Atticus's Odyssey: Reincarnated Into A Playground

Chapter 1349: Wow

Chapter 1349: Wow

Eventually, and when Maizer saw that the looks were getting him nowhere, he finally resorted to threats.

"Do you think you’ll live by doing this? You forget who our god was. His lineage." The words made many pause. "The Viscount wouldn’t let this slide. This world is doomed. Doomed to fail. And this new god, this child, will lead you all to the pits of hell! He—"

Maizer tried to speak but no words came. He looked to see that Atticus was the one responsible, but he didn’t do anything. He couldn’t.

"Anyone else?" Atticus asked. By now, a respectable number of people had gathered to the side, promising to abolish their paths.

The others, perhaps influenced by Maizer’s words, had chosen to remain. Of the millions, Atticus had gotten only a few thousand.

"Alright."

Just as Maizer was about to ask what Atticus planned on doing to them, he waved his arm and they vanished.

"Dead?" Avalon whispered behind him. But Atticus shook his head. "I don’t plan on killing them."

"You don’t, supreme leader?" Oberon was shocked. Since when does Atticus not kill enemies?

"It’s their choice to follow whatever path they want to follow. But this is my world now, and they can’t do so here."

"So you’ll banish them," Jenera realized.

"Yes."

"What of the people who can’t survive the plane will?" Oberon asked.

Atticus’ eyes were cold.

"That’s their problem."

The people who had decided to abolish their wills couldn’t help but breathe a sigh of relief as they realized what just occurred. Atticus had sent those people out of the world, just like that!

Without the world’s protection, they faced the full effects of the plane will. Most of them must have run mad by now.

Atticus glanced at them and they flinched.

"You have 30 minutes to abolish your will path. Any later than that and I’ll assume you’ve chosen to stick to the Redflame path."

Atticus vanished after that, taking the Eldorians with him. One of the good things about being a god was that he didn’t have to guard or order people to keep eyes on anyone.

Despite the size of the world, he was constantly seeing everything at every given moment. He would know anything they wanted to do.

He appeared high in the sky and focused on the world. On the people.

They were people simply walking on the streets, some conversing, some busy working.

Everyone paused as they felt a presence. It was a feeling they were all too familiar with, but this time the presence was different. It didn’t take them long to realize. It was a different god.

"Good day, people." A voice sounded in their heads, filled with so much authority that they were forced to listen.

"My name is Atticus. I am your god now. I do not walk the Redflame path. From this moment on, any who follow it must abolish it... or be banished. You have thirty minutes to decide."

As the voice vanished, there was a moment of utter silence across the world. It was as though many were trying to comprehend everything.

Then, like a bomb, many erupted. Riots began across the globe. People screamed for Atticus’s death. Others cursed him. But to all this, Atticus only uttered one word.

"Stop."

And the world listened. The riot ceased, and the cursing stopped. The people became docile, not able to utter a word. In their minds, only Atticus’ words echoed. Abolish, or get banished.

Atticus didn’t wait for the 30 minutes to pass in idlement, he used the time to roam around.

The first place he checked out was Nerrot’s home. A large mansion inside a massive volcano situated in the middle of the floating island.

The place was just like what any narcissistic person would have. An obsidian statue of himself and a place that was needlessly large.

Beautiful maids roamed the mansion and upon asking he was glad to find out that most of Nerrot’s children were grown. He’d thrown most of them out of the planet already.

Atticus checked everywhere around the mansion but was a bit disappointed not to find anything.

"Shouldn’t people like this have a vault room or something?"

Whisker laughed. "This is the middle planes, my star actor. People just don’t leave their shit lying around."

They both stood inside Nerrot’s chamber. Ozeroth and the others still wandered around.

"Space storage?" Atticus asked. When he was killing Nerrot he hadn’t felt anything like that or he’d have retrieved it.

"Let’s call it will storage. It’s an art, like storing things in your will."

Atticus frowned. "So how do I retrieve it?"

"You gotta ask them to empty their storage before killing them. I heard torture works nicely."

"So I can’t retrieve any of his things even though I absorbed his will?"

"That’s not how it works, unfortunately. But you can still benefit from his large ass world, right? Just steal the people’s resources."

"Steal is such a strong word," Atticus said. "You can’t steal what’s yours, right?"

Whisker looked at Atticus a bit taken aback. "WOW, you caught me off guard, I thought you were another person." He shook his head, suddenly placing both arms on Atticus. "I’m so proud of you."

Atticus sighed, but he couldn’t help but smile. Soon enough they left the mansion and ended up hovering in the sky until the 30 mins was up. By then, people had decided.

Many of the citizens had abolished their wills already, having to start from the beginning, and many others hadn’t. Atticus threw them out without wasting time.

But of the earlier higher ups, they had all abolished their wills. Atticus couldn’t help but notice them becoming significantly weaker.

"Looks like you have more students," Atticus said to Whisker, who sighed at the job.

Afterward, Atticus did what Whisker had suggested.

He ’stole’ resources from the people. Since Nerrot had died with his treasures, he had to get them from somewhere. Plus, for what they were trying to get, they needed a lot of money.

And in the middle planes, resources were money. Will stone, will ores, etc. Basically anything that affected will in any way.

These materials were spread across the world and were deeply embedded in its economy. Atticus he was causing so much damage by taking them, but he still did so without hesitation.

He had another reason aside from needing the money. All the willstones and materials were centered on the Redflame path. It meant having materials the Redflame could use to spy on him in world.
