Chapter 2131: Ice Pavilion

Bing Lianxin had not recovered from what happened, and now she experienced another shock. She didn’t know what happened, but everything was surreal for her.

The sky disappeared and was replaced with a black void. Not just the sky, but the surroundings as well. The mountain that was visible from her sect was no longer in sight. It was just a pitch-black void.

A panic ensued among the disciples of the Ice Palace. The attack already destroyed them mentally, and now they faced something like this. It was even scarier than the Heaven Founder’s attack.

Bing Lianxin snapped from his shock and snapped at Tang Shaoyang.

"What’s the meaning of this?"

"Do I have to explain everything for you to understand?" Tang Shaoyang shook his head, "Your priority is kinda messed up all the time."

He pointed at Ouyang Biya and Han Taiyang, who were working together to undo the trap on the Palace Mistress and Elders.

"You should help them figure out the trap instead of questioning something useless. We are on the same side right now. You don’t need to be suspicious of me since you are part of the Thousand Vows Pavilion."

Bing Lianxin wanted to refute him, wanting to press for an answer. Again, he was right to prioritize saving the disciples of the Ice Palace. Not just the trapped Palace Mistress and Elders, but the wounded disciples as well.

"Don’t need to worry about the wounded disciples. My people are on the way to save them."

He was talking about the Yang Clan’s people with Yu and Kate. Zara moved the Ice Palace next to the Yang Clan, connecting the two lands with a bridge. Yu and Kate should be on the way by now.

"But I need to tell them your people are not enemies to avoid misunderstanding."

Tang Shaoyang didn’t stop her this time, allowing her to leave. It didn’t take long for her to return.

"The trap is just restraining their movement and sealing their internal energy, but it poses no actual danger to them. However, it’s going to take a while to undo the trap."

Han Taiyang said after taking a look at the trap formation. He beat Ouyang Biya, who was still analyzing the formation.

Bing Lianxin overheard the conversation and decided to take a look at the formation. She knew one or two about formation, but she was far from an expert. The moment she checked the formation, she knew this was beyond her capability.

"What about you? Do you know something?" Tang Shaoyang asked Ouyang Biya. She was once part of the Heaven Founder and might know something about this formation.

Ouyang Biya shook her head, "I dedicated my life to cultivation, so I don’t really know about formation."

"I thought you knew something since you are so engrossed in it."

"I don’t have a deep knowledge of formation, but I thought I had seen this formation somewhere else before. I was trying to recall where I had seen it." Ouyang Biya felt familiar with the formation, but she didn’t remember. She was sure she had seen a similar formation briefly, but could not remember.

"You guys are making me look, but in front of our new friends. Tell me where the energy that is used to power the formation is!"

Tang Shaoyang looked at the massive formation with Chaos Eyes. He found the thing that powered the formation before they could answer him.

There were twenty glowing stones, and if he was not wrong, they were called Spirit Stones. It was a stone that contained energy and was often used as currency, in cultivation, and for formation.

"You can’t destroy them!" Han Taiyang was quickly aware of what his Master tried to do and called out, "You can’t carelessly destroy them, or the formation will explode and kill those who are trapped."

Tang Shaoyang waved his hand at Han Taiyang as he created twenty Chaos Blades. Each of them was pointing at the glowing spirit stone.

He knew something might happen if the power source was destroyed. The one who made this formation would not want to let such a flaw in the formation for sure. However, he had his way to prevent that explosion.

"Stay still and watch!"

Tang Shaoyang imbued the Chaos Blade with his Absolute Domination Energy. If the Spirit Stone contained stronger energy, he would not try this, but that was not the case. His Absolute Domination Energy should be able to neutralize the energy inside the spirit stone easily.

Bing Lianxin was the one who should be worried by Tang Shaoyang’s reckless action, not Han Taiyang. However, for some reason, she trusted him and allowed him to do it.

The twenty Chaos Blades pierced the spirit stone at the same time. Han Taiyang created a defensive formation to contain the explosion. He intended to contain the explosion inside the barrier.

He was waiting for the explosion, but it did not happen. The scenario that played in his head didn’t happen. The formation broke apart with no energy to power it up.

His jaw dropped as his head didn’t understand what happened. This was not supposed to happen, yet it happened. He was having a hard time proceeding with the situation and forgot to cancel his defensive formation.

Tang Shaoyang found Han Taiyang’s expression funny. He created another chaos blade and broke the defensive formation with a single stab.

As he expected, Han Taiyang slowly turned toward him while she was getting even more shocked. The Golden Sun Sovereign created a defensive formation that was strong enough to contain the explosion, yet it broke apart with a single strike.

The Palace Mistress and the Elders were freed from the trap and slowly regained their strength and internal energy.

"As per my agreement with your Grand Elder Bing Lianxin to save you all. From today onward, the Ice Palace will be part of the Thousand Vows Pavilion and become an Ice Pavilion. It doesn’t have to be an Ice Pavilion, in case you think of a better name."

"This might be too soon after what you have experienced, but I need your oath to make things official."

Palace Mistress Bing Ruohan got back on her feet, followed by the others. They were trapped, but they overheard Tang Shaoyang and Bing Lianxin’s conversation before they disappeared.

"I have confirmed his ties with the Thousand Vows Pavilion. With our current situation, I have no choice but to take up his offer." Bing Lianxin came over and confirmed the deal between her and Tang Shaoyang.

"What if we refuse to take the oath? This is an agreement between you and Grand Elder Bing Lianxin without considering our voice in the matter!" Grand Elder Bing Ruyan immediately voiced her thoughts.

The Ice Palace was no different than her family. She would not easily accept that the Ice Palace had to disappear.

"Your opinion doesn’t matter since it has been decided. It doesn’t matter if you don’t want to join as well. I can make you all disappear and place her as the new leader for the Ice Pavilion," Tang Shaoyang pointed at Bing Lianxin with his thumb.

"As you can see, my people are eager for you to oppose the deal. They want a fight."

The spirits had returned to his side, and all of them stared at the Palace Mistress and Elders. They were all eager to fight after not being able to fight the Heaven Founder’s people.

Especially for the Calamity Spirits who could not hide their bloodthirsty gaze. They wished for a fight when they were summoned.

That was when Grand Elder Bing Ruyan realized they were being surrounded and outnumbered.

Tang Shaoyang was serious when he said about killing the Palace Mistress and the other Grand Elders if they were not willing to join the Ice Palace.

"Can you give us a moment? I want to know more details and to ensure my disciples will not suffer from this agreement," Palace Mistress Bing Ruohan stepped forward.

"Who are you?" Tang Shaoyang asked. He knew the structure of the Ice Palace from Ouyang Biya, but he didn’t know who the Palace Mistress was. He only knew the name, not the face.

"My name is Bing Ruohan, and I am the current Palace Mistress of the Ice Palace. This is too sudden for us, and I wish for time to talk it out with Grand Elder Bing Lianxin."
