Awakening The Only SSS-Rank Class! Now Even Dragons Obey Me

Chapter 825: The New Guild Leader

Chapter 825: The New Guild Leader

After leaving the house, Daniel didn’t take another step. He just looked at the capital’s horizon for a moment, and in the distance, among hundreds of tall buildings, a massive complex shone under the sunlight.

The central headquarters of the Everlight Moon guild.

Just a few months ago, due to the conflicts and the war that had occurred, that place was nothing but ruins. But now it looked more like a royal fortress than a guild headquarters.

Several white and silver towers, their walls covered in mana crystals, rose side by side into the sky.

Bridges made of light and magical steel connected the towers.

Around the complex were massive training grounds where A-rank and S-rank Awakened were sparring.

A bit further away, several research halls could be seen, with thousands of magical runes carved into their walls.

Warehouses of ancient artifacts, training halls, a command center, and at the heart of it all, the main tower.

A seven-story tower, each floor as tall as several ordinary buildings. At the entrance stood a massive statue of a silver moon.

The symbol of Everlight Moon.

The symbol of a guild that many now considered the most powerful in the country.

Daniel looked at it for a few seconds.

"Not bad... they clearly spent a lot of money," he muttered quietly. The headquarters and the entire current guild area were much better than before.

But it still showed that a great deal of money had been spent on its construction. But the question was, did it matter? Their guild no longer cared how much money they spent.

But still, excessive extravagance wasn’t good either, and he needed to warn Lana not to make unnecessary and unjustified expenses, or sooner or later the treasury might run dry.

The next moment, he appeared before the main gate. The guards at the entrance were frozen for a few moments.

Their eyes slowly widened. One of them even unconsciously took a step back.

A quiet whisper spread through the crowd.

"The Fallen is back..."

"It’s really him..."

No one stepped forward, no one greeted him. Everyone just moved aside, as if the path already belonged to him.

His current fame was considered legendary not only within the guild but throughout the entire country. Many even considered him the most terrifying and dangerous man in the country.

Daniel passed by them without paying attention, and at that moment, he released his divine sense. The entire building took shape in his mind.

Hundreds of employees, dozens of meetings, Awakened training, and flows of mana moving like invisible rivers through the building.

And on the highest point, the seventh floor, a girl sat behind a large desk.

A mountain of files surrounded her. She was signing documents with one hand and holding her temple with the other.

A faint smile settled on Daniel’s face.

"Just as I thought."

He took a step, the space around him silently changed, and a moment later, he stood before the large door on the seventh floor.

This entire floor had only one office. A wide hallway and windows showing the entire capital.

Walls of white stone, and a silence different from the rest of the building. Daniel entered without knocking. Lana didn’t even lift her head.

She signed a few more documents.

"Didn’t you learn to knock?" She then said quietly.

"It seems you still don’t like being in charge." Daniel laughed.

Lana finally raised her head. There were slight dark circles under her eyes, and fatigue was clearly visible on her face.

She put down her pen on the desk.

"I’d rather run away."

She was silent for a few moments.

"But I can’t right now." Then she sighed.

Daniel sat on the sofa across from her. Lana glanced at him briefly.

"Tea or coffee?"

"I prefer tea."

Lana pressed a small button on the desk, and a few seconds later, a secretary entered.

"Some tea, please. Quickly."

The young girl, upon seeing Daniel, was startled for a moment but quickly bowed and left the room.

Lana looked at him again and smiled slightly. As if seeing this man made her forget all her hardships. Though it might sound ridiculous, in his presence, she felt there was no problem she couldn’t solve.

"Congratulations on clearing the fourth floor."

"Congratulations also on clearing the fifth floor." Daniel returned the same smile.

He had noticed from the moment he entered. The flow of mana around Lana had completely changed. She was now an S-rank Awakened. Though only an Early S-rank, she was powerful enough to be officially recognized as the guild leader.

Lana nodded quietly.

"Thank you." Her gaze went to the window for a few moments.

"It was harder than I thought... but I finally succeeded."

Daniel leaned back against the sofa.

"Did anything bad happen during my absence?"

Lana chuckled briefly.

"Fortunately, no. Just managing everything was a real headache."

Then she shrugged.

"But no one dared to cause us trouble, because everyone thinks this guild has two Heavenly Kings." The outside world thinks that the Everlight Moon guild has two Heavenly Kings.

Still, they don’t know that this isn’t true. Of course, that’s what Lana thought. She didn’t know that Daniel was now actually at that level.

Daniel nodded quietly.

"Good."

He was silent for a few moments.

"Are we officially recognized as the strongest guild?" He then asked.

Lana thought for a bit.

"More or less. At least in Awakened circles, almost everyone considers us the strongest."

"Two Heavenly Kings are no joke." But then her smile faded.

"But our overall power still isn’t enough."

She opened one of the files.

"Almost all of our S-ranks were either killed in the war or are still wounded."

"Those who survived still haven’t fully recovered."

"We’ve hired new Awakened, but in terms of numbers, we’re still behind the major guilds."

Daniel thought for a few seconds.

"So we need at least a year." He then added. He had guessed this before. The guild needed at least a year to fully rebuild itself.

And even that year was a best-case estimate, not something certain.

Lana nodded.

"At least. Of course, there’s some good news too. In these three months, we’ve fully taken control of all the Goblin guild’s mines and assets."

"Right now, in terms of capital, we’ve surpassed every other guild in the country."

Daniel listened in silence.

But Lana wasn’t finished yet.

"There’s just one problem left: the Goblin guild’s foreign assets. The transfer of ownership process in other countries is much more complicated."

"We don’t have the political influence the Goblin guild had in those countries."

"It’s not a big problem. Sooner or later, they’ll come to us for cooperation." Daniel said quietly. He wasn’t worried about this matter.

There will always be opportunities to establish cooperation, and it would be enough as long as they could plan and begin the foundation of good relations with them.

They could even hold a ceremony to select a new leader and invite those foreign forces. They would certainly not refuse the invitation.

Lana smiled faintly.

"In fact... we have an opportunity right now."

"I’m listening." Daniel looked at her.

"Do you remember the Awakened tournaments? Regional and global."

"Of course. You wanted me to participate." Daniel thought for a moment and then nodded.

"The tournament starts next month. First regional, and then the winning team from each region is sent to the global tournament. The hosting will be in a neighboring country. We can use this opportunity to establish good relations."

"Some of the matches might be held in areas that belonged to the Goblin guild."

"That’s a very good idea. This way, foreign guilds will have no choice but to contact us." She also approved of the idea’s merits.

"Naya will be participating from our guild, right?" He then asked.

"That’s right."

"For now, she’s the only one who meets the conditions."

"Good. Where is she now? Maybe I can help her before the tournament. At least make sure she becomes one of the stars of those competitions." Daniel said with a smile.

"Inside a private dimension, training under her grandfather. If you want, you can find her there." Lana answered.

Daniel nodded quietly.

"I’ll visit her later. For now, I don’t think I need to disturb her... What about Mr. Varnus?"

For the first time, Lana’s expression changed slightly. Her gaze quietly fell on the desk.

"I haven’t heard from him for two months. Ever since he went to the Celestial Domain... he hasn’t sent any messages."

"I’m sure he’s fine." Daniel said without changing his expression.

Lana sighed.

"I hope he doesn’t take too many risks." She knew her father. He was a man who wasn’t afraid of dangers and faced them with courage.

And that worried her greatly. She didn’t want to lose her father. She knew it was hard for him to accept that he could no longer progress, but wasn’t a peaceful life better?

Unfortunately, her words hadn’t affected him at the time. In any case, he had gone to the Celestial Domain to find an item that could heal him.

For a few moments, both were silent. Then a knock came, and the secretary entered. She placed the tea in front of Daniel and left again after bowing.

Daniel put his teacup on the table and fixed his gaze on Lana.

"By the way, why did you tell me to come quickly?"

Lana didn’t answer. She got up from behind her desk and quietly walked to the window, staring at the city spread out beneath them.

A few seconds passed. She seemed to be searching for the right words and wasn’t at all sure if she should say anything or not.

"Do you remember Simon?" She then said very quietly.
