Chapter 2138: Immortal City Under Attack

Tang Shaoyang thought it was something important for them to summon him. He guessed that might be related to the Void Cult or something, but they called him just for a complaint from the Hurakan Kingdom.

The way Clementine and Arion addressed the issue, it was not the King of the Hurakan Kingdom that issued the complaint. They didn’t mention the King once in the conversation to pressure him. They just brought out the kingdom name to his face.

He was initially beyond annoyed that some random people tried to interfere with his class. However, he got valuable information as well from that conversation. The fact that there was limited information about his class.

Even though the Nirvana Alliance has been hunting the people with the Spirit Contractor class. It seemed people didn’t put much interest in the class because there was not much information about the class out there.

That was good news for him. If there was a group of people who knew his class the most, it should be the Nirvana Alliance. They even developed a weapon to kill a spirit. They might know more about his class than he did.

Tang Shaoyang put aside the Nirvana Alliance’s issue for now. They are still in the punishment period. There was nothing they could do against him unless they wanted to rebel against the System like the Void Cult.

Avyn reminded Tang Shaoyang. It made sense for the Void Cult to reach out to a lot of factions after losing one of their emperors.

Karoen the Void Knight spoke up.

Karoen warned Tang Shaoyang. The Void Knight was one of the spirits with the biggest determination to get resurrected, so he refused an advancement for a while so he could be resurrected earlier. He became active when it came to the Void Cult.

The Void Knight mentioned that he had a history with the Void Cult, but he didn’t share the details. Tang Shaoyang didn’t press it as well, not that he was desperate to wipe out the Void Cult. His main priority was the Nirvana Alliance and the God Order for now.

Tang Shaoyang said nothing to the warning. There was nothing he could do about the Void Cult because they went into hiding after he killed Thomas Lysvand. That was one of the main reasons he left two spirits behind. If the Tang Empire was attacked, he could return anytime.

That was the best he could do. Protecting Earth’s coordinate was no longer possible since the Divine Church once breached into Earth before. The Nirvana Alliance might have spread the Earth’s location to the other factions by now.

[Aren’t you going back to the Sacred Realm?] Avyn changed the topic.

Tang Shaoyang returned alone with Spirit Switch. Liang Suyin, Ashley, and Aleesa were still in the Sacred Realm. Avyn was worried about them, especially after finding out an Executive Administrator might take the Heaven Founder’s side. The Heaven Founder might target the Immortal City where they stayed.

"I am waiting for a reply from my team. Team Red is still my responsibility, and I want to check up on them."

He was waiting for a response from Ira and Khaya. Neither replied to his message right away. He guessed they might be out for a mission.

A response came five minutes later. Both Khaya and Ira almost responded to his message at the same time. It meant they were currently fighting five minutes ago, and their responses were similar to those they were telling them were on a mission.

Tang Shaoyang returned to the Sacred Realm after confirming his team was away on a mission. He used Spirit Switch to switch places with Jovrick.

He appeared in his property in the Immortal City, the Lotus Moon Pavilion. Jovrick was in his own room, enjoying the wine by himself.

Just like how he came to like the tea from the Sacred Realm. Jovrick had been enjoying the expensive wine from the Sacred Realm.

Tang Shaoyang recalled Jovrick and summoned the knight again. He waved at Jovrick, "I am sorry for disturbing your drinking time. I will ask first next time."

Jovrick bowed in return, "There’s no need for you to apologize, Bo— My Lord."

He almost called Tang Shaoyang with Boss. It seemed Nikolas had influenced him with their frequent interaction in the last few months.

Tang Shaoyang nodded and left the room, and said something before closing the door, "I don’t mind if you call me Boss."

He slowly made his way to his room at the topmost pavilion and met the workers on the way. He quickly realized that the Yang Clan completely replaced all the workers with their people, except the girls. Even the girls from the Ice Palace disguised themselves as the workers.

Liang Suyin, Aleesa, Ashley, Grandmaster Bing Lianxin, and Grandmaster Bing Ruohan were sitting together at the table, enjoying his tea.

"I thought the Heaven Founder was attacking the Immortal City?" Tang Shaoyang asked as he took the empty seat between Liang Suyin and Bing Ruohan.

Liang Suyin and Bing Ruohan stood from their chairs at the time, wanting to serve him tea. Both were surprised and exchanged glances.

Bing Ruohan was being polite since she was officially working under Tang Shaoyang. She didn’t have any ulterior motive. She thought it was more appropriate for her to serve the tea than Lady Liang Suyin.

After a short exchange, Bing Ruohan smiled and returned to her seat. To avoid misunderstanding, ’I should talk to Lady Suyin later.’

During his meeting with the Executive Administrator, Liang Suyin told him that the Heaven Founder was attacking the Immortal City. He didn’t return in a hurry since he was confident that they would be fine even when Alderman Fiodor appeared.

They could leave for the Yang Clan’s estate anytime. That was the safest place in the Sacred Realm.

Ouyang Biya appeared from the window, pointing her thumb outside, "The fight is over."

Tang Shaoyang was surprised as it was so fast. He brought the cup with him to the window and saw the aftermath of the battle.
