Chapter 823: End Of The Fourth Floor
Chapter 823: End Of The Fourth Floor
Daniel was still sitting on the endless white floor of the lobby, his right hand resting quietly on his chest; the spot where that being’s final strike had landed.
No wound existed, and no trace of the destruction from moments ago remained.
But still, he could still feel that death.
The feeling of bones being crushed, laws collapsing, divinity being extinguished, and that absolute darkness that had swallowed everything after the monster’s hand struck.
It had been a long time since he had experienced something like this. It had been a long time since anyone had managed to even push him back, let alone extinguish his existence with a single simple movement.
He closed his eyes.
The final image came alive in his mind again: a body darker than the void, the head of a bull, horns resembling the rotten branches of an ancient tree.
"...You are too weak." And that quiet voice, that arrogant tone.
When was the last time someone had told him he was weak? The last time someone had truly said such a thing to him, and their words weren’t just out of mockery?
That monster hadn’t said those words to humiliate or mock him. It had simply stated the truth from its own perspective. Before that monster, he truly was very weak.
What would happen if he faced that monster in the real world? He would be killed instantly! He would have no chance of victory.
"I greatly underestimated the threat of the beasts of corruption." He sighed. Now he understood what a great threat the beasts of corruption truly are.
Especially if that beast attacks their world, could they stop it? He doubted it.
He had seen the power of a Demi-God, beings that are the ceiling of power in his world. They were truly powerful, even appearing no different from real gods in the eyes of ordinary people.
But before that monster? They probably would be no different from an insect.
Daniel slowly rose from his spot. Complaining right now wouldn’t change anything. He didn’t know when that monster would arrive in his world, so he needed to become stronger as soon as possible.
He needed to increase his growth rate even more. Only that way could he stand against that living disaster.
Then a massive window formed before Daniel.
[Congratulations! You have successfully cleared the fourth floor.]
[Achievements are being reviewed...]
[You have been selected as the "Best Player of the Fourth Floor."]
[You have obtained a seven-star achievement!]
[Reviewing rewards....]
Daniel’s gaze remained unchanged, fixed on the notifications. A few seconds of silence continued.
This wasn’t the first time he had obtained a seven-star achievement; it was the third time. But he still didn’t have a complete understanding of what this seven-star achievement even meant.
He had done some research on it but hadn’t gotten the answer he wanted, a comprehensive and complete answer.
"Maybe I should ask Evangelin," he muttered to himself. After leaving the tower, he would definitely need to visit that woman. Many responsibilities had fallen on his shoulders, and he might need her help.
He didn’t know how much time he had spent in the tower, but it certainly wasn’t little. And given all the events happening in the Celestial Domain, he could only hope nothing had gone wrong.
But he knew he wasn’t that lucky, and something bad might have happened.
Golden light gathered around him.
Four luminous orbs formed before him.
The first orb slowly opened.
Thousands of silver runes floated in the air.
Each of them shone like a small star.
[Skill Acquired]
[Name: Archive of Thousand Laws]
[Rank: SS]
[Description: You have obtained the entire archive of one of the top three Eternal Warriors, Seraphina. This archive contains all her knowledge and understanding of the fundamental laws of the cosmos.]
The skill’s information entered Daniel’s mind. He saw how these runes could touch the structure of surrounding laws, how they could change gravity.
Slow down time, rewrite spatial pressure, and even for brief moments, record a law from an enemy and use it against them.
In fact, this archive was an understanding of thousands of laws. Although each was scattered and did not include a hundred percent understanding of all laws, it was still a terrifying thing.
If someone wanted to cultivate all the laws of the world, this archive could certainly help them immensely.
Additionally, he knew someone who had such ambition. Someone who was cultivating the law of origin to become the source of all laws.
Perhaps he could exchange a copy of this archive for the fallen heart fragments they possessed.
[Skill Acquired]
[Name: Saint’s Funeral March]
[Rank: SS]
[Description: You can summon thousands of saints formed from pure faith. They obey all your commands and can both protect you and attack.]
Daniel’s eyes gleamed. This was the skill the Holy Emperor had used, and it had remarkable capabilities, both defensive and offensive.
Furthermore, perhaps he could summon thousands of saints formed from the faith of the Eternity religion. Then this skill would be even more terrifying.
And those were not its only uses. With the help of this skill, he could also create weaker versions of it and give them to the followers of the Eternity religion.
Then he looked at the third reward he had received.
[Heart of the Dragon Emperor]
[Rank: SSS]
[Description: The heart of a Dragon Emperor, a source of infinite energy. A heart that can contain infinite energy and various types of hostile or aligned energies.]
"This heart can help me complete the core." His eyes sparkled.
He still hadn’t been able to complete the core. To complete the core, he still needed something that could withstand his bloodline and his race and serve as a bridge between them.
And more importantly, he needed something to prevent the core from being destroyed.
And now it seemed this heart could be of significant help in this matter. Perhaps with this heart, he could achieve his goal and complete the core.
[Kyroth’s Staff]
[Rank: SSS]
[Description: The staff of the world’s most powerful mage. A source of infinite mana and the ability to perform over a thousand spells per minute.]
[Sword of the End]
[Rank: SSS]
[Description: The sword of the strongest Eternal Warrior, Ragnar. Contains the essence of the law of darkness. Made from the bones of a Dragon Emperor, a divine phoenix, and a branch of the World Tree.]
Daniel glanced at his last two rewards. Although they were really good rewards, he didn’t need them. First of all, he wasn’t a mage at all.
And second, he already had a very good sword and didn’t need another one. So what should he do with the last two rewards?
"Either I can sell them, or I can give them to Tiana and Alice," he muttered to himself. Giving them to his sisters was the best option.
Especially because he would soon leave the country, and at least giving these two weapons to them would mean he no longer needed to worry about them.
Moreover, they really didn’t have weapons this good. These two not only suited them perfectly but were also the best of their kind.
The notifications went out one after another, and the lobby returned to its former peace.
And the final window appeared before him.
[Return to the Outside World?]
[YES / NO]
Without the slightest hesitation, Daniel pressed the confirm option. All the space around him shattered, and white light collapsed.
And the world before his eyes changed.
A few moments later, he was standing again before the tower’s massive entrance.
The sky was blue, and a gentle wind flowed through the streets. The sound of cars and people could be heard in the distance.
Everything seemed normal. Fortunately, in his absence, it didn’t seem that any war or strange event had occurred to cause chaos throughout the country.
Daniel looked at the tower for a few seconds, at the massive structure still stretching into the clouds. Then he quietly put his hand in his pocket.
He took out his phone.
He turned on the screen, and his gaze changed slightly. He looked at the date recorded on the screen.
Nearly three months had passed!
