Since they had come, and brought two children, it wasn’t possible to just drive them out, Qi Taiguo found a dorm, paid the rent, and temporarily settled them down.

After dinner, they discussed future plans, and seeing the kids yawn incessantly, Qi Taiguo took them to rest at the dorm.

Fortunately, blankets and such were bought during the New Year, and the dorm had beds and everything, so a quick setup with the sheets made the place ready for sleep.

When Qi Taiguo returned, Cheng Su was still instructing Qi Fengping not to tell her mom about this; otherwise, if Mother Qi knew, it would be like informing the aunt, leading them to charge over together. Wouldn’t her room turn into a stage for drama?

Qi Fengping did want to talk, but stopped after Cheng Su’s words and asked, "Sis-in-law, will they register for marriage later?"

Cheng Su replied, "They’ve had kids, they have to register them, otherwise they’ll be without legal status."

Qi Fengping sighed, saying, "Will Aunt let them register? Afraid that once they show up, Aunt will chase them with a knife to kill."

Cheng Su pursed her lips and laughed, saying, "Your description is vivid, truly something your aunt would do."

They exchanged glances and both burst into laughter.

"What are you talking about, so funny?" Qi Taiguo saw the sisters-in-law getting along and couldn’t help but ask.

"Nothing much!" Cheng Su glanced at Qi Fengping and said, "Go back to your room and review, all the key points I marked last night, do them again."

Qi Fengping nodded and quickly went into the room.

"Are they all settled?"

Qi Taiguo responded with a hum, took out a cigarette, Cheng Su coughed, touched her large belly, and he sheepishly held on to it, smelled it, and said, "What are those two up to? Uncle eloping with a widow sister-in-law, is that anything good? Living a life unable to lift their heads, is it worth it? If they eloped and lived well, maybe, but they found a cave, ha."

Qi Taiguo sighed again.

"By the way, I just told Fengping not to tell mom about this for now, otherwise, if she knows, the aunt will know too, and who knows if she’ll come straight here. Your aunt, still being that inconvenient." Cheng Su said, "In my view, what Deng Weixia suggested makes sense; it wouldn’t hurt to wait a few days, find a place to settle down, get a job, and then talk to the aunt."

Qi Taiguo frowned.

"Since they’ve been away for over a year, a few days won’t matter, or else, when they all come over, how do I host them? How am I supposed to keep this pregnancy going! I don’t care to deal with their messy accounts." Cheng Su said plainly.

Hearing about the pregnancy, Qi Taiguo glanced at her large belly, true, to avoid distress and said, "Then let’s follow your advice."

Cheng Su finally breathed out a sigh of relief.
