Deng Weixia and Liu Wenjing were feeling awkward and uneasy under Cheng Su’s glare, shrinking back timidly.

Seeing this, Cheng Su felt even more infuriated, especially hearing the constant crying of the child. Her own child in her belly was kicking as well, softening her heart.

"Let’s head inside!" Cheng Su walked over and greeted the security guard.

Only then did she notice that neither of them even had an umbrella, planning to walk from the guard’s room to the front of the building in the rain.

"Shade me into the building first, then you can cover them," Cheng Su said to Qi Fengping.

"No need, we can handle a bit of rain, it’s fine!" Deng Weixia immediately replied.

Cheng Su sharply rebuked, "You might be fine with a bit of rain, but what about the child? It’s one thing to neglect yourselves, but don’t mistreat the child."

Deng Weixia immediately fell silent.

Qi Fengping, who knew her sister-in-law’s power, didn’t dare say anything either and just sheltered Cheng Su into the building first, then covered the other two separately.

Cheng Su had already gone upstairs. The rain was pouring hard, and although it was May, the wind was a bit chilling, so she didn’t dare be careless. Catching a cold or fever now was no joke.

His behavior was disrespectful to the elder aunt. Running away with his widowed sister-in-law brought harm to her reputation as well.

Thus, Cheng Su despised him.

No need to say love is great. In her eyes, there’s no greatness, only responsibility and duty.

Deng Weixia sensed Cheng Su’s disapproval but was helpless; he truly had no other option.

The two entered the room, standing in the living room, not daring to speak or sit.

Qi Fengping glanced nervously at her sister-in-law.

Watching water drip off the pair, Cheng Su said, "Take the child down."

"Oh, right!" Qi Fengping, hearing Cheng Su speak, quickly stepped forward to help Liu Wenjing take down the child.

The one on her back was clearly Liu Wenjing’s elder son, around three or four years old, while Qi Fengping held the younger one, whom Cheng Su glanced at, probably only a few months old, thin and small like a little monkey. She was instantly enraged again.

Being a mother-to-be herself, she couldn’t bear to see children suffer. Looking at the mess these two had made, even the children were affected.

"Fengping, go boil some hot water for them to wash and drive away the chill," Cheng Su instructed again.

"Okay!"

"Just rinse the child off a bit..." Liu Wenjing’s voice trailed off under Cheng Su’s glare.

Cheng Su went into the room to find two of her own clothes and handed them over: "These should fit, make do with them!"

Liu Wenjing took them and quietly said, "Thank you."

Cheng Su felt a surge of anger, glaring at Deng Weixia once more, then went back to the room to find a set of Qi Taiguo’s clothes and tossed them to him.
