Chapter 1793: Chapter 1795: A Meeting of Minds

Cheng Su brought Zhan Qin to the Seafood Shop, introduced him to the staff in the shop, and announced to everyone his role: from now on, he is the shop manager, and his decisions are equivalent to hers.

After getting to know each other, Cheng Su took him around the shop and showed him the shop’s account books and other materials.

Zhan Qin glanced through them and said, “The sales these past few days haven’t been great.”

Zhan Qin gave her a sidelong look and said, “Opening a shop and not wanting to make money, you might as well not open it. It would save you the effort.”

“Me? I might just run it into the ground,” Zhan Qin shrugged and said.

Qi Jianguo glanced at him, then at his sister-in-law, wondering where they found this oddball. Is he going to make it or not?

Despite his comments, Cheng Su still didn’t get upset; she just smiled, “If you manage to run it into the ground, that would really be a talent.”

Zhan Qin raised an eyebrow and continued looking at the accounts.

The shop assistants exchanged looks, feeling a bit uneasy and finding it strange. This big Seafood Shop, listening to these two talk, it sounded more like play. Is this the world of the wealthy?

They really didn’t understand.

Whether they understood or not didn’t matter, as long as Cheng Su and the others did. The two of them sat together, discussing the development of the shop and how to expand its market.

Yu Qingjiu watched for a while and overheard bits of the conversation. She pulled Qi Jianguo aside to whisper.

“This guy Sister Su found, he’s young but really capable. The things he talks about have depth,” she said with a hint of admiration.

Working a summer job here was very rewarding; Qi Jianguo’s sister-in-law Cheng Su already had quite extraordinary insights, but listening to what Zhan Qin said made her feel her vision had broadened even more.

“Really?” Qi Jianguo listened, feeling a bit uneasy, and glanced at Zhan Qin. The way he carried himself was filled with a kind of otherworldly confidence and unintentional arrogance, making Qi Jianguo feel a bit deflated.

As a rural kid himself, he really couldn’t compare, but in the future, there’s no reason he couldn’t be as confident as this guy.

He needed to work a little harder.

“I’m going back to Qing City in a few days, so I’m leaving the shop to you. Don’t say those demoralizing things, I have confidence in you. When I’m not around, you make the decisions. If you’re really unsure, just give me a call,” Cheng Su said to Zhan Qin. “You can also contact Cheng Yaozu or the old man.”

Zhan Qin succinctly replied, “Sure.”

“So, you officially start work tomorrow?” Cheng Su asked.

Zhan Qin nodded.

“Oh, regarding the salary…” Cheng Su remembered the unresolved issue.

“Whatever you hire a manager with, that’s fine. I’m not really in it for the money. Anyway, I’m just using this shop to practice,” Zhan Qin shrugged.

Cheng Su’s mouth twitched, feeling a bit sympathetic for her shop; he’s another unruly one.
