Cheng Su hung up the phone, glanced at Fei Yin, and thought to herself that her background was quite impressive—a special forces instructor from a military district who had just retired for personal reasons.

Despite her petite appearance, she was known for being demanding and fierce, with top-notch combat skills. In close combat, even Qi Taiguo probably wasn’t her match, and her tracking abilities weren’t bad either.

Having someone like her to protect her and her son was more than sufficient.

He’s watched too much TV, all those martial arts dramas, and kept saying he wants to learn kung fu and become a great hero. His father taught him horse stance before he left, so now he messes around every day and shows off whenever someone comes over!"

Fei Yin smiled, "Not at all. I think he looks rather impressive. He has an unusual physique; learning martial arts should prove beneficial, strengthening his body and giving him self-defense skills, which is great!"

Cheng Su was amused yet exasperated, thinking, "Unusual physique, huh? Why not say he’s incredibly gifted?"

"He’s still young, so let him play freely," Cheng Su could only say.

"He’s good!" Fei Yin praised him and then looked at her, "Did you confirm my identity with Ning Ge?"

Cheng Su was taken aback, a bit embarrassed, and brushed her neck.

"It’s alright; I understand. It’s good to be cautious. Nowadays, security is poor, with traffickers and others wearing the face of a good person," Fei Yin said.

Cheng Su could only offer an awkward smile, "Haha, yes." It’s good that you understand.

Qi Xiaoqi saw them talking and stopped practicing horse stance, walked over, and sat down.

"Ning Ge has roughly told me about your situation here. How do you find this arrangement?" Fei Yin switched to the main topic.

Cheng Su replied, "Actually, I don’t really mind. The main concern is my son. Chiang Qing has, through investigation, learned about my son’s information. Now, with her like this, I’m worried that if she gets aggressive, she might do something. So primarily, my focus is on protecting Xiao Qi."

Fei Yin nodded.

"With her having no updates now, is the delay affecting you?" Cheng Su inquired.

Fei Yin shook her head, "If I have any matters to attend to, I will inform you and Ning Ge in advance. But as you mentioned, keeping this defense isn’t a solution; we need to find her. Some people, once stuck on a point, can’t move past it. If she becomes irrational and reckless, collateral damage is quite possible."

"That’s what I think too. The most important thing is that living in fear is hardly fun," Cheng Su said with a bitter smile.

It’s hard to believe that one person, Chiang Qing, could make them so defensive—is it because they have vulnerabilities?

Indeed, a person without weaknesses is indeed stronger than those with them, and is often more ruthless. However, if Chiang Qing dared to hurt Xiao Qi, she would certainly fight tooth and nail.

Fei Yin noticed how she looked at Qi Xiaoqi, eyes filled with concern but also determination and thought to herself that this was a mother’s nature.

"Don’t worry, I’ll do everything I can to protect him and you!" Fei Yin said unconsciously.

Cheng Su smiled, wanting to ask why she was willing to come, but felt it was unnecessary and instead brought up the arrangements for Fei Yin’s accommodation.
