Awakening The Only SSS-Rank Class! Now Even Dragons Obey Me

Chapter 754: The President

Chapter 754: The President

From the sky where light and darkness were clawing at each other,

from the explosions that were splitting space apart, from the battle that had shaken even the entire country...

to a place where there was no sound at all.

The Presidential Palace.

Tall columns of white stone, a ceiling that disappeared into golden darkness, and a soft light that poured in from the huge windows and lit up the polished floor like a mirror. Everything was calm... too calm.

Unlike the whole world outside and unlike the great war that was happening in the capital between two of the strongest Guilds in the country, here it was peaceful.

No noise could be heard and not even a trace of the battle could be seen. It was as if everything happening out there had nothing to do with this place.

But was that really true? No...

This calm was a lie. Everything happening outside affected this palace more than anywhere else, though not physically, but with a much greater impact.

In the center of the hall, two men were sitting. Two presences... whose weight was no less than the battlefield itself.

A man with neatly combed gray hair, an expressionless face, and a gaze that always seemed to be a few steps ahead of time.

His dark suit was simple, without any exaggerated signs of power... but that very simplicity screamed his real power.

Adrian Volkar, the elected President of the Republic of Medes and a National Rank Awakened.

He was the kind of man who didn’t need to raise his voice to give orders. One decision from him... could send thousands to their deaths or, on the contrary, save them.

Sitting beside him was another man.

Unlike Adrian, his presence was raw and heavy. His body still showed signs of the power that had torn through battlefields years ago. An old scar on his face, like the signature of a bloody past, had never been hidden.

His eyes... were sharp, ruthless, and used to seeing death.

He was none other than Kaiser Ronald, the current President of the National Awakened Federation.

After the previous president was killed in a battle that had almost dragged all the National Rank Awakened of the country into it, just one year ago, he had been chosen as the new president.

Of course, his selection hadn’t been that simple. He had many opponents, especially because of his personality and behavior. But since there was no other National Rank Awakened who could take the position, he was chosen.

In front of them, a holographic image was playing in the air.

The sky split open, the ground destroyed, and two domains that looked like two opposing worlds devouring each other. Explosions, falls, screams... everything was playing in heavy silence.

The image was naturally showing the battlefield between the two Guilds, something that had become a real headache for them.

Even though they stood at the head of the country, unfortunately there were things they couldn’t stop or interfere with, because the result could be disastrous.

"This is no longer a Guild war..." Kaiser said without taking his eyes off the image.

"This is a country-level war." His voice was calm, but it carried a weight that made the space even heavier.

Adrian stayed silent for a moment.

"And we... are just watching," he then answered quietly.

Neither of these two men was naive. They knew better than anyone why they still hadn’t stepped in.

And more importantly, why they couldn’t step in. It wasn’t that they didn’t want to interfere. In fact, they wanted to stop this war and end it more than anyone else.

But the matter wasn’t that simple. They couldn’t stop this war with raw power alone.

A war that, if it continued like this, could cause a disaster for the country.

"The Goblin Guild has an excuse," Kaiser took a deep breath, placed his hand on his knee, and leaned forward slightly.

His gaze was still on the battlefield.

"From a legal point of view, this is a response to what the Everlight Moon Guild did."

Unfortunately, what the Everlight Moon Guild had done, killing the heir of the Goblin Guild in front of so many important guests, had tied their hands from doing anything.

If the Goblin Guild didn’t have such a good excuse to start this war, both of them would definitely have interfered and tried to stop it.

"If we step in... this is no longer a Guild conflict."

"...It becomes a civil war," the President said with sarcasm.

And then nothing would be controllable anymore. Other Guilds would get involved. Alliances would form. Betrayals would begin.

And what would remain would be nothing but chaos.

"We can step in, but after that there won’t be anything left called order," Kaiser added.

From their point of view, interfering wasn’t worth it.

Adrian shifted his gaze to the image. The frown on his face kept growing bigger, as if he was thinking about the future of the country.

"If Everlight Moon falls, Goblin will become too powerful."

"And if Goblin loses..."

"A power vacuum will form. Everyone will rush in to fill it."

The result? In both cases, it would be a disaster.

"It’s not like we can interfere right now. We have to wait until the end of the war. That will be our chance to interfere," Kaiser replied.

"Right now something else has caught my attention," he then waved his hand.

And for a moment, the image changed and zoomed in.

On Daniel.

Right at the moment when he was standing under the pressure of the domains, alone and facing two S-ranks.

Kaiser narrowed his eyes slightly.

"I didn’t expect such a genius to exist in the country."

This sentence wasn’t simple, because it hadn’t come from just anyone’s mouth. In all his life, he had never seen anyone like this kid.

He still hadn’t even reached S-rank, yet he could fight against two of them, and if that array didn’t exist, he might have even managed to suppress them.

How had such a genius remained unknown until now?

"The death of such a genius would be a loss for the country," Adrian added without looking away.

"Can you stop them?" He really didn’t want to let such a genius die.

But on the other hand, he himself couldn’t take any action to save him. His position didn’t allow him to do that.

But the President of the Awakened Federation had more freedom in this matter and might be able to do something.

However, Kaiser stayed silent, and for longer than usual. He didn’t answer, as if he didn’t know how to reply.

"Surveillance will continue," Adrian finally let out a calm breath and said.

"Keep the emergency forces ready." His eyes darkened slightly.

"If any of them crosses the line..."

"We will step in." They had to be prepared for dangerous scenarios. The country’s enemies might take advantage of this situation.

At that exact moment, an unknown energy suddenly burst out from Daniel’s body in the image.

Light and darkness stopped for a moment, space bent, and something different was released.

Kaiser’s eyes opened wider for the first time, and even their bodies trembled for a moment. An aura so powerful was released that even they could feel it.

The aura was so strong that it was no less than that of a Heavenly King.

"...What the hell is this? What did that kid just do?"
