Chapter 2176: The Stage is Set

The Murim Alliance Leader was known for his righteousness, fairness, and for protecting his people, whether they were cultivators or ordinary civilians. People sang praises of the Murim Alliance Leader, his benevolence and wisdom.

Tang Shaoyang was under the impression that the Alliance Leader was morally much better than most cultivators he met. However, he seemed to be wrong about it. Not just because of the previous battle against the Heaven Founder, but also this scheme against him.

He could see the formation was set up to lock the city down, just to trap him inside the city. But that meant he would be trapped with the people in the city, whether they were cultivators or ordinary civilians.

He could see the Heaven Founder and the Demonic cultivators entering the city. The Murim Alliance’s people didn’t stop them.

The Heaven Founder’s people went straight toward his little restaurant, but the demonic cultivators went on a rampage. They killed whoever they encountered, all civilians or wandering cultivators inside the city. Chaos quickly ensued inside the once peaceful and beautiful city.

Tang Shaoyang could stop them, but he decided to save Alliance Leader for last. His priority remained the same, Alderman Fiodor. Everything else could wait for later.

He poured the remaining roasted duck and spicy tofu into his bowl as he headed out of the building. He stood in front of his little restaurant, finishing his food while waiting for his guests.

It didn’t take long for the little restaurant to be surrounded. Hundreds of people, unmasked, stood on the roof around the little restaurant. No one made a move, looking at Tang Shaoyang, who was casually finishing his bowl.

Tang Shaoyang gave a glance at the figure, but he quickly looked away. This figure was not part of the Heaven Founder. He had seen Mo Tianshen’s face and all the guardians of the Heaven Founder through his spirit. That meant this one was from the Demonic Factions.

He was not interested, but he kept an eye on this guy. Alderman Fiodor brought them to handle him, after all. He was looking for Alderman Fiodor, and he was surprised that he didn’t see the man with his Chaos Eyes.

Even the Heaven Founder’s leader, Mo Tianshen, showed up. He didn’t expect Alderman to be too afraid to show up before him.

"Don’t tell me you are scared of me, Alderman Fiodor!?" Tang Shaoyang’s voice echoed, "Don’t bother hiding from. I know you are with this Heaven Founder."

That was enough to lure out Alderman Fiodor as eleven figures materialized in front of the Demonic Cultivator. He could tell immediately which one Alderman Fiodor was. The man had short blond hair, and his skin was pale white. It was obvious he was not someone from the Sacred Realm.

"They truly send you alone?" Alderman scanned the figures around Tang Shaoyang. All of them were unfamiliar faces, meaning these people were not from the Administrator.

Alderman let out a chuckle, "They seem to underestimate me too much just to send you alone." He massaged his forehead while shaking his head, then he clicked his tongue, "Or maybe they are overestimating your strength, thinking you are strong enough to kill me? They truly take me as a weakling to send a greenhorn?"

Tang Shaoyang just watched Alderman doing a monologue. He caught something else moving. The people from the Murim Alliance. He thought they were moving to control the demonic cultivators that went on a rampage when they entered the city. However, the Murim Alliance was moving to the wall and set up a formation instead.

"Ah, right. Andre is annoyed by you. They are sending you to me for me to kill you, so they don’t dirty their hands. Typical Andre..."

Tang Shaoyang didn’t know what Alderman talked about because it was Arion and Clementine who asked him to take care of Alderman. He didn’t even meet Andre, but he didn’t bother to respond as his attention was on the Murim Alliance’s people.

They were setting up something at the wall that surrounded the city. It didn’t take him long to find out what they were doing. They were setting a formation, and within thirty seconds, they activated the formation.

The golden energy rose from the wall, surrounding the city like a dome. It was a defensive formation that used to protect, but the Murim Alliance used it as a cage, confining him and the Heaven Founder’s people in the city.

Tang Shaoyang could tell what they were doing. They were afraid that he or the Heaven Founder would escape after the battle, so they set up this barrier.

"They are quite devious for people from the orthodox factions..." He chuckled in a low voice.

Alderman also noticed the defensive barrier, but he had the same reaction as Tang Shaoyang. That formation didn’t bother him at all.

"The Murim Alliance has set up the stage for us. Let’s give them an unforgettable show!" Tang Shaoyang activated his Bloodline Transformation and Wrath of Slayer.

He didn’t stop there as he also activated his Absolute Chaos Domain. The world lost its color, turning black and white. Black and white trees with no leaves grew up, destroying the paved road and building. As he said, he was going all out from the start.
