Back To The 80s: President's Doted Wife

Chapter 1957 - 1959: The Farmer and the Snake

Chapter 1957: Chapter 1959: The Farmer and the Snake

Shen Rong was silent all the way, not saying a word. Lin Biao noticed and didn’t dare speak either. When they arrived below Chiang Tian’s company, a man wearing a baseball cap was standing there.

Lin Biao got out of the car first, approached the man, and upon hearing that Chiang Qing had not yet left, his face darkened further. He turned back to open the car door for Shen Rong.

Shen Rong got out of the car, supporting himself with a cane, and looked up at this towering building.

It’s quite amusing; Chiang Qing said she wanted to open a company, insisting it had to be grand. She forcibly chose such a building and put Chiang Tian in charge. As for him, Shen Rong, he was overly fond of the Mistress who was as young as his granddaughter, fully supporting her wherever she wanted.

But he didn’t expect his support would unknowingly help them turn this place into a den of adultery.

What irony!

Shen Rong, who had dominated the world for most of his life, was respectfully called Elder Shen by everyone. Who dared touch his reverse scale? Yet little did he expect, in his old age, to be toyed with by two kids, completely unaware.

He’s gotten old; he must admit to aging!

But regardless of being old or not, no one can betray him, especially not his women. Otherwise, there’s only one outcome—death!

"Let’s go up!" Shen Rong walked ahead.

Lin Biao followed, saying, "Master, why don’t I go up first to take a look?" He was still worried about the old master’s health being unable to withstand the shock.

Shen Rong glanced at him and said, "You investigated thoroughly just to make me concede, didn’t you? We’ve come this far; what more could be hidden? Let’s go up and see how they fooled me."

Lin Biao was at a loss for words.

As Shen Rong walked, he said, "In fact, it’s my own fault for losing face. I knew this kid could be ruthless, but I didn’t expect her courage to be so fierce. I underestimated her."

His words were a self-deprecating jab. He understood Chiang Qing’s nature and appreciated her ruthlessness, making her his Third Mistress.

But to think she would be so bold as to betray even him?

"Master..." Lin Biao knew he was referring to the time Chiang Qing came for help and later managed to kill Gao Hongbo.

"Old Lin, I truly am old, playing the role of a farmer, bitten by a snake!" Shen Rong chuckled.

Remembering the time Chiang Qing came to him for help, her pitiful demeanor akin to a harmless snake, he softened that one time, only to become the laughable farmer!

Therefore, one mustn’t easily soften their heart; see, hasn’t he learned his lesson? Dealt a heavy slap on the face.

Lin Biao was greatly saddened, thinking he must dismember those two adulterous scoundrels, toss them into the sea to feed the sharks, to ease the rage in his heart.

"Tell me, did I lack in giving her anything? Except for children." Shen Rong truly couldn’t fathom Chiang Qing’s motive.

"Master, greed knows no bounds; a snake swallowing an elephant—Chiang Qing, always deep in obsession, perhaps..."

Shen Rong sighed, "What a pity, I thought she could be with me until my dying day!"

Lin Biao said nothing.

The two stood at the company entrance, and as soon as the receptionists saw them, they quickly stood up.

"No need to notify." Lin Biao said coldly.

The crowd assumed Shen Rong was being low-key, thinking he wanted to surprise Chiang Qing. Seeing Lin Biao’s stern face, they kept silent.

Standing in front of the tightly shut office door of Chiang Tian, Shen Rong said to Lin Biao, "You don’t need to go in."

"Master..." Lin Biao frowned.

"Don’t let others laugh at us!" Shen Rong looked at him calmly.

Lin Biao immediately understood his meaning; knowing Chiang Qing’s affair was one thing, but it shouldn’t be publicized to everyone. Otherwise, where would Shen Rong’s dignity go?
