"Beg me!" She smiles triumphantly.

Qi Taiguo grinds his teeth, swiftly lifts her, and pins her underneath him, "Who’s begging who now?"

Before long, the room is filled with intimate pleas, soft whispers that make one’s face blush.

After satisfying their desires, both take a long breath, holding each other while chatting on the bed.

"It’s good to have your own place; you can do anything freely," Qi Taiguo whispers, embracing Cheng Su’s naked shoulder.

Cheng Su glances at him, playfully scolding, "Were you not free before?"

"I was, but it’s not quite the same as now," Qi Taiguo laughs softly.

Cheng Su snorts, poking his chest, "Once you’re over there, you’ll be a lone monk. Don’t even think about glancing at other female soldiers or have any wandering thoughts."

Qi Taiguo laughs heartily, "You’re getting jealous before I’ve even left?"

Cheng Su says, "I’m famously jealous—the whole courtyard knows it."

Qi Taiguo is delighted, kissing her on the temple, "I’m someone’s exclusive property; these eyes wouldn’t dare wander."

Only then does Cheng Su show a satisfied expression, knowing that days like these, where they’re deeply in love, will be rare for a while. She cuddles up to him like a cat, wrapping her arms around his waist and resting her face on his chest.

"I’ll miss you."

Qi Taiguo gently pats her back, kisses the top of her head, and says, "I’ll miss you too. But don’t worry, when our hearts are together, distance doesn’t seem far."

When hearts are close, distance never poses a problem.
