Chapter 2108: Jackals
Chapter 2108: Jackals
The Bloodshadow Pavilion was more like a bandit lair than an actual faction. All their members had something wrong with their heads. All kinds of disgusting things happened here. They kidnapped women for their pleasure, enslaving the people with low cultivation; even the ordinary people were not spared by them.
They even had a place, a hole where they would throw the dead bodies. A dumping ground, but instead of trash, they disposed of the dead bodies in this hell. The smell was unpleasant even for someone like Tang Shaoyang. He ended up burning those dead bodies, freed the slaves and the women, and wiped out everyone in the Bloodshadow Pavilion.
As Tang Shaoyang planned, they were waiting in what remained of the Bloodshadow Pavilion. As he expected, the person, or maybe a group behind the attack on the Yang Clan, sent their people to check up on the Bloodshadow Pavilion.
First, they sent a group of 1st-Stage Immortal Emperors with one 7th-Stage Immortal Emperor as the leader. They could not even entertain the bored Jet and Zephyr. The two birds killed them at sight and got over it quickly.
They sent three more groups separately, and they were stronger than the previous group. However, the strongest individual was a 6th-Stage God Realm. Again, it took Jet less than a minute to finish him off. It seemed like the 6th-Stage God Realm was equal to the newly promoted God Rank.
That was Jet’s opinion after fighting that person, but Vandir and the others had a different opinion. In their eyes, that was still the same as a Demi-God Rank.
That was right, Tang Shaoyang was having a discussion with his spirit about the cultivation rank and the standard rank. Even with Ouyang Biya’s help, they still could not figure it out. But one thing was sure: the True God Realm was equal to the God Rank.
Ouyang Biya was a True God Realm until Vandir defeated her. She was still in the early stage of the True God Realm back then. However, she felt like she was at the late stage of the True God Realm after the Spirit Advancement by Tang Shaoyang. She was unsure of the exact stage, but she felt that way with his newly found strength.
"They have sent four groups already, shouldn’t their boss come to check the situation?" Nikolas sounded bored, sitting on the broken wall while swinging his legs. They had been here for an hour, Tang Shaoyang and his spirits.
Liang Suyin and the others stayed in the Yang Clan’s territory. He could not bring them since he switched places with Jet and re-summoned the spirits with him. He didn’t need to worry about their safety when Avyn and Zara were with them.
On top of that, they needed to learn more about cultivation. Even though the Yang Clan was not a distinguished clan, they had the fundamental and basic knowledge about cultivation. They could start learning from there.
"That’s not going to happen, Grandfather. They will send a bigger and stronger group, or they will stop sending their people, giving up to find out what happened to the Bloodshadow Pavilion," Mathias answered. He was leaning against the same wall, right below his grandfather, with his hand crossed on his chest.
"I am leaning toward the second scenario. The Bloodshadow Pavilion looks like a group of bandits instead of a properly nurtured force. I don’t think they are that important for the boss to come, and it’s actually better that way. We can remain hidden this way."
Mathias’ prediction came true, his first prediction, where a bigger and stronger group approached what remained of the Bloodshadow Pavilion. This group was smarter than the previous group. Instead of charging into the Bloodshadow Pavilion, they split into four groups.
The first group charged toward the front entrance, two groups moved to the flank, and the last group stayed at a safe distance.
The first group comprised twenty people, and they were shocked to find out what happened with the Bloodshadow Pavilion. Not just the wall was destroyed, but the buildings were leveled. The high pavilion at the center was no longer, but there was no body.
"Isn’t it time for you to send the True God Realm at this point? Why would your superior keep sending the God Realm?" Nikolas showed up in front of the group, who were currently looking around.
They were shocked by the voice, and they took out their weapons right away, ready for the battle. This group was certainly more experienced than the previous group. However, as Nikolas said, the strongest among them was the 9th-Stage God Realm. There was no True God Realm.
"Who are you? Why are you destroying the Bloodshadow Pavilion?" The leader of the group, the 9th-Stage God Realm, questioned Nikolas.
"Hmmm..." Nikolas rubbed his chin, "Let’s say the Bloodshadow Pavilion is poking something they should not poke, and they paid the price for that."
"Do you know that the Bloodshadow Pavilion belongs to the Heaven Founder?"
Nikolas chuckled, "Do I look like someone who cares who the Bloodshadow Pavilion belongs to?"
He then flicked his finger, creating a loud flicking sound. That startled the group, and they thought they would be attacked. However, instead of getting attacked, bodies started to fall from the air. That was not the body of the Bloodshadow Pavilion’s members, but their friends.
Sixty bodies fell on them, and they were the flanking groups and the group that stayed behind. It shocked them that their friends were killed. The thing that got them the most was how fast their friends were killed. It had not even two minutes passed since they entered through the front entrance, and they were within that time.
"Leave and..." Nikolas paused, and the suspense instilled fear in them. They didn’t know what killed their friends, but whatever killed their friends, they would not be able to escape the same fate if they were attacked.
"I thought of killing you all and leaving three people alive, but more witnesses are better. That way the story is more convincing, no?" Nikolas smiled, "Leave and report to your superior not to come or send people to this place ever again!"
"Scram now before I change my mind!"
The group turned around and escaped with no hesitation. They lost the majority of the people, but their mission was considered a success. They came not to kill whoever destroyed the Bloodshadow Pavilion, but to find out what happened with the Bloodshadow Pavilion, and for information. They had successfully obtained the information, albeit incomplete.

Guardian Quan listened to the full report on what happened from the group who returned from the Bloodshadow Pavilion. He was angered by the fact that he lost so many people just to check on the Bloodshadow Pavilion.
The worst came after that; his people ran away and brought this shameful report to him. What angered him further was the fact that they brought back useless information. The information didn’t help him in any way, like who were they? Their origin? Why are they in the Heaven Founder’s territory?
The only useful information was about his people’s lives. The fact that they could slaughter his people in less than two minutes revealed their strength. It meant a few True God Realms were attacking the Bloodshadow Pavilion.
There was nothing his people could do in that case. But that didn’t ease his anger. He rose from his seat, a sword energy formed in his hand, and cut off ten people’s heads.
"I will see myself who dares to wreak havoc in our territory!"
Of course, he didn’t plan on going by himself. He would bring a few Elders to check these mysterious people with the excuse that a hidden force had shown up in their territory. With their grand plan reaching the crucial timing, they could not afford to leave a hidden force with the True God Realm unchecked. They could not leave this unpredictable variable in their territory.

Gianni and Mathias appeared next to Nikolas after the group left, "Do you think that will work?" Gianni asked.
It was Nikolas’ plan, not killing all of them and sending them back to report what happened here, hoping the mastermind would come out. Or at least, they would send the True God Realm on them. That was the plan if it went accordingly, as Nikolas imagined.
"I don’t think it will work. They will think we have a few True God Realms to wipe their people so quickly like that. Considering the strongest Guardian is at the 5th-Stage True God Realm, they are not going to waste their manpower on us." Mathias voiced his doubt.
They came before the Heaven Founder executed their grand plan. It meant they were still in the preparation phase. They would not send the True God Realm to check this remote place.
"Or they might consider us as a hidden force that could become a threat to their plan. They will send those Guardians to get rid of us," Nikolas added.
"We are not going to kill those Guardians," Tang Shaoyang listened to the conversation and interfered when he heard what Nikolas said.
"If we kill the Guardians, that will delay their grand plan, and that will disturb our plan. We don’t want to delay the war. We want the war to happen."
Tang Shaoyang yawned; he also got bored while waiting for these people. The leader didn’t come, but they had confirmed who the person behind the Bloodshadow Pavilion was.
Ouyang Biya had recognized the last group that Nikolas let escape. They were a private force under the Beast Guardian, one of the 12 Guardians in the Heaven Founder, Guardian Quan. She mentioned how this Guardian Quan disliked her.
The moment Tang Shaoyang found out the mastermind was a guardian, he changed his mind to kill this person. The Heaven Founder would have to delay their plan if they lost another guardian.
Based on Ouyang Biya’s story, the Heaven Founder should have started their plan. But the Heaven Founder hadn’t made their move yet. It seemed they delayed the plan because of her death.
"We are done here. Zara has the solution to keep the Yang Clan safe. We don’t want to escalate the conflict with the Heaven Founder now. We wanted them in their full force to make things go our way. We are Jackals now. We need to be more patience. This is not the time."
