After leaving the factory, Cheng Su went to Joy Soon Loy Restaurant. Now that the restaurant’s business has stabilized, there’s basically not much to see, just bookkeeping.

Li Dan has been promoted by Cheng Su to work in the office doing logistics. This girl failed in her college entrance exams again this year. She has no confidence left. Cheng Su said that since so many people take the tests nowadays, she might as well continue if she can. In ancient times, some of the successful candidates took the tests until their hair turned white. To encourage her, Cheng Su promoted her to logistics.

"President Cheng, here are the accounts," Li Dan handed the bookkept accounts to Cheng Su.

The restaurant’s total investment this year was quite large. Even though business was good, they were still far from recovering the costs. But since the New Year was approaching, they had to give the shareholders a bit of a boost and confidence. As the major shareholder, Cheng Su decided to extend the distribution of costs. She asked Li Dan to also handle the dividends, as a little holiday bonus for everyone.

What made Cheng Su happy was that the mooncakes were sold at a good price, and the profits were decent, which was quite a pleasant surprise.

This year, Joy Soon Loy Restaurant will not be taking a holiday break. Cheng Su gathered all the department heads for a meeting. Even though there were no holidays, they needed to schedule employee vacations so not everyone would take off at once, leaving no one to work.

Additionally, they discussed the year-end arrangements. On the night of the 29th, all employees would have a New Year’s Eve dinner, as a reward for their hard work throughout the year.

"Don’t make it complicated, just prepare a big pot meal. It’ll be easier for the head chef," Cheng Su said.

Cheng Su mentioned a few more key points before letting them go. She was utterly exhausted.

She rubbed her waist, realizing that pregnant people really tire more easily. She had only been to two places today and was already worn out.

Taking care of her health was important, so Cheng Su dropped the idea of going to the fast food branch at the train station and took a car home.

As soon as she reached the door, she heard someone talking inside. The voice sounded a bit familiar.

Once inside, Cheng Su saw that Little Yu had come over and was talking to Mother Qi.

"Sister-in-law, how do you have the time to come over?" Cheng Su was surprised. "When did you arrive? You didn’t even let me know beforehand. I was out at the shop."

"I just got here not long ago," Little Yu said. "Isn’t it almost New Year? I came out to buy some holiday goods to take back. I also wanted to bring you some money, but didn’t find you at home."

"I thought the weather was nice today, and since it’s nearly the end of the year, all the shops needed bookkeeping, so I went to take a look!" Cheng Su sat down. "I’m so exhausted!"

Mother Qi poured a cup of hot water and placed it in front of her, saying, "I told you not to go, but you insisted. You didn’t get into any trouble, did you?"

"Mom, if something happened, would I still be sitting here?" Cheng Su said helplessly.

Mother Qi immediately spat a few times and clasped her hands together, "Bodhisattva, forgive her. Kids say foolish things!"

Cheng Su secretly stuck out her tongue at Little Yu.

Little Yu covered her mouth and laughed, "Your mother-in-law said you’re pregnant, right? Her worries are justified. It snowed outside, and the ground is slippery. You should be careful when you go out."

"I know, I’m just one step away from chaining my shoes to stop myself from going out," Cheng Su said with a laugh.

"You!" Little Yu shook her head and took an envelope out of her bag, pushing it over to Cheng Su, "Here, count it!"

"What’s this?" Cheng Su raised an eyebrow.

Mother Qi craned her neck to look over; it seemed thick, probably money?

"Didn’t I just say, aside from buying holiday goods, I came to bring you money. This is this year’s dividend for you!" Little Yu said with a smile.
