Chapter 1356: Chapter 1357: Got Together

After nearly two days on the train, they finally arrived in Guangcheng. As soon as Cheng Su exited the train station, she spotted Cheng Yaozu and Ying Xiaoya waiting at the exit, laughing and chatting about something. Their affectionate closeness caught the attention of passersby.

"Look at that." Cheng Su nudged Qi Taiguo’s side and gestured forward with her mouth.

Qi Taiguo was observing the surroundings and, upon hearing Cheng Su’s words, looked over to see Cheng Yaozu quickly pecking Ying Xiaoya’s cheek, prompting her to playfully jab him with her fist.

"Wow, are things getting serious?" Qi Taiguo chuckled.

"Ning Ge wasn’t wrong, living in the same city, they were bound to get together in less than a month. That guy really called it!" Cheng Su said while waving to the couple.

"Familiarity breeds fondness!" Qi Taiguo laughed as well, "Seeing each other every day is definitely better for a relationship than meeting once every ten days or so!"

Ying Xiaoya had already come over. Her face was rosy and radiant, exceptionally beautiful, clearly a girl in love.

Cheng Su felt relieved. Just looking at her face, she knew she was doing well.

"We’ve been waiting for you guys for ages!" Ying Xiaoya clung to Cheng Su’s arm and teased.

Cheng Su couldn’t resist pinching her cheek, teasingly laughing, "What’s a little wait when you have a lover by your side? Look, the water of Guangcheng really nurtures people. Your face is so fresh, it almost oozes water."

Ying Xiaoya’s face turned red, and she stomped her foot, "You can’t do this, making fun of someone as soon as we meet!" Yet she couldn’t help touching her face with a smile playing at her lips.

Cheng Yaozu came over too, greeting everyone, then started helping Qi Taiguo with some of their luggage, leading them to where the car was parked.

The two men walked ahead.

While Cheng Su and Ying Xiaoya chatted like close friends at the back.

"So you’re officially together?" Cheng Su asked with a smile.

Ying Xiaoya blushed and replied, "You’re so straightforward, aren’t you embarrassed to speak so bluntly?"

"What’s our relationship? Do we still need to beat around the bush when we talk? If you don’t find it exhausting, I do!" Cheng Su scoffed.

Ying Xiaoya hummed, took a while before nodding.

"How’s it going? Are you getting along well?" Cheng Su asked, intrigued.

Truth be told, Ying Xiaoya had become one of her best friends after living here for several years, and given her previous rocky relationships, Cheng Su definitely hoped for her to find a good partner.

"Yes, things are pretty good now." Ying Xiaoya replied shyly, "He treats me well, really takes care of me in every aspect!"

"So, will you be attending the old man’s birthday feast this time?" Cheng Su asked.

Ying Xiaoya nodded, "He took me to his family for dinner a while back, and this time I have to attend as well!"

"Oh wow, that’s great! I might as well start preparing a gift for the wedding next year!" Cheng Su laughed heartily.

"Listen to you, we’ve just started dating, it’s not that fast." Ying Xiaoya hesitated before saying, "He mentioned marrying next year, but who knows what might happen. I’ll just see how he performs!"

"Exactly. If he doesn’t perform well, dump him!" Cheng Su fully agreed; dating is certainly more delightful and joyful than marriage. It’s good to date more.

When it comes to her and Qi Taiguo, they haven’t had such experiences. You could say it’s like an arranged marriage; at most, it’s love after marriage.

Thinking about this, Cheng Su sighed.

But it’s fine. They’re doing well now, and falling in love after marriage isn’t bad either.
