use his Spiritual Energy to observe the Grand Array, but ultimately discovered with frustration that, perhaps because of the Spirit Sea, his Spiritual Energy was being firmly being suppressed. It was only limited to about a metre from his body.

*Boom!* Just as Qin Yichen was carefully examining the Grand Array, a brilliant light suddenly appeared above his head. Then, a huge beam of light swept down, carrying surging World Energy, striking toward Qin Yichen and Gongshu Zhiyi at lightning speed.

“Zhiyi, be careful!” Qin Yichen shouted, pulling her into his embrace. He had barely made this move, with no time to dodge.

That was when the beam of World Energy struck him hard on his back.

*Bang!* The beam exploded, causing Qin Yichen to stagger forward a step. The Yuan Energy on his back dimmed slightly from the blast, until Qin Yichen channelled it again, once more being enveloped by what looked like transparent flames of Yuan Energy.

“Agh….” The pain from his back made Qin Yichen grimace involuntarily. This attack was equivalent to a strike from an Early Stage Martial King! Although his physical body could withstand such attacks without much harm, the pain was unavoidable.

*Boom! Boom!* As the first beam exploded, more terrifying beams began to gather above the Grand Array.

“These beams…” Qin Yichen frowned, discovering with some trepidation that these beams seemed to be locked onto him, not Gongshu Zhiyi.

To confirm this, after releasing Gongshu Zhiyi, Qin Yichen sidestepped about ten meters to the right.

“Supreme Elder, is there any way to stop the trial?” Beside him, the Second Elder asked anxiously. Gongshu Zhiyi had grown up under his watch, and he had long regarded her as his own Granddaughter.

Following the Second Elder’s words, countless gazes quickly shot toward Gongshu Cangyu, all eager to know the answer.

Faced with the many heated gazes, Gongshu Cangyu sighed, shook his head, and said. “At this point, we can only place our hopes on them.”
