"How can you call it nothing?" Aunt glared at her displeased, and Liu Wenjing lowered her head apologetically.

Seeing Cheng Su’s displeased face, Deng Weiqiu quickly said, "Getting familiar with the place is true, but we do have a favor to ask of you both!"

Cheng Su said indifferently, "Talk about it, cousin. If it’s something we can help with, we’ll definitely oblige as family."

Seeing Cheng Su’s cold demeanor, Deng Weiqiu felt a chill internally but persisted, "I want to find a job, but I’m not familiar with the area, and both of you are well-acquainted here..."

The implication was clear, they were here to have Cheng Su and her husband find them job opportunities.

Cheng Su saw this but pretended not to, thinking that Deng Weiqiu had gained a bit more tact.

"Mom, Aunt and the others rarely come over. Let’s have them stay for dinner, just cook a couple more dishes," Cheng Su suggested.

"Alright." Mother Cheng handed the child to Cheng Su and went to make arrangements.

Cheng Su let them watch TV while she took the child into a room to breastfeed. As soon as she entered, Aunt’s face darkened.

Deng Weiqiu whispered in her mother’s ear, "Mom, stop being so stern, we’re here to ask for help!"

Over the past few years, she had been worn out from hardships and had grown fearful of difficult times. No matter how high her expectations were, she couldn’t deny the reality.
