Chapter 1427 New Stats Page*
Chapter 1427 New Stats Page*
Atticus chose a spot beneath the massive veinroot tree to train.
'It's hotter here.'
The veinroot had affected the entire separate continent. Its temperature compared to other parts of the world was incredibly high.
However, to Atticus, it was scarcely warm. He needed something more for his training and had chosen the spot with the highest concentration of will.
Manipulating the earth, Atticus created a small chamber beneath the tree and settled inside.
'What should I start with first?'
The number of abilities he had was far too much. Choosing what to train had always been one of the issues he faced in training.
'Let's take a look at my status first.'
He had to admit, it had been a time. A very long one, in fact, since he took a look at his status. But he couldn't be blamed. Coming to the middle planes had made most of his former powers obsolete. Having only to worry about will, Atticus hadn't seen any need to check his status.
'I wonder what changed. Status.'
A holographic interface materialized in front of him, but Atticus's eyes soon narrowed.
'It changed.'
He focused on the status screen in front of him.

'The whole thing changed.'
The structure of his status had been rewritten to reflect the new, major power system, will.
'But why now? I've awakened my will since the lower plane, yet nothing happened…'
Atticus hadn't viewed his status in a long time, but he was certain this rewrite had just occurred.
It meant something significant had occurred recently that caused this change. He didn't need to guess what it was.
'Solvath's fragment.'
He had only just awakened the fragment. Atticus could still remember Elderish's words back then.
'He said my talent would surpass anything I'd ever imagine when I awakened. Is this it?'
As he wondered, he focused on the new status page.
'There's a lot of new things. I can probably figure it out, but I'd prefer to get a sure explanation.'
Atticus could remember his first interaction with the system during his childhood. Back then, he hadn't been sure of what each of the terms on the screen meant. Luckily, the system had come with a manual.
He repeated what he did back then and focused on each aspect, viewing each of their functions.
The first few were self explanatory, though the sight of his "Eldorian" race changing to Kin of Solvath unsettled him.
'He's defining my entire existence.'
Without Logoth, Atticus would still be lost in Solvath's emotions. It was a thought that frightened him as well as angered him. To have some being assume control of his life made him want to go on a rampage.
'Losing control of my emotions isn't the key.' If Logoth had taught him something, it was the importance of being in control. The silence of emotion was an addictive feeling, and he loved every bit of it.
Atticus calmed himself and continued his observations. His age was accurate, world anchor easy to understand, will type and name the same. But the moment he got to lineage core, he paused.
'The name changed, and so did the ability.'
Lineage core was, in fact, termed bloodline if he remembered correctly. Still, it was the new addition that stunned him.
'Solvath's fragment. Is it the power to destabilize will?'
He'd asked Anorah about Solvath's power, and she'd said the same thing he knew: she could only destabilize will and see things normally unseen by even gods.
'No. There's more.'
Atticus had felt an innate connection to the universe as a whole since he awakened the fragment. There was more to Solvath's power than twinkling lights, he was sure of it.
After all, its awakening had changed his system.
'Now the attributes…'
His stats, while changed, were easy to understand.
'The physical aspect represents my bodily stats…'
According to the brief description from the system, it was how well his body attuned to his will. It accounted for his strength, agility, endurance, and vitality.
'So the number in the bracket represents how attuned my body is with my will.'
Given that it was in percentage, it meant 100 was the cutoff. Atticus couldn't help but feel a bit of shock.
'So I'm still holding out on this much?'
Was this how insane his true will was? Or was this because of…
'The fragment.' Atticus's eyes widened. Now, as he looked at the rest of his status, he was beginning to understand.
'It affected me as a whole.'
Everything in his body had been affected. Before coming to the middle planes, Atticus had questioned Whisker extensively about the power system of the middle planes.
In his explanation, consisting of different meetings, Whisker had never mentioned attunement of the body with will. Will was an extension of self, this was all he'd said, all everyone knew.
'You're your will.'
But this status was stating otherwise.
'The awakening influenced my power. This was why the status changed.'
Solvath's fragment was somehow fusing him and his powers into one. It declared that his will was, in truth, separate from his bodily self, which included mana, and then proceeded to fuse them.
Still, it was a shocking affair. Atticus could remember the last time he'd tried to fuse his mana with spiritual energy. Back then, it had been impossible, and he settled for simply making them coexist. But now, his will was fusing with mana, he was becoming one.
