Chapter 1329: Chapter 1330: Plans Can’t Keep Up with Changes

According to Cheng Su’s original plan, she would send Qi Jianguo off to Guangcheng for his studies and also pay a visit to Old Master Cheng, but as luck would have it, she started running a fever the night she returned home, proving that plans couldn’t keep up with changes.

"How come you suddenly have a fever?" Qi Taiguo was quite anxious, giving her medicine and using a cold towel to cool her forehead, his brows full of concern.

Cheng Su felt weak all over, and said feebly, "I guess those ten days back home exhausted me, with so many things to do and a pent-up energy. Once that energy was released, the illness came!"

Qi Taiguo was a bit annoyed, saying, "I should have brought you back with me earlier."

Cheng Su said, "It’s okay, just a slight fever, nothing to get so worked up about. But about my little uncle, I’m afraid I can’t send him over there now."

"He’s a grown man now; he should go out and gain some experience on his own. He still needs someone to hold his hand? Let him go by himself!" Qi Taiguo said irritably, "A real man, even if he falls while walking, should know how to get up on his own!"

Cheng Su then said, "Okay, he can go on his own. I should still give Cheng Yaozu a heads up and ask him to help in receiving him, or else Jianguo, who’s never been far from home, won’t know how to find his way. Guangcheng is quite big!"

Qi Taiguo nodded: "Just make the call, then rest, and don’t worry about the affairs in the shop!"

"Alright, since you’re under the weather, you should rest more. What’s your little uncle’s name? I will send someone to pick him up and take him to school, don’t worry." Old Master Cheng said, "When you get better, find some time to bring your loved one over to meet me."

Cheng Su agreed and mentioned Qi Jianguo’s name, became a little reluctant to hang up the phone.

Qi Jianguo listened silently as she made the call, marveling at the conversation.
