Chapter 916: Chapter 343: Negotiation and Search
"What?"
Qiu Yingyue was taken aback after hearing Lin Wu’s words and stood up abruptly.
A cargo ship?
She immediately recalled something and asked, "Is there anyone on the cargo ship?"
Lin Wu shook his head, "I don’t know, it’s a bit far away. But I guess there must be someone; otherwise, this cargo ship would have gotten stuck somewhere long ago, how could it have drifted to the front gate of Lishui Garden?"
Without a word, Qiu Yingyue immediately said, "To the rooftop!"
Lin Wu quickly nodded, was about to leave, then suddenly thought of something and asked, "Sister Qiu, what about the black market deal?"
"Pause it for now, let them all go home."
"Understood."
Qiu Yingyue quickly went upstairs to the rooftop.
The rooftop was full of various plants, even crops like sweet potatoes.
Evidently, they survived on these.
Apart from these crops, there were also many patrol members at the edge of the rooftop.
At this moment, all the patrol members had gathered on the west side of the building, gazing at the distant floodwaters.
Everyone appeared excited, pointing and discussing among themselves.
Suddenly, someone shouted, "Sister Qiu is here."
Everyone hurried to make way and turned to look at Qiu Yingyue.
Qiu Yingyue, leading Lin Wu, and Qin Zihang, who had appeared out of nowhere, quickly reached the edge of the rooftop.
Qiu Yingyue asked, "Who spotted it first?"
A young man raised his hand and said, "Sister Qiu, it was me. I thought it was some mutant fish at first, just a small white dot."
"But I noticed it was swimming towards us in a regular pattern, realized something was off, and immediately used the telescope to take a look, only to discover it was a cargo ship."
The telescope was indeed hanging from the young man’s neck.
It seemed to be outdoor equipment purchased from a Decathlon store.
Without hesitating, Qiu Yingyue said, "Give me the telescope."
Without delay, the young man took down the telescope and handed it to Qiu Yingyue.
Qiu Yingyue immediately fitted the telescope to her eyes and looked toward the water surface.
Through the telescope’s view, she quickly spotted the ship.
It was a red and white cargo ship, but above the ship’s cabin, two five-story bamboo houses were constructed side by side.
The bamboo house was bustling with people, mostly men in the left bamboo house.
In the right bamboo house, all were women.
She moved the telescope and quickly noticed the flag hanging at the bow of the ship.
The white flag was embroidered with blue patterns representing water waves.
Above the waves, three mountain peaks connected, forming the shape of the character ’Mountain’.
In the upper right corner of the peaks, there was a circular orange-red sun.
Qiu Yingyue was momentarily stunned, recalling that she had never seen such a flag before.
She had not heard of such a flag within Huaxia’s borders either.
Logically, most ships should fly a national flag; they shouldn’t design their own flag to hoist.
"It’s not an official ship!"
Qiu Yingyue immediately realized this, her expression carrying a hint of caution, as she looked towards the deck of the cargo ship.
The deck was also populated, with patrol members filling the bow and stern.
Though unable to clearly see these people’s appearances, just from their statures, it was evident they were a group of vigorous and confident individuals.
Qiu Yingyue became even more vigilant.
This was a group not easy to mess with!
She tried to adjust the focus, aiming to see these people clearly.
As she moved the telescope, she saw a pavilion.
Inside the pavilion stood several people; the leader was likely a man standing at the table, seemingly observing something.
Beside him, someone seemed to be explaining something.
As the focus lengthened, Qiu Yingyue gradually made out the man’s features.
His features were well-defined, his visage above average, but his demeanor carried the authority of a leader, not to be offended.
He looked to be about twenty-five or six years old, yet exuded a mature aura.
This aura Qiu Yingyue had seen in her father before.
This was the traits of a leader of a prominent force!
"This man is the boss of this cargo ship!"
Qiu Yingyue immediately concluded.
Just as she was about to continue observing, the man listening to someone beside him suddenly lifted his head and looked in her direction.
Qiu Yingyue was startled, subconsciously taking down the telescope.
Then she froze momentarily, puzzled, "It’s impossible, at such a distance, how could he possibly detect me?"
Thinking of this, she picked up the telescope again.
Yet through the lens, the man was also looking at her!
As their eyes met, her heart instantly pounded.
He could definitely sense her presence!
Immediately, she saw the man through the lens suddenly grin at her.
Qiu Yingyue quickly stepped back, her expression full of shock.
"Can he really see me?"
Removing the telescope, she stared incredulously at the cargo ship several hundred meters away.
At this time, Lin Wu had unknowingly found another telescope, exclaiming after watching for a while.
"No, I recognize this cargo ship!"
His words immediately startled Qiu Yingyue.
"Lin Wu, what did you say?" Qiu Yingyue quickly asked.
Even Qin Zihang and the others turned to look.
Lin Wu excitedly said, "Sister Qiu, look at the stern of the ship. Isn’t there a scratch where the red paint is applied?"
Hearing this, Qiu Yingyue quickly looked over.
Qin Zihang also picked up the telescope for a look.
Lin Wu took a deep breath and said, "Do you remember the time we fought for the ship at Linjiang University?"
"At that time, the woman with fingers that could shoot lasers almost pierced me through."
"Beside her was a dark-skinned Strength Type woman wielding a mountain axe."
