Chapter 2090: My Silly Little Girl
Chapter 2090: My Silly Little Girl
Tang Shaoyang stood by the bed until morning. Ava and Li Shuang woke up first. They were surprised to see him, but he gestured to them to stay still, not to wake up the three little girls. Both said nothing stayed in bed, but they were awake.
The first one to wake up between the three little girls was Tang Xiulan. She seemed to feel her mother’s movement and opened her eyes drowsily.
She woke up right facing Tang Shaoyang, or it was more like Tang Shaoyang positioned himself that way so he could look at his daughter’s face.
Tang Xiulan caught a glimpse of the familiar silhouette, and her eyes went wide. She stood up and jumped toward her father. With her current stat that kept increasing naturally, the jump was not a surprise for Tang Shaoyang.
He caught her daughter, embracing her on his chest while putting her cheek on his cheek while caressing her back. At first, she didn’t say anything until she cried. Maybe she didn’t know what to say, so she expressed her feelings by crying.
The high-pitched cry immediately woke up Li Yue and Li Jiaying. Both were startled and immediately looked around. The moment they spotted Tang Shaoyang, they also jumped off the bed and ran toward him.
Li Yue hugged his left leg, and Li Jiaying hugged his right leg. Both also joined with their little sister to cry as well. The quiet room filled with their cries.
Tang Xiulan was holding his neck tightly so that even when he didn’t hold her, she was hanging there. He picked Li Yue and Li Jiaying. At that same time, Tang Xiulan managed to wriggle and climb to the back of his head. She was sitting on the back of his neck, holding his head tightly while crying. He could feel his hair starting to get wet from her tears.
"Yosh... Yosh... Yosh..."
Ava and Li Shuang got out of bed with a relieved smile. They said nothing and approached Tang Shaoyang, giving her a kiss on his cheek before leaving him alone with his daughters.
He let them cry it out, and it didn’t really last that long. After a little bit more than a minute, Tang Xiulan was the first one to stop crying.
"Whe... where were you, Daddy? W-why weren’t they coming back with us?" Tang Xiulan asked while still sobbing, "W-we thought the baddies hurt you..."
"Uhmmm... Uhmm..." Li Yue and Li Jiaying nodded, agreeing with their little sister.
Tang Shaoyang finally was able to let out a genuine smile of relief and happiness, and it also came with a surprise. He was relieved that his daughter was fine. Getting frozen didn’t really change them drastically. It didn’t give them an extreme trauma that changed them. Of course, he needed more time to confirm it, but it looked good for now.
He was happy because they were concerned for him, which he didn’t think would come from the three little girls. It was truly unexpected that they were concerned for him.
The surprise was coming for Li Yue and Li Jiaying. Li Yue was actually his sister-in-law in status. She was Li Na’s little sister, but he treated her as a daughter. Li Jiaying was his daughter, but not in blood. However, he regarded her as his own.
There was this concern in his head that they might think the same about him. The thought was there, but he never shared it with anyone, keeping it to himself. The doubt was gone now as this confirmed that they regarded him as their father.
"Ah, about that... Daddy must punish the baddies for what they did, no? They almost hurt you and the animal. So yeah... Daddy was chasing the baddies and punishing them. Daddy makes sure that they will not misbehave anymore."
Tang Shaoyang answered while making a solemn face that looked like a teacher who punished his students. Of course, he was not going to tell them about the killing.
Tang Xiulan’s reaction was unexpected. She pulled his hair excitedly while raising her right hand, "That’s right! They deserve to be punished!" Then her voice toned down a little bit and asked in a low voice, "Can you tell us what you did to the baddies?"
"Hmmm..." He pretended to consider it as he made his way out of the bedroom. Glodden and the three little dragons followed them in the air.
"I will consider telling you after you brush your teeth."
He could smell that breakfast was ready. The smell came from the other room. He brought them to the bathroom, brushing their teeth together, and helped them wash their faces.
Tang Xiulan, Li Yue, and Li Jiaying’s faces were covered with snot and tears. They really did cry a lot. It was hard to see the change in Tang Xiulan’s eyes because she inherited his violet eyes. The same with his eye color before he went through the last bloodline advancement.
However, Li Yue and Li Jiaying’s eyes totally went red from crying so hard. He helped them and had breakfast together with their mothers. Of course, he didn’t tell them what he did to the baddies. They also seemed to forget about it after playing with water with him.
"I don’t want to go to school! I want to stay and play with you today! All day!" Tang Xiulan slammed the table and almost climbed the table while raising the fork in her hand.
Of course, as a former queen herself, Ava immediately scolded her daughter. It was improper of her to try to climb the table.
She didn’t climb on the table, but she stood up on her chair, "I don’t want to go to school!"
"Alright... Alright... We will play all day today, tomorrow, and the day after tomorrow. However, you have to plan it because Daddy doesn’t know what to do."
Tang Xiulan cheered loudly, waving her fork when her father agreed with her not going to school. Li Yue and Li Jiaying didn’t openly cheer like their little sister, but they secretly cheered among themselves. One was hiding it from her big sister, and the second tried to hide it from her mother. They all looked adorable.
Tang Shaoyang received a glare from Ava. She didn’t know anything about the three-day thing, so she glared at him for agreeing and even agreeing to two more days off.
Once they stopped the cheers, Tang Xiulan panicked all of a sudden. She turned toward her big sister with a troubled look, "I don’t know how to make a plan... Help me..." She took these three days off very seriously based on her reaction.
Xiulan put her fork down and jumped off the chair, rushing toward her eldest sister, Jiaying.
"My silly little girl..." Tang Shaoyang chuckled while looking at this. This scene gave him an unexpected warmth that truly calmed him down, making him forget his problem and concern at the moment.
