Tang Shaoyang was caught with his creation and stayed longer than he should inside the Soul Palace. He was glad to stay longer as he found out that his creatures were acting like a guardian of his Soul Palace. It was a surprise discovery since the Heavenly Soul Sutra didn’t mention anything like that.

Another surprise discovery was the fact that his Soul Palace had its own will. That proved to be what happened to the demonic cultivators in the volcanic region and the chaotic region.

There were no creatures there, yet they were killed there without his interference. These demonic cultivators were at least True God Realms and were experts in Soul Technique.

There was no way they would die so easily after entering his Soul Palace by natural phenomenon. Since he didn’t invoke his authority, it meant it was his Soul Palace that killed them. That was surely an interesting discovery that he needed to learn more about later on.

He stayed a little longer inside his Soul Palace than he intended, even though Alderman was outside waiting to kill him. Of course, he was not that worried with Avyn and Zara next to him.

Tang Shaoyang returned from his Soul Palace and opened his eyes. The first thing he found was that the city was burned to the ground. The second thing he noticed was that he was boxed inside an ice box. He could immediately tell it was Avyn who put his body inside.

The third thing was that, with his sharp hearing, he could hear screams and cries resound through the whole city. Those were the cries of the civilians who lived in the Radiant Blossom City.

He was gone for a few minutes. He believed it was less than ten minutes and within that time, the battle broke out. Considering Alderman’s plan to strike him while he was "trapped", it was something to be expected. He just didn’t expect that half of the city was destroyed by the magma and the ice by the time he was out of the Soul Palace.

He expanded his vision through Chaos Eyes and found the battle. Avyn was currently fighting a creature made of magma. The creature was four meters tall, it had a magma crown floating above its head, four hands made of magma, and a wing without a membrane, just the frame of the wing itself, which was also made of magma.

Zara was handled by Mo Tianshen and the Heaven Founder’s people. She contended for them by herself, and in fact, she slaughtered the weaker cultivators.

Gianni and the others were chasing after the demonic cultivators. It was more that the leaders of the demonic cultivators were throwing their subordinates at his spirits to exhaust them. The True God Realm of the demonic cultivators stayed behind their subordinates. It was to be expected from the Demonic Cultivators.

But there was one thing that surprised him. It was the fact that Alderman Fiodor could destroy Avyn’s ice. Those two were the main culprits who destroyed the city. The splash of the magma burnt the city.

Tang Shaoyang didn’t know why Avyn didn’t fight back, but he found something funny. Their plan was to kill him when he was pulled into the Soul Palace forcefully, yet no one attacked him.

No one was around him; he saw no one outside his ice box. Or maybe because they could not penetrate the ice, that was why they left him behind. Alderman had the ability to destroy the ice, but he was busy with Avyn.

His summoned spirits didn’t know that his consciousness had returned, but the spirit inside him knew. Tang Shaoyang agreed to summon them to end the battle quickly. The reason was that he felt bad for those innocent civilians who suffered because of the Murim Alliance’s decision. He thought he could just ignore those people, but it still bothered him.

Tang Shaoyang placed his hand on the ice, and the ice started to melt. He jumped off the ice box and summoned all his spirits, with a few exceptions. He didn’t summon the spirit with massive size because his purpose in summoning them was to prevent further damage to the city.

He could hear Doombringer’s angry voice in his head, but he shut him off quickly by cutting their connection. He didn’t have the intention to summon his spirits to fight in the Sacred Realm. The plan was to fight the cultivators himself so he could learn more about them.

The problem was that he didn’t like the current circumstance where the innocent get involved, those civilians. He summoned the spirits to reduce the death toll of the civilians. That was why he didn’t summon the Calamity Spirit and the massive-sized spirits.

"I am not asking you to save the civilians, but avoid killing them. Only kill the Heaven Founder’s people and the demonic cultivators!"

His spirits listened to his orders and quickly dispersed to find their opponent. There was one thing common about his spirits: they loved fighting. Maybe they were influenced by him, or maybe that was just the nature of the spirits.

Vandir was the last one to leave. The Death King seemed to observe the situation first, carefully picking his targets. This one was quite different. He didn’t like fighting as much as the other spirits, but he loved to experiment with the dead bodies.

Tang Shaoyang remembered something when he thought about the dead bodies.

"Vandir! I have an interesting case for you!"

The necromancer was not interested at first, but still returned to Tang Shaoyang’s side. The interesting case was about bodies with no souls. Since he captured the nine souls, their bodies didn’t have souls. That led to a situation where those cultivators were still alive, but they were not alive as well since their souls were captured.

With that motivation, Vandir summoned his undead, many of them to look at those nine demonic cultivators.
