In a few days, her confinement period would be over. Cheng Su stayed home peacefully. With all the good food she was getting every day, she already looked a bit rounder, her complexion was good, dewy and even paler than before.

Besides, she was breastfeeding, naturally sporting a splendid front, and whenever Qi Taiguo looked at it, he had to splash himself with two buckets of cold water just to cool down.

Cheng Su wasn’t satisfied with her figure. She wasn’t really the skinny type, more of the round and fleshy kind, definitely not overweight. But just after one confinement month, she was fretting about needing to lose weight.

Both Mother Cheng and Qi Taiguo strongly opposed this idea.

Mother Cheng said, "What weight to lose, you look so good now, and it’s auspicious too. If you lose weight, you won’t have enough milk supply. What would Qi Xiaoqi eat?"

As for Qi Taiguo, he said, "You look great like this, feels nice too, it’s comfortable to hold you". Cheng Su was so annoyed that she poked his head, accusing him of faulty thinking.

But fretting about losing weight was one thing; Cheng Su cared about herself too. People always say that giving birth and having good confinement care is akin to being reborn. So she was definitely not going to mess with her own health; any dieting would wait until after the confinement.

So she continued eating all the necessary foods, just pairing them with vegetables and fruits for herself.

"Is Sister-in-law Qi awake?"

Cheng Su sat in the living room watching TV with her son, when she heard someone shouting. Mother Cheng, who was washing diapers, came out of the bathroom. Upon seeing who it was, she laughed, "Oh, Sister-in-law Song is visiting?"

Since a new neighbor had moved in and Cheng Su’s confinement restricted her from going out casually, Mother Cheng was naturally more familiar with Sister-in-law Song than Cheng Su was.

"Sister-in-law Song, is your place set up now?" Cheng Su stood up, smiled, and asked, inviting her to take a seat.

Sister-in-law Song came over with her two sons, first glanced at Cheng Su’s room, and said, "It’s more or less organized. Just thought I’d visit, since we’re all neighbors, to get acquainted."

She didn’t sit down but stood in the living room looking around, then walked to Cheng Su’s bedroom door to peek inside, marveling, "Sister-in-law Qi, your place is so spacious, and the decor is lovely. Tsk tsk, this really is a city home, so beautiful!"

Cheng Su saw her looking everywhere, even peeking into her room, which made her a bit displeased. This person was really quite rude.

However, being well-mannered and with a guest at her home, Cheng Su didn’t react but thought maybe she should start closing her bedroom door when she’s the only one home, to prevent guests like Sister-in-law Song from nosing around.

Not that there was anything scandalous in Cheng Su’s room, but the living room was fine while the master bedroom was a private space. How could she let anyone snoop around at will? Sister-in-law Song’s behavior was really unpleasant and made Cheng Su feel her privacy was exposed and violated.

"Yes, ours is larger. Sister-in-law Song, please sit!" Cheng Su prompted her to sit and also invited the two twins.

The twins were five, with runny noses and eyes glued to the TV, unblinking, and occasionally glancing at the fruit on the coffee table.

Cheng Su was well-off, had plenty of snacks and fruits at home. Seeing the kids like this, she was just about to pick up some fruit to give them, when the older one hugged Song Sister-in-law’s leg, saying, "Auntie, I want to eat fruit."

Sister-in-law Song looked at those bright red apples, slapped his hand, "Eat, eat, eat, are you a born glutton? This isn’t your house. You should ask Aunt Qi to give you some."

Cheng Su’s mouth twitched; with the conversation going this way, how could she not give them some?
