Back to the Past: The Rise of the False Heiress Marrying the True Tycoon

Chapter 1235: Professional Pig Farmer

Chapter 1235: Professional Pig Farmer

Su Li grinned cheekily. “Of course not! My brother says you know so much—you should be my personal tutor. I won’t pay you a single cent, but how about I make you the future manager of my pig farm instead? What do you think?”

Xu Sheng let out a helpless sigh. Su Li was now offering promises like a seasoned politician—wasn’t that a kind of growth in itself? He didn’t mind tutoring Su Li, really. After all, it gave him yet another reason to drop by the Su household.

The two of them holed up in Su Li’s room for an entire afternoon, immersed in study. Just when Xu Sheng thought they’d earned some leisure time, Su Li yanked him into the courtyard and insisted they practice horse stance exercises.

“I’m going to be a real professional pig farmer,” Su Li declared, eyes blazing with earnest determination. “Smart and strong! I’ll study hard and train my body. I want to be like my dad. And you should too—how can anyone work at a pig farm without strength? Come on, brace your legs! We’re in this together!”

Not far away, Su Shen was watering the flowers that Gu Zi had carefully arranged. Beneath the crabapple tree, chrysanthemums were planted in neat circles—Gu Zi’s newest obsession.

Su Shen helped out with watering and pest control whenever he had a free moment. Anything his wife cared about, he took it upon himself to protect. That was his way of showing he loved her.

Hearing the two boys shouting about pig farming, Su Shen frowned slightly and turned to Gu Zi, who had just wandered over. “Is Su Li… planning to become a butcher?”

Gu Zi laughed softly, letting him pull her into an embrace. “That’s Su Bing’s idea,” she explained in a gentle voice. “He’s planning to take over the Xu family assets, grow them, and eventually invest in research. Su Li, on the other hand, is set on returning to manage the pig farm. And Teddy, when he grows up, will inherit your wealth and let us both retire in peace. As for Su Le, she’s destined to be the carefree young heiress.”

She chuckled at the vision, still a bit stunned by how meticulously Su Bing had planned everything out. But she trusted his instincts—he was the eldest, after all, and had a mind for strategy. With him taking on the burden of planning, Su Shen would finally have more time for her. What wasn’t to love about that?

Su Shen still looked skeptical. “Does Su Li really think butchering pigs is something to be proud of?”

Gu Zi looked up at him with a teasing smile. “Well, you’re the one who did it. He admires you from the bottom of his heart—of course he thinks it’s a heroic profession.”

Her words hit him straight in the heart.

Su Shen’s voice lowered, softened by the moment. “And you? Gu Zi, what do you think of me?”

She tugged his ear playfully, leaned in close, and whispered, “To me, you’re my husband. The best husband in the world.”𝘧𝓇ℯ𝑒𝓌𝑒𝑏𝓃𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘭.𝒸ℴ𝓂

Su Shen’s throat bobbed visibly. A familiar warmth surged inside him—a heat that had nothing to do with the sun. Without another word, he scooped her up in his arms and carried her toward their bedroom.

Teddy was still napping in his crib, deep in a sleep so profound not even thunder could rouse him. Just like Su Li.

Gently, Su Shen shut the door, locked it, and laid Gu Zi on the bed with utmost care. He kissed her forehead, then her lips, lingering just a bit longer each time.

She smiled mischievously, amused at how this mature man of hers could still act like an impulsive teenager the moment she so much as winked at him. Daylight or not, he couldn’t seem to resist.

Their kisses grew more fervent, each touch a wordless confession. She looped her arms around his neck, drawing him closer, their breath mingling as they held each other with the ease and intensity of long-time lovers.

Months of restraint—months spent allowing her body to heal—melted away in that quiet room. They moved together gently at first, then more urgently, as though trying to make up for lost time. Every caress was an unspoken promise, every glance full of devotion.

Su Shen had always been protective in love—he knew her body’s limits and never pushed too far. Even in moments of passion, he was careful, in control. There were times, of course, when he would completely unleash himself, when he’d pull her close and hold her all night long, but even then, he never let the wildness cross into hurt.

And that was why, when their connection deepened—when she finally gave herself over fully—Gu Zi did so with absolute trust.

She knew he would bring her joy. Never pain.
